  • "Booked Ciao Thyme for my husband and some buddies for his fortieth birthday - they went above and beyond to make it special. They even offered to make a custom cake just for them! The guys said the food was delicious and the service was very good - they had a great time! We'll definitely be returning and recommending it to our friends and family as well! Thanks Ciao Thyme!"

  • "We ordered the catch of the day. The fish arrived with a strong odor. It tasted stronger than it smelled and was inedible. We told our waiter this. He didn't really comment and left the item on our bill. So not only did we get bad fish, we had to pay for it, too. If fish is potentially bad, why would you want a customer to eat it? I would not dine here again because of the quality of the food (don't get the duck) and because of the customer service."

  • "The description of the food at Ciao Thyme was inviting however the four adults in our party found the food (we ordered four separate appetizers and entrees) was overall bland. Some of the ideas behind the dishes were innovative but nothing stood out. My gastrique was runny. Vegetables and proteins were underseasoned. Service was good; friendly and attentive and welcoming. Our server was very attentive to the kids at the table. The decor was sparse, something I would expect at a luncheonette. We were disappointed."

  • "we loved all of our main courses....elk (med rare) and cod (perfect). the wine list was tight with well chosen wines. the waiter was great although overworked. they didn't think it was going to be busy and only had one. still, he performed admirably. it's a local's dream, and we aren't locals."

  • "It's a small cozy bistro so I was glad I made a dinner reservation. The food was excellent! Mushroom risotto was so good, and the elk steak was tender and delicious. the atmosphere was lovely and the service was great. I will definitely be back."

  • "Ciao Time is under new ownership and appears to be struggling to get things right. We found the wine list by the glass to be very limited and they were out of some of those. The server didn't seen seem familiar with the menu or the wines. The entrée I ordered also was not available. We waited one half hour before receiving our salad appetizers and our entrees added another 40 minutes. The loss of La Rua and Monk's along with this replacement of Chef Bernard leaves the Upper Village with few good dining options."
