Cielo Restaurant and BarThis is a real gemGREAT food, reasonable prices and a wonderful outdoor deck overlooking downtown St. Louis and the riverfront - what else could you ask for??? We will definitely be back!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAlmost ExcellentFour for dinner last Saturday. All had the tasting menu. 3 of 4 courses were exceptional. Main dish was not. Overcooked and underwhelming. Service started out well but deteriorated all night. In spite of it all we had a great time and will be back.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect EveningWe had made reservations to eat inside, however, the evening was perfect so we asked to be seated on the terrace. This restaurant is located on the rooftop of the Four Seasons Hotel and overlooks downtown and the arch. There was music but on the other side of the terrace so diners could enjoy it but it was unobtrusive. We opted for the four-course tasting menu which was fabulous. They have an extensive wine list so everyone should find something they would like. Think the cheapest bottle was $34 and up into the hundreds. We couldn't have had a better experience....excellent food, ambience, service....perfect evening.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMixed feelingsReceived a call confirming my reservations since they were "very booked" Nice evening, we were the only ones sitting inside. "Very booked?" Service was very good, usually is excellent. My entree, the swordfish, was a bit disappointing, although my wife's chicken was better than excellent. Dessert was good, just felt strange sitting by yourself inside. Oh, we will be back, but not real soon!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeMy wife and I had a great time. Everyone was extremely kind. Our waiter Patrick was really patient with us as well. It was our first time visiting your establishment. He explained the menu to us in great detail. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary. Just when we thought we were done with eating. Patrick brought us out a plate that had Happy 10th Anniversary on it with 2 chocolate covered strawberries. He made my wife happy, so I was happy. We will definitely dine here again. My wife has already referred a dozen people. Thank you again for making our night extra special.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMto cielo or not to cielowe enjoyed going back to one of our favorite spots. impressing out-of-town guests is easy at cielo. the management and staff always make you feel important, from mgr cory down to the valet boys. the food is awsome and the service is perfect (not someone waiting over your shoulder for a crumb to drop). the noise level is still annoyingly loud but a small price to pay for being treated like royalty. keep up the good work, cory cuff.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible from start to finish!Went the other night for a friends' going away dinner. From start to finish, the hospitality, food, service, and wine was incredible! Most of our group chose to do the four course meal, and we were blown away by the fabulous options. Everything was absolutely delicious, and our server made excellent recommendations. We ate inside because it was storming when we arrived. However, by dessert, it ended up being a beautiful night so we completed the experience w drinks on the rooftop! I've already recommended it to friends! Overall, it was a fabulous experience!5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExemplary of the Four SeasonsExemplary of the Four Seasons experience. Lovely space, nice service and a range of good food options. A very good choice for business breakfast, lunch or dinner meetings.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMDining at Cielo is a mini-vacationI love dining at Cielo because it's like no other place in St. Louis. The view of the Gateway Arch is different because of the angle you see from Cielo, which makes it interesting to this St. Louis native. The patio is modern and beautiful and I love the combination of elements with their fire pit/fountain combination. However, without fabulous food, it would hardly be worth the trip. The food is artistically plated and contains delicious flavor combinations. If you are celebrating something special, be sure to tell them when you make your reservation and they will help you celebrate with something special. I won't ruin the surprise. Enjoy!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat placeme and my boyfriend went there for our date.
We had the four course menu and surprisingly those were enough to fulfill our appetite.
The chocolate mousse and tiramisu are to die for.
If it gets a little chilly out, you can also ask for a robe.
Everything was great but our waiter never shows up. The managers came check on us a couple of times and they were very friendly.
Overall a great experience, and food definitely worth the money we paid for.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat time, food and serviceWe had some good friends in from Los Angeles and wanted to treat them to a nice dinner. Jeff our server was great and wasn't at your table the whole night bothering you, but was on top of everything and kept the dinner moving and had great recommendations on drinks and food. We will be back for sure and next time will try sitting outside if weather is nice.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulousThe entire evening was fabulous! Our server, Jeff, was attentive and helpful when ordering. Eddy stepped in when Jeff got busy with a large table and he was just as good. All the bus boys and other staff were wonderful as well. The food was excellent and the evening was a perfect celebration of a graduation and a birthday. Thanks so much.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation Celebration DinnerWe had a party of 5 celebrating graduation. Everyone we encountered from the valet to the restaurant manager was very pleasant and helpful. Three people had the tasting menu and 2 ordered entrees. Everyone claimed their food to be excellent. We were able to make substitutions without any issue. The view was incredible and we took lots of photographs.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMSaturday BrunchMom ordered lobster ravioli (fantastic), sister had blueberry creme brulee french toast (amazing), and I ordered the white chocolate chip blueberry pancakes (the chips melted like butter atop what have been called, "the best pancakes in the country"--I think they very well may be. The texture was lovely and the flavors were complimented elegantly by an aromatic pot of Rishi blueberry rooibos tea. Afterwards we visited the rooftop seating/longing area-such beauty and vibrant colors in an otherwise "dilapidated and sometimes graffiti-laced" location should probably be considered an oasis.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent. OurThe food was excellent. Our server was knowledgable and made great wine pairing choices for each course. He did seem rushed. My only complaint would be the noise level, it was really loud.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food & service, wrong musicThis restaurant gets A's across the board. The food, service, ambiance and view were all superb. The only downside is the music. While they should be playing soft, quite and romantic jazz or classical music, they were playing pop and dance music which was totally out of character for the restaurant. That was a little disappointing because it sort of ruined the mood but but other than that, it's a great restaurant for special occasions, delicious food and dessert and romantic outings!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMHey Cielo, hold your special eventsUnfortunately, we had our meal here on a special occasion that was set up in the lobby. This lead to some delayed service and very noisy experience. The weather was bad, so there was no relief in using the outdoor dining area.
Our food was good. Not as good as other restaurants in the city, but good never less. The prices are a little lower than what you would expect to pay a meal in a fine hotel. The bar prices are out of control, though. Many of the drink cost exceed Manhattan cost and baby, St. Louis is no Manhattan.
We will go back, but will check and make sure there is not a special event planned.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great experienceWe had a great experience - excellent service - and they allowed us to use the 20% off coupon for being new member of OpenTable!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMVisited Cielo for a specialVisited Cielo for a special anniversary dinner. The food and service was wonderful. They even treated us to champaign and strawberries to celebrate. We will definitely go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I are frequentMy wife and I are frequent diners at many of St.Louis's best restaurants. Our expectations are pretty hign, and Cielo did not disappoint us. We were lucky enough to get a window table overlooking the river, arch and downtown. Got to be one of the best views in the city. The food was excellent and inovative. My wife had the veal and I had a striped bass special. It was a busy Saturday night, but both of our meals were prepared perfectly. Service was great, and the wine list on an iPad was a fun innovation.
While not cheap, I felt the the prices were very fair for the quality of the meal.
One note, because the restaurant is open to the bar, the noise level can be fairly high.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBest view of the St.LouisBest view of the St.Louis skyline! Wonderful service from the bar staff and the best duck I have ever tasted. Will recommend to anyone visiting St. Louis.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe came here after readingWe came here after reading about Ceilo prior to an upcoming trip to St. Louis. We are always looking for high quality dining experiences. The food was superb. The staff attentive. The view was incredible. You want to visit here in the warmer months to take advantage of the rooftop patio. The only negative was that the bar and dining areas were not seperated. We were subjected to the noise of bar-goers during our meal, which is not what we expected or wanted.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were wonderful. It was a little noisey our liking, especially for the price. There was a beautiful view, unfortunately, they have over 1/2 of the tables set up so that only 1/2 of the table gets to see the view, the other half is facing a wall. It would have been nice if they would have given a little more thought into the seating arrangements so more people could see the beautiful view of the arch.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I have eatenMy husband and I have eaten many times at Cielo. The food is very good and the ambiance of the Four Seasons is warm and friendly. It is one of my favorite places to dine in Saint Louis.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI like this restaurant soI like this restaurant so much more since Chef Fabrizio took over. The food is delicious & the menu choices are fabulous. You can't beat the view overlooking the river & arch. I love it!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMy family and I celebratedMy family and I celebrated my birthday here this past Saturday and it was a great experience. The view is outstanding! We had wonderful service, we all decided on the Tasting Menu and it was definitely the way to go. We are definitely coming back when we can enjoy their amazing patio.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a wonderful restaurantThis is a wonderful restaurant whose atmosphere in STL can't be beat. The chef prepares delicious items and the Tasting Menu is a nice touch for those who want to sample more items from the menu. Be aware they truly are sample size portions on the tasting menu, but still delicious. Most everything else about this restaurant is wonderful and it is my favorite in St. Louis.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was outstanding,The service was outstanding, but the food was just kind of bland. I was really hoping for bigger flavors.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Four Seasons dining w a view!Located within the Four Seasons, Cielo delivers innovative food and excellent service. The bar has bleu cheese stuffed olives which are always a welcome feature! There are prix fixe options on the menu and great food selections, including an incredible pan seared veal dish that is worth going back for! Fantastic skyline view, too!2/21/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was DELICIOUS.Everything was DELICIOUS. Very reasonably priced. Excellent service. The staff and kitchen were very attentive to dietary restrictions. Highly recommend.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
