  • "My wife and I chose this restaurant as the ads were saying this was the only 4 star restaurant in the South Tahoe area. All the staff were very attentive. The waiters were wearing white jackets, very classy. The food was excellent. I ordered the filet mignon and my wife had the salmon. Both were very tasty and well presented. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes fine dining."

  • "My boyfriend and I went here for a nice romantic dinner while in South Lake Tahoe. The ahi appetizer was to die for! For dinner we got the chateaubriand for 2 which was also incredible. They came right to our table to carve the filet minion. The crowd that night was slightly noisy, although I can't say that was at the fault of the restaurant. Also, our reservation was for 8pm on a Saturday and the club nearby was sort of noisy as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want great food and wine!"

  • "Ciera Steakhouse restaurant within the MontBleu Casino and Resort has exceptional service and very good food. The steak and lobster is amazing. A bit pricey but worth it. They give you complimentary chocolate covered strawberries at the end of your meal which are presented on a dry ice bed. Have the coffee as it comes with 3 flavored pots of cream -- very yummy!"

  • "Certainly the best restaurant in So. Lake Tahoe. My wife and I wanted a romantic place for a special celebration My wife and I wanted a place to celebrate and we found it. Her steak was perfect and, believe it or not, I had a vegetarian dish off the midweek "special menu" which was the best vegetarian dish I ever had anywhere. The amount of food was more than enough and the quality was surprisingly top rate. The food was only topped by the service. Our server, Marla, was very attentive, knew exactly when to show up and gave us the perfect amount of time to ourselves. Everyone from the maître d' to the head waiter, Tommy, to the assistants were friendly and helpful. Guaranteed, we'll return on our next trip to So. Lake Tahoe. "

  • "We have eaten at Ciera many times, every time we visit the Lake Tahoe area. It never disappoints! This is one to not miss. It is a steakhouse, but the chef knows just what to do with fish, as well. The salads are great, as are the desserts."

  • "A friend who works at a competing establishment recommended Ciera to us. The staff was very attentive and gracious, while the food was excellent. My husband loved the lobster bisque for an appetizer, while I went with the Caesar salad. He had the melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon while I chose the vegetarian turrine. Deserts were berries and cream and molten chocolate cake. We will be making this our first choice of dining any time we're at the Lake. "

  • "Our sirloins were excellent. The only thing I would change is to have the waiter put a bread basket on the table. 3 of us got heels selected for us by the "bread guy." Also, one in our party got a salmon plate with feta, artichokes, and olives. It was quite salty. "

  • "I went with my husband for our anniversary. We were seated in an oversized booth with privacy curtian. Ou wait staff were perfectly attentive and not intrucive. We started with Ahi. The best we have ever had. We also had bread with three types of butter. Next was a caesar salad. For our main course i had crab legs. So fresh and flavorful. My husband had the filet. The best he has ever had. We shared mashed potatoes and asparagus. Very good. The brought us a chocolate lava cake and a card for our anniversay. Very thoughtful. The coffee is a fun experience and the chocolate covered strawberries are a nice touch. We have been to a lot of steakhouses and this is our favorite."

Figuring the portions would be small we ordered an extra appetizer. Shouldn't have done it... we were full even before the entrees came. Lobster Bisque was to die for, and cheesecake dessert was so big I took it home to enjoy later. "

  • "This was our first time dining here and we had heard nothing but great things about Ciera. I made our reservation through OpenTable and noted that it was our anniversary in comments. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and wished a Happy Anniversary - they even gave us an anniversary card! We were seated immediately in a cozy draped booth - very romantic. From beginning to end our dining experience was exceptional, staff very attentive and accommodating. The food was AMAZING. Every bite was shear delight for us. It was the best dining experience we have every had. The dinner was well worth the price, we left full and satisfied. It was a wonderful treat and was totally worth every penny. We will highly recommend Ciera to everyone!"

I'm guessing because they made a bunch ahead and refrigerated it. But it was deliciously rich and so yummy. Definitely reserve a booth, very romantic. Overall a great meal for the price. Will definitely be going back."

  • "This was our second trip to Ciera....likely our last. The bar is great (and the martinis very well prepared). However, the menu items (although old school and fun), just don't come off well. They look great....the pricing is in the ballpark, but they're just not that good. We've tried a couple of different items on the app and dinner sides of the menu, and well, lack-luster is the word for it. "

  • "We had a little wait before being seated. Seated at only table with big red velvet uncomfortable chairs next to kitchen. That was the only negative thing. Our waiter was great and personable. Prix Fixe menu had something for everyone. The food was presented nicely and cooked perfectly. The pina colada cheesecake was the best Ive ever had. Just when you think you're done they bring chocolate dipped stawberries. YUMMY! We left stuffed."

  • "We went there to celebrate out son's 10th birthday. We have been there before and went back because we love the service, food and ambiance. But once the staff heard it was my son's birthday, they could not stop finding ways to make him feel special. From Megan greeting us and of course Tommy, the consummate Maître D, to Alexys and our server Ashley, our experience was the best we have ever had there. They ended up the meal with not just a special birthday dessert for our son, but a hand written birthday card signed by the staff. The personal touches and recognition are what had us coming back before, but this time was over the top! They consistently go out of their way to make each dining experience exceptional."

  • "We made a "spur of the moment" getaway up to Tahoe for some skiing. We made early dinner reservations to try their prix-fix dinner. It was our first time at Ciera and we were amazed. Amazing service, amazing ambience and amazing food. From the hostess to the wait staff excellent attentive service. My wife ordered the lobster bisque and filet mingnon and molten chocolate cake for her prix fix. Each was excellent especially the lobster bisque. I had the rack of lamb off the regular menu. Excellent again. We would definitely recommend Ciera for special occasions or a romantic evening while in Tahoe."

The noise level was pretty high but there was a large party in the room and that contributed to the noise. Definitely will recommend the place to friends and will gladly go back."
