  • "Great atmosphere for business dinners. Great ambiance, excellent food, great service!"

  • "This is by far one of my favorite restaraunts in the city. The food is always delicious and the bread is to die for. The ambience is quite romantic in the bar area but a little more lit up in the dining room. I would say that this place is somewhere to take your in laws-- not your children. "

  • "We celebrated my husband's birthday at Cia Bella (his request for Italian food). We had an early reservation on a Monday evening and when we arrived the main room was very crowded and noisy with people still pouring in. Luckily we were seated in a peripheral room which was more quiet and we could actually hear our conversation! My husband enjoyed a dinner salad and pasta with sausage, I had a caesar salad and the ravioli which was yummy. We also shared a sausage, cheese and olive plate for an appetizer. Our server seemed rushed, but was attentive with good suggestions for our meals. It was an expensive meal probably due to the 2 bottles of wine!"

  • "Main objection was right in the heart of the lunch hour the noise level was so high we could not hear each other across our table. as people cleard out it got better. Next time I will come after the lunch crowd - or the dinner crowd - I would come early when the place not so full. I am very sensitive to noise level. thanks."

  • "I have been to this restaurant many times over the years (twice a year or so) - this is the first time I have been disappointed in the service and the food. I had the BLT salad - it was lacking in the amounts of bacon and tomato - so basically all lettuce. The service also left me feeling like I was not important enough to give attention to. I asked for more bread 2X - it never came. I mentioned this to the server and she apologized but said it must have gone to another table - she did not seem very sincere. I hope this is an aberration and not how this restaurant operates these days."

  • "Dinner for three on Friday at 6pm was predictable and reliable. Walleye shore style and broiled were well prepared, as was the seafood linguini. Service was very good. Noise levels increase as the seats are filled. We will come again."

  • "Too expensive for quality and amount. They could not make several cocktails requested. Limited beer choices. Will not go again."

  • "We last visited Ciao Bella about 10 years ago. The food was good, but it was so noisy it was difficult to have a conversation. Fast forward to now. When I made our reservation, I asked for a quieter area if possible. We were seated just outside the main dining area. There was an entire wall of windows, the tables were smaller and more intimate, and THE FOOD WAS TO DIE FOR!!!!! We had a great time and will be back again soon."

  • "Ciao Bella is one of our favorites for so many reasons. The food is amazing, service is always wonderful and the ambiance is beautiful. Can't wait for the outdoor patio to open. This place is a gem!"

  • "A friend and I chose to have supper at Ciao Bella. From the time we arrived, we both noticed that the noise level was rather higher than we remembered. We had a knowledgeable server, and were well taken care of all evening. We especially enjoyed the appetizer and salads, and we both ordered pasta, which was also excellent. Our drinks were very good, and added to the festivity of the evening. I am sure we will both return."

  • "They carry quality wine by glass or bottle; the service was excellent by the staff, the waiter was very knowledgeable of the entrees' ingredients and preparations; food presentation was all for the eyes and its taste was all for the buds. We tried their sea bass; it was well prepared and uniquely paired with wasabi mashed potatoes and thai chili sauce. We will definitely go back for special occasions; the interior of the restaurant is elegant, the atmosphere is friendly, the service is professional."

  • "The noise level was energetic especially near the bar during happy hour, but this was perfect for me as I brought my 2 year old. The food was fantastic, everyone at the table was very pleased with their meal. My daughter particularly loved the brussel sprouts. The thing that impressed me the most was the quality of the food for the price. It was the best food for the money we've had in the greater Minneapolis area."

  • "My husband and I had our 6th anniversary dinner here. We had an amazing serve who explained everything beautifully and if we had any question he knew the dish. He recommended a few items that we ordered and he was spot on. Food was A M A Z I N G! Crab cakes were so packed full of crab and the Truffle Aioli...outstanding! For dinner we my husband had pizza and I had the Cream Corn Halibut that was a special the that evening ALL the food was so amazing. We are already talking about what we are going to have the next visit. KUDOS to you Ciao Bella for the perfect evening. We will be back"

  • "This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. It was recommended by a hotel employee as a high end restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service stellar! The pricing was quite reasonable."

  • "A business associate from Chicago and I had a late lunch - .we both ordered the walleye Milanese and it was excellent in flavor. I normally would have opted for a lighter coating - and perhaps this one was a little thick - but it was crunchy and tasty and not all greasy. The fish had that nice sweet taste that fresh and properly cooked walleye has. I am particular, having grown up with fresh from the lake to the pan fillets. We did not have wine this time but the options were good. Service was excellent. Our lunch was at 1:30 and so the crowd had thinned, making the noise level much better than it sometimes can be."

  • "Nice menu, food was good to great. No complaints on food or service. Noise level is very high. It was difficult to conduct private conversation. Otherwise a very nice place I recommend strongly."

  • "I chose Ciao Bella after I booked a reservation for a small work group about a month ago, and we were set up in a private little area where we could stand up and walk around and mingle with the others in the group. That setting was perfect so we didn't have to be sitting around trying to mingle which would've been hard to do. That little section they provided us was perfect for our "mingling" situation. Due to the great experience I had with the service and staff working with us and providing exceptional service, I made reservations to dine with another couple from work, and knew the ambiance was going to be amazing. It was! The servers are professional and allowed us the time to just sit and talk and didn't rush us to get our order!"

  • "The service is friendly and prompt and the food is good. It is popular during the week for lunch with the work crowd so it's good to make reservations. It's nice to have a restaurant of that caliber in that area. And it's been around for many years which is an accomplishment in the fickle restaurant business!"

  • "Our particular waiter wasn't the best, but the food was good. I had the special of Sea Bass over noodles. My friend had lobster risotto. They were both good. Bartender didn't get our drinks right, but we think it was a waiter problem more than a bartender problem. We'd go back."

  • "My Norwegian friends and I started with the beef tenderloin crostini and caramelized Brussels sprouts. Tasty dipping sauces for the beef - St Pete's blue cheese dressing was our favorite. We all then went for seafood entrees - the sea bass special, the salmon special, and the walleye Milanese - and sampled each other's plate. Wonderfully prepared all around - and just the right portions to feel satisfied at the last bite rather than the third. We chose the Kris Pinot Grigio for pairing which proved to be a great partner. We wrapped the night up with a gelato sampler and nodded in unison - a lovely night with great food and great friends!"

  • "We make it to Minneapolis only a few times a year, so have to choose wisely where we will have dinner. This particular trip we decided to try Ciao Bella and are glad we did. The food was excellent...from the Tuscan Kale salad and the Butternut Squash Ravioli I had to the Ciao Baby salad and the seafood-packed Linguini my husband chose. Nice wine, wonderful waiter...a pleasant experience we look forward to replicating on a future visit."

  • "Ciao Bella gets EXTREMELY busy during the lunch hour, so make a reservation. Although it gets busy, the staff is prepared and they operate efficiently and professionally. I am always impressed with the staff's attentiveness, the accuracy of our order(s) and the quality of the food. An excellent restaurant and great staff. Highly recommended!"

  • "The food at Ciao Bella is good overall. I enjoyed my pasta dish, especially. The bread was cold. It would be much better warm. I was disappointed in such a limited selection of red wines by the glass. However, the prices are too high for their portion sizes. My small plate for $13 was an appetizer size. It should either cost less or be increased 25% in size. The two women hosts were discourteous and dismissive. They seated three parties ahead of us and put us at a table by the kitchen, clearly your worst table."

  • "I brought two friends for dinner at Ciao Bella who had never been there before, and they were very impressed. The menu offered so many excellent choices, and our server was very pleasant and efficient. We were seated immediately (this does not always happen at other places, even with a reservation!), and there was plenty of time to review the menu before we ordered. We selected two appetizers to enjoy with our drinks, and then we each had salads an entrée, and deserts. The house-baked bread was excellent. I am sure we will be returning before long."

  • "In an office park area, so I was a little surprised to find an original-looking interior. Grilled tuna was excellent; server and chef accomodated my eccentric preferences. Points of note included the ceiling paintwork and the hearth oven (which was issuing artisan bread and pizza steadily during my visit)."
