  • "Loved the new brunch buffet! Tons of selection means that there is something for everyone - pasta, pizzas, eggs, salads, cured meats, fruit, and the list goes on. The service was great - server recommended several items to us and encouraged us to try stuff out and keep going back for more. Great place for people watching on King West."

  • "Delicious food, exceptional service, fabulous ambiance and decor. What more could you ask for?! A great spot for a casual lunch with friends or family, special occasion or night out on the town."

  • "I ordered the pasta with lobster, very bland, have never asked for salt in a restaurant, this was a first, but even salt didn't help. Partner ordered Venison, $38, it was good, but not worth the price, whatever grain they served it with was crunchy."

  • "Cibo seems like one of those places that you would go back to again and again. We got in at 6:30 pm on a Friday night and got chatting with our waitress about the décor (my friends are architects) and she volunteered to take us on a “tour” around the restaurant. She was also very knowledgeable about the wine list and gave us some food recommendations as well since the menu was long. We started off with the burrata, which was exquisite and their house made focaccia. For our mains, we had the seafood risotto, short rib, lasagna and the ravioli. All except for the lasagna were above average. They also have a selection of pastas that are made in house."

  • "Great food, good service. They have my husband and I a free glass of champagne as we were celebrating our anniversary. Portions are large, perfect for sharing."

  • "Cibo offers an authentic Italian menu with plenty of mouth watering options to choose from. The venue is stunning and has a great vibe. Love the Life is Beautiful wall. The serving crew were polite and their uniform (converse sneakers) were a great touch. The food came out within a reasonable time frame, however our table could have been cleared a few more times than is actually was. Overall great spot and I will definitely be going back!!"

  • "Went to CIBO for my third time last week and it was as good as the first two times. Great service (different person each time), friendly, attentive but not in your intrusive. The food...amazing. I had venison. It was excellent. Did I mention they have an excellent wine list? The atmosphere on Saturday night was energetic. Overall, another great experience. Congratulations to CIBO. They have found the perfect mix."

  • "unfortunately we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation. and our server was not very attentive. but the good was delicious and drinks were masterfully made. will try it again and hope they had an off night."

  • "I and my friends thoroughly enjoyed the brunch.Love the idea of stations and personal selections. Would like to see more of a seafood selection ie. smoked salmon ,shrimps, etc Loved the baby croissants with honey butter and of course your bread. Should maybe write a list of all pasta sauces that can be done.Would be nice to have a seafood sauce too. Your egg station was great as was your pasta station. The pizza was very good too. Your selection of cheeses and visual were enticing and was a wow factor.{loved the baby boconcini) I came with not very high expectations regarding the food and was pleasantly surprised. As were my friends. I believe you were a hit for brunch. Definitely a come back for all of us."

  • "My boyfriend and I made a note on Open Table that we were going to Cibo to celebrate our anniversary. When we ordered our dessert our server came out with a candle on our dessert and wished us a happy anniversary. This attention to detail is what makes restaurants stand out versus their competitors. Our server was prompt and friendly and allowed for us to take our time and enjoy our cocktails and food. The atmosphere was alive and postive. The food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend Cibo to anyone looking for a great meal and a night out."

  • "This was my third time at CIBO and each time seems better than the last. The menu is excellent, with a wide variety of Italian offering. I had the braised short ribs, which were fabulous (last time the veal chop...excellent). The wine list is exceptional. But I stuck with the incredible Matto Brorollo. Yum! Our servers have all been outstanding. Friendly, knowledgable and attentive without being in your face. I will be returning again and again..."

  • "It was my second visit - the first one was so much different… I met with an old friend, and the bread was hard, so I asked for a new one but it was cool … second cup of americana was bitter, first one was much better. the meatball appetizer was on the cool side as well. For not being busy, the temperature of the food was inexplicably on the cool side. Pizza was not great - Bar Italiano on Queens Quay knows how to make pizza. Check it out Liberty group…"

  • "We found your Restarant on-line. We were attending the Leaf game so wanted a good meal before the game. We loved your place and will most definitely go back. Great food, service, drinks, wine, and the ambience is amazing. Thank you...look forward too our next dinner."

  • "On the server's recommendation, we shared a platter of burrata and prosciutto. The quality of both was the best I've had in Toronto. Imagine prosciutto that is melt-in-your-mouth delicious and doesn't rely on salt for taste. That's the start of an excellent meal based on top quality ingredients. If you are looking for complex dishes, this isn't the place. But I would go back for the wonderful house-made pasta, great salads, top quality ingredients, and a creative set of cocktails complemented by a good wine list. And with that, the service was just excellent throughout the evening. This was a first visit, but we expect many more."

  • "The food was mediocre. I ordered pasta tagliatelle with pesto and pine nuts, but there were no pine nuts, or none I could find easily. The tomato sauce was not very tasty. Pasta seemed overcooked. No additional items added to the main dish. It came all piled up in the middle of my plate. Looked like something I would prepare!"

  • "I booked this spot well in advance for my sister's bachelorette brunch. I thought the menu looked unique and this place takes reservations for big groups - definitely a plus. The service was mediocre, and the food was okay, but the ambiance is quite nice. Overall, we weren't wowed whatsoever and I wouldn't go back."

  • "The service was very good from beginning to end. Informed server did a great job of looking after our table for 2. The steaks were wonderfully prepared and generally this was a very pleasant experience."

  • "I had made an online reservation for 2 for 9:30 PM. We got there 5 min late, we were well received, and our table was waiting for us. Food was awesome ! The sommelier helped us in choosing the perfect wine for or dish !!!! I will come back !"

  • "The food, both appetizers and mains, was incredibly salty. Almost inedible."

  • "First I love the space, it is a big place but is set up and designed well. In a great location on King West right in the heart of today's most happening area. Food was good enough to go back just not running but nothing to rave about and for the wine list it was ok. The Manager was friendly, professional and informed sadly one of the servers was not at all. We first were introduced to a friendly young lady and then when it was time to order we had this server witch had no time for questions about the menu. He was rude not helpful and worst of all banged every plate on the table and spilled wine twice. Bad experience because of one individual who shouldn't be in that industry."

  • "Second time returning at Cibo. Love the atmosphere, as it is romantic and a hot spot. Finally a place where everyone is dressed up!!!! The food is delicious. Tried the grilled calamari this time and the portion is big enough for two people. Loved the charcoal taste of it. We also had the trout and the steak, both of us were impressed at how well it was presented and most importantly tasted. A huge selection of wine. Must try if you have not yet."

  • "I have been to Cibo many times and never seems to fail, there service is awesome, people that work here are great, very friendly. Service is excellent. Food taste amazing. Exceptional wine list. Atmosphere is great, its different, not like your typical restaurant. I would recommend for people to go and give it a try."

  • "had the worst table ever, cold air was hitting us very time the door is opened, tried to change the place but the manger were very rude and u helpful, didnt care when we told them we wont be coming again, to them we were not important to them...... what a shame"

  • "Food outstanding. My only complaint (if you can call it that) would be that the staff will fill your wine glass after EVERY sip. Your bottle will disappear in a heartbeat."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "Decent food (it's not BUCA) - very courteous and attentive server. Unfortunately after the order was taken, the server essentially outsources the rest of the meal to other people - she stopped by once in a while but stuff came out of the kitchen on its own, and the servers often did not know who was getting what. Food was average."

  • "Lobster Tuesday is amazing! There are a few options of specials to choose from and the price is right for splurging on wine and delicious apps."

  • "I had requested a booth through the reservation at open table, and yet we were seated in the west room by the window. A lovely seat and was ok but felt that our request was ignored. It was a birthday celebration and would rather have been in a more private spot."

  • "Visited for a business lunch. Everyone had a hard time making a decision....everything looks so good. We were not disappointed from the shared appetizers to the crispy trout and paninis. There is something for everyone. It was a great lunch and our server was exceptional. Will definitely go back and have recommended to other business associates in the area."

  • "The ambiance and the mood of the restaurant is wonderful. The staff and greeting was great and very warm and friendly. The wait staff were knowledgable. We were with non-drinking couple and their choices of beverages were limited to the most ordinary soft drinks. In an Italian restaurant we would expect Italian soft drink choices. The meals were presented well, but mine was disappointing. The porcini tagliatelle was over cooked and ordinary. My wife's salmon was OK, but again, nothing memorable."

  • "Server did not know her wines and recommended something less than average. The bruschetta was awful with white bread (not even toasted) with flavourless chopped tomatoes on top. The pizza crust was soggy and the orschetta pasta was hard and bland. I thought I would give CIBO one more chance. Much better...Caesar salad was good, gnocchi was great. Only complaint I had again was the knowledge of the server about the wine. We narrowed down to two and she had no idea. Hit & miss!"

  • "Cibo is a great place to get together with friends for some appetizers and drinks. Ambience is amazing! But I was very disappointed with the main courses. Pizza was a 2 and the pasta was a. 1! Tasted like it was ojt of a can. Definitely not recommending this place for it's food!"

  • "Food and service are very good but what was a welcome difference to many King St. West places , is the ample room between tables .Yes , it is a large interior space , but the designers have done a masterful job of creating intimacy. Rather than sitting on your neighbour's lap ,which is often the case , Cibo actually separates diners so you don't have to be party to someone else's antics and conversation. What a relief . Imagine actually being able to hear what your table mates say without shouting and leaning in. And the ambience with exposed wood and soft lighting was a pleasant respite on a frigid winter night. Loved the basement art display. Nice touch. One final note , we never felt rushed . Other eateries take note ; Cibo does it right"

  • "Daily made fresh pasta was amazing. Arugula salad with portobello mushrooms was massive! Great to share as a starter. Also enjoyed the Margherita pizza to share. Really great bottle of italian Primivito from Puglia priced at $38 which is a great price for the quality of wine. Loved it!"

  • "There on a Monday night. Tried to make an open table reservation for 7:00 but could only get 6:45 or 7:15 which was a bit weird, especially as there were lots of table when we showed up. Anyway service was slow and not really very helpful. The food was good but not great. It was a fair sized wine list and so it took a whirl to choose one and after about 15 minutes the waitress told us they were out of that bottle, no help in recommending an alternate. All these are little things but with so many other great places nearby I won't be hurrying back."
