Great meal on a cold, Indiana night. My past with several kinds of fish including shrimp/scallops/& mussels was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Very generous portions and I had lunch the next day!

We have gone there many times the food is good but this time the service was horrible, we arrived for our reservation and were seated the waiter started to wait on us with drinks and then he disappeared to another table that came in way after we arrived but they seemed to know them. We didn't see much of him after that we had to try to flag him down to get anything and sometime he just rushed by us and didn't seem to want to hear us . The table that came in at least a half hour of so were out of there before us . It was very disappointing and frustrating our bill was well over 100 dollars and the service simple said stunk

Ciao by Villagio on Main Street in Zionsville never disappoints!!! Recent visit found fabulous food, tasty drinks, and such a friendly, informative staff! Calamari was light and airy and seafood entrees, the salmon special, and pasta with sausage in light cream sauce all were appreciated immensely. We've been patrons for many years and will return again soon!

My husband and I have an infant at home, so we were looking for a nice restaurant to get away for a couple of hours and enjoy each other's company. The wait staff did not rush us or impede too much during our dinner; it was a relaxing environment with a romantic ambiance.

This was our first time back at Cioa in a couple of years. Ciao is very nice inside, friendly, and the service was really excellent. The food was OK, but not amazing. The caprese salad was a little strange- very cold (refrigerated?) and instead of simply olive oil, balsamic vinegar, basil, salt and pepper it had some kind of strange dressing between the tomatoes and cheese. OK, but, not amazing. Both entrees were OK (shrimp and a pasta dish with pancetta). The shrimp was cooked nicely and the pasta tasty enough. Service was the star!

Everything about our experience was excellent except for our server, while the service was good, we could not slow her down and felt very rushed. I explained that we were in NO hurry but that didn't seem to help. My wife and I choose restaurants for the whole dining experience; food, cocktails, wine and conversation. We will definitely return but hope for a more leisurely dinner next time.

This restaurant was a nice new place for Zionsville, and the food was definitely better than expected. The ambiance was good in the room with the fireplace, but in the other room left a little to be desired. The service was good.

I'm astonished by the 4-5 stars other people have given this restaurant. They must either work at the restaurant, or not get out much. On their best day, this might get 3 stars, max. We started with the Caprese salad, and out came 4 small tomato slices with a hunk of mozzarella on each slice, and a small (very small) topping of basil on each. This was presented on a large white dinner plate with nothing else on it. No balsamic dressing swirls or basil leaves, or anything to spice up the presentation. Just 4 lumps of tomato/mozzarella. For an "Italian" restaurant, they should be embarrassed. Food tasted like Chef Boyardee. The wines by the glass were the smallest I have ever had as well. Not going back anytime soon.

Very good selection of dishes - the 4 of us had all different. Server Emma was great and took care of us very well. All food was prepared superbly. Disserts were too large - needed a warning to consider splitting, but "take home" box made for snack next day.

Our service was outstanding and the food was excellent. The bread served with the dipping oil was very good and one could easily fill up on that alone. Tim, our server, is knowledgeable in detail about each dish. We could not decide upon an appetizer and allowed Tim to choose for us. It was outstanding. Again for dinner, I was undecided and I was pleased with the selection he made for me. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was lovely. It's a bit on the pricey side but for a special occasion, it is well worth it. I texted some friends that night and said we would have to get a group together to come and enjoy the variety of dishes. We would highly recommend Ciao by Villagio.

The food was above average in quality, but not worth the fantastic food price in my opinion. The wine list seemed nice, but since I was unable to drink that day, I didn't give it a thorough examination. two appetizers, two entree's, two deserts, with two iced teas, the bill came to $85. So, if that is a reasonable amount to you for good food, I would recommend Ciao By Villagio. If that is a bit steep for your taste, there are plenty of other places that will satisfy your inner foodie for a little less.

Our server was very nice but did a poor job. Did not seem prepared or knowledgeable. Did not the soup of the day. Forgot to bring butter, wine took too long, constantly having to be reminded. And it was not very busy which made it more puzzling. Wine list could before robust. On the other hand food was very good from a taste perspective.

The food, drinks, and service at Ciao were all top rate. Their lasagna was delicious with a wonderful Bechemal creaminess. A large party of 8 sat near us during our meal and I noticed that 4 of the group also ordered the lasagna...great choice. The calamari starter, house & caesar salads were also very good....and, my wife enjoyed her manicotti entree. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. We have been to Ciao several times and have always had a very nice experience. Will definitely return!

We love dining at Ciao. The food and service are consistently excellent. We love dining outdoors in the summer. Although they don't have a separate kids' menu, my kids LOVE eating here. You can order half portions of most entrees, and that works well for us. Plus the servers and staff are great with kids. When we don't have our kids with us, we love eating in the bar area. I can't recommend Ciao highly enough.

Ciao was a real disappointment. We had been to this restaurant before its "makeover." It was much better before than after. The food was not very good. My wife and I agreed that Ciao was trying to be too complicated in its menu. We suggest that Ciao go back to the basics of Italian food. Service was ok, but slow. The restaurant was almost empty, but a table across the room had a loud and constant talker, which was not the restaurant's fault, but the noice level was much higher than was comfortable.
