  • "The Easter brunch overpriced and underdelivered. In essence, the Easter brunch was not much different from regular Sunday brunch. Veg and entrees average. Dessert, eggs, meat station were great and compensated somewhat. The Easter experience was so busy that it was unpleasant. Nothing can be done about that, though. Waiters were fantastic."

  • "The brunch closes at 3:00 and our reservations were at 2:30. We were seated right away. We noted that the brunch was missing several item - like plantains - and a seafood dish. What's Brazilian food without plantains? One of our guests had the bottomless Mimosas but it appears that you have to stand on the table and dance a rumba to even get a second Mimosa. Churrascos remains one of my favorites but I will avoid the Sunday brunch. "

  • "I love getting the trio for lunch; it's a great value, especially with the soups being as delicious as they typically are and not to mention that it comes with the option to choose between tres leches or flan for dessert (the 3 leches is, in my opinion, the best in town). I always recommend the Churrasco (signature steak) for first timers...they do offer a 6 oz version which is always a nice, healthy portion but be careful with their platain chips as they can be very addictive. Waiters are very friendly and professional but sometimes a bit forgetful. I have taken my picky two year-old and he ate up everything."

  • "Group of 7 for birthday dinner. It was a slow night, quiet. Staff was nice but could have been a little more attentive considering how slow it was. Food is amazing though. Appetizers to entrees to the kids meal my daughter ordered. Drinks are good and strong as well. Definitely a good place if you want a calm and quiet atmosphere and amazing food and drinks. Would love to come on a date."

  • "You might want to talk to your Monday night hostess. We arrived at the restaurant and was never greeted. She never said hello or welcome. Just looked at us. Gave her our reservation name. She grabbed two menus and started walking. We, of course, followed. We sat down at what I can only assume was our table. She never once spoke or smiled. Not a great way to welcome your guests."

My date enjoyed her shrimp as well! And, the drinks were pricey, but all we needed were one a piece.. so, not complaining. Thanks for making it a special night for me and my Sweetie!"

  • "In the early 1990s, Churroscos was (like Americas), always wonderful. Attentive service, outstanding food, and a menu that offered a frequently changing variety of interesting South American fare. Recently the menu has shrunk dramatically. That's disappointing enough, but now the service has disappeared. This last visit began in a sweltering side room. After moving, we ordered appetizers, which we had finished for at least 20 min before the waiter returned to take our main order. Supposedly the "system" was down. Another hour later, our food arrived, cooked properly, but fairly cool. Deserts cost us another half hour delay. In all, dinner took over 3 hrs, from 7:30 till 10:45. Sad to see this place fall so far. It was our favorite."

  • "Waiter was attentive although he did not seem to fully understand how the Valentines Day menu worked with the wine pairings. We got same wine with the main course that was served with the appetizer. And that was only after we insisted that we were entitled to a second glass of wine as part of the package. Food was not so great. Steaks first time around were way overcooked. Can't recommend restaurant because I truly think it is one of the poorest values in Houston. My dates favorite thing was the plantain chips that come as a complimentary addition."

  • "We have been to Churrasco's previously, but tonight was one of their better performances. The food was outstanding, and even their signature Latin-style steak was better than I remember. Others in the party had the lobster, which they said was so delicious they did not even need to add any sauce to it. Our server, Doug, was excellent - attentive without being overbearing and made us feel at home. A great night all around."

  • "I've only been at this location a time or two. My usual choice is the location at River Oaks. I also had never been on Valentines Day, and I never will again. The whole experience was a bust. Even though I made reservations well in advance, I waited 30 mins. Before being seated. The place was really full, though. I didn't care for the "special" menu. I ordered the steak, which in my opinion is a very safe pick. It was tough. Bad night all the way around. Fortunately for me, my wife is a pretty low maintenance gal. I will dine at Churrascos again, but certainly not on Valentines Day, and I'll probably stick with the River Oaks location as well."

  • "I couldn't understand how horrible my experience was my first time here. It was my first Valentine's day dinner with my girlfriend that was suppose to be great. It started with our reservation. Our reservations were at 7:15 pm. We arrived at 6:50 pm, checked in with the hostess and was told they would call our table as soon as one was available. People were arriving after us and were getting sat before us which upset me. I complained and was told they lost my name after checking in. We sat down at 7:50pm. Why make reservations??? No waiter came by until I had enough. We waited at our table for more than 25 minutes without even a drink order. I ordered the "12 oz steak", what a joke. It was a piece of over salted fajita."

  • "i chose to take my hubby here for valentines day and i wish i had stayed at home. i had a reservation for 930 and we weren't seated until 1030. i realize that they most likely overbooked but geez. the waiter that sat us did not come back to the table until the checks were requested by two other individuals. he did not check on us nor did he make sure that we were satisfied. the only good moment of the evening was when John Rambo (yes, that's right) made our drinks and personally came by our table. if nothing else, id say skip the dining experience and head to the bar with John. It was not worth the time it took to be seated nor was the food as good as i hoped...and the price was astronomical. next year i will just make him dinner."

We expected a set menu, but several courses arrived early and were left on the very small table as we were told "we'll leave these here so it's ready for you when you're done with [what we were eating]." They provided a wine list, and didn't have many of the listed wines - we were on our third choice. I asked for change for the valet with the bill, and our waiter asked me to get the change from the valet myself since they had more change than he did. My date, who was enjoying her dessert, had to fend off five attempts to take the plate away. We had a reservation, and still had a 20 minute wait. The churrascos were good, but there were simply too many problems. $200, and we couldn't wait to leave."

The location of our table was perfect and allowed us to catch up with everyone standing up for a little while until we sat down to eat. The staff was wonderful. Food was delivered promptly, particularly considering we had a large group. People from my company often meet here for lunch or dinner - it's one of our favorites, especially when we have out of town guests, because the food is excellent and unique."

  • "The steak was lukewarm; the fish portion was very small - more potatoes than meat. Vegetable medley was a joke. A glass of wine is NOT a glass wine; it's more like a 1/4 of a glass. We've been a regular customer for over 20 years. This was not a good experience. All in all - my bill for two people was over $150!!!!!"

  • ""Get them Dukes!" Churrascos is an excellent steakhouse that consistently turns out a great product with great service in a very nice atmosphere. They do all of this without being fussy. My dining companion & I both got their signature steak. Always amazes me how tender & tasty it is. In any case, you really can't go wrong here because the steaks automatically come with delicious side dishes. You can ask for more of them - no charge. Highly recommended."

  • "I went here for lunch and got the lunch special which included soup, entree, dessert and cappuccino. The meal was great and the price was good. I will definitely be back. The one disappointing thing was the heavy sticker price on the flavored ice tea to the tune of $5. Overall the experience was still very satisfying."

  • "I am a total steak lover, and the Churrasco is one of the best steaks I have ever had. Comparable to Kobe grade beef and not quite as expensive. Available in small to large portion sizes (8, 10, 12, and 16 ounces) you can order a size that satisfies and leaves plenty of room for all their other outstanding side dishes. Like the Chiles & Cebollas, or the Empanadas. I have been enjoying this restaurant for years, and the quality of food and service is always consistently outstanding. I like to eat in the bar area and Eusebio (Rambo) is an excellent bartender / waiter! He knows how to make the best Pisco Sour in town, and provides excellent customer service on every occasion. If you haven't been here, you must try it, you won't be disappointed"
