  • "The good was excellent but it took them over 2 hours to serve our party of 4! We had purposely chosen a 7 PM reservation to allow time before seeing a 10 PM show so we could have cocktails, but our dinner took every bit of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The food was delicious, but half of our party was starving by the time their food came because no bread was offered and they did not have a starter course."

  • "I can't say enough about our experience. Every aspect of the evening - being greeted at the desk, the wine, food and the service was everything a 5 diamond restaurant should be! Our waiter (Brian) was outstanding and his recommendations were not only appreciated, but they were spot on! The view is terrific and it made for a perfect evening. We even got a tour of the entire kitchen! One of the nicest meals and experiences of our lives. Thanks!"

  • "The ambiance, whether inside or outside, is so welcoming and relaxing. Even though it is a very nice restaurant (after all, it is located in the Four Seasons hotel!), it is not pompous. The hostess, servers, and the manager were very attentive without hovering. The food was superb! We went for lunch and had the grilled octopus, crunchy olives, and shrimp small plates. We also had excellent salads, one with butternut squash and frisee, the other with roasted beets and spring greens. We had the white chocolate cheesecake...so light, fluffy, and delicious! I will definitely go back to this restaurant!"

  • "My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here. Service was friendly and prompt. Our Caesar salad was very tasty but a little dry. I had the Tagliolini with shrimp which was excellent and my husband had the ribeye which he enjoyed very much as well. We had a great view of the Arch and the outdoor patio. Dessert was delicious and we were surprised with a dish that had "Happy Anniversay" written in chocolate with two chocolate covered strawberries. Wonderful evening and would definitely come back!"

  • "When we arrived the Front Desk had no record of the Online Reservation we had submitted. I had to locate the Confirmation Email on my cell phone to prove we had a reservation. After I showed them the email, they told me that they had some trouble with the Online System that night. Well...if they already knew there was an issue, in the interest of customer satisfaction they should have taken my word for it and apologized right away. I felt a bit like a criminal standing there in the dim light searching for the email to prove what I was saying was true."

  • "I took my husband to this restaurant to celebrate his birthday. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our server went out of his way to get a great shot of us out on the terrace. The view of the skyline is just perfect. It was too cold to enjoy sitting out on the roof, but I imagine it would be fantastic in the spring and summer. The menu was varied and the food was very good. I enjoyed the veal ravioli and my husband had the filet mignon and they were both excellent. It was not crowded the night we dined so we enjoyed a very long dinner and it was quite romantic. I highly recommend dining here."

  • "We were looking for a place to have a nice dinner in St. Louis and found most of the restaurants we were researching seemed to be either sports bar types of places, informal rib places, or very old style cuisine. Cielo seemed to be much more "new age" with a lighter type of fare and a relaxed type of formality. That is exactly what it turned out to be and as a bonus, it was in The Four Seasons Hotel where we were staying and had a great view of The Gateway Arch. Our server, Bryan, was exceptional displaying a knowledge of the menu and not afraid to offer suggestions and when asked. The evening was capped off by Bryan asking if we wanted to tour the kitchen which we did and it was the perfect ending to a fine meal."

  • "It was2/15; one day after valentines day... menu was limited due to a valentines special... however it was never disclosed to us that there was a valentines dinner menu for 2/15... this was our first time for dinning there and we were looking forward to it... we had looked at the menu online and already had expectations of what we were going to order. Service was very slow, to the point it ruined our dinning experience completely!!! Total lack of attention. We couldn't wait to get out of there and will never go back."

  • "The maitre d' used our names when we arrived for our dinner reservation. The wait staff also used our names--a very inviting and warm reception. The waiting staff was very attentive and helpful. The food was very tasty. I had the short rib and my wife had the chicken. The rib meat was excellent. Vegetable portions were modest. The ambience, looking over the St Louis downtown skyline with the Arch in view, was great. We were there for Valentine's Day and could not go outside, but the outside area looks like it would we a great experience too with the right weather."

  • "Haven't been to Cielo in a while so decided to give it another try. Not sure I will return. Service was very slow and hard to believe I was at a Four Season Hotel. Almost 25 minutes to receive our drinks. Ordered three martinis and our appetizers came out before the drinks. Each martini was filled an inch below the glass. My shrimp appetizer tasted like it was put together earlier in the day and kept in the fridge. The pasta course was better with the veal ravioli being very good and the shrimp pasta was good but a little to creamy. The entre of rare tuna was good. Tried three desserts and each was ok I would not want to order them again. Overall a very average meal and probably would not return."

  • "One of my business partners was in town for 24 hours. We had a meeting downtown and needed a place for lunch. The view of the Arch, the river, downtown are most impressive from Cielo. Everything about the Four Seasons is impressive. It's hard to believe one is in St. Louis! Our server was outstanding and most accommodative, even noting the food exceptions I had noted on my Open Table reservation. Not every server at every restaurant does. If making a good impression is important, strongly consider Cielo."

  • "We had a great brunch at Cielo. The eggs benedict was very nicely done; during brunch, you can "build your own" and select ham, bacon, or salmon and from various accoutrements. My husband had delicious buttermilk pancakes -- generous portions, but he managed to eat it all with my help.The service was friendly and professional. The atmosphere was very comfortable and you can't beat the view of the Arch. I understand they sometimes run out of bomboloni, but it is worth the extra calories to try these deep-fried doughnuts with cream filling (vanilla and chocolate). They are the perfect sweetness and texture."

  • "From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. Cielo staff called us by name and congratulated us on our wedding anniversary. All you have to do is tell them the reason you are celebrating, and they make it a special evening. I won't spoil the surprise, I'll just tell you that you are in good hands at Cielo. The food is wonderful and our waiter, Jeffrey, was fabulous, along with the other staff who never let the beverage levels go down too far. The manager checked in more than once, but was not bothersome. If you want to know how "the other half lives", go to Cielo and find out for yourself!"
