Diner Reviews
  • "My husband and I find Churrascos a true dining delight! We spend many "special occasions" with each other, with family members, friends and business acquaintances from out of town and have never been disappointed. We are already looking forward to our next visit!"

  • "My gals and i had a good time, enjoyed the room we were in and we were able to have fun, without bothering other people. Appreciated the service."

  • "Good variety of foods were presented. Very fresh and flavorable. The wait staff were very accomadating and quiet. I would definitely recommend Churrascos and do plan on going again."

  • "watch your bill of you have kids. This is our third visit with both our kids who are under 4 and we are charged every time even though kids are supposed to be free. The other locations do not do this. Only this location Food is good. We went to this location because couldn't get a reservation at the others."

  • "Dined here for a Father's Day brunch. Had a reservation for 1:30 pm. Arrived at exactly 1:30, checked in and was told promptly that that our table would be ready shortly. The receiving area was extremely crowded with people standing shoulder to shoulder. (Suspect that the crowding was, at least partly, due to walk-ins) Exactly 20 minutes later our name was called to be seated. The food was fabulous and the service excellent. Despite the crowds and the wait, I would definitely go again."

  • "We went for brunch on Father's Day, and while it was crowded, the service and food were outstanding. We just moved back to Houston and find Churrasco's is just as good now (better) than when they first opened in Southwest Houston, so many years ago."

  • "We took mt 93 year old father for Father's Day brunch. He uses a walker, the hostess seated us at a table nearest the serving tables to minimize his walking - very considerate. The food was delicious, my wife and I love the house salad with the cilantro dressing. There was a great selection of wonderful food, we will go back."

  • "My family of 3 checked in on time for 11:30 am reservations. We were told we'd be seated in "just a few moments." We waited directly next to the hostess stand. About 20 minutes later, the lead hostess sat a family of 3 that came in after us with NO RESERVATION. We know this because again we were standing directly next to the hostess stand and when this family checked in they were told that the patio was available otherwise it'd be a 30 min wait. When we confronted the hostess, she lied and said that they were on the list. We then proceeded to repeat exactly what she told them back to her. She never apologized. It was a very deliberate slight to us. We were then seated immediately. It was not a great way to start Father's Day."

  • "I always come here and the food is GREAT, the service is usually exceptional but I had a dud of a waiter this go around."

  • "My husband and I had gone to several of their wine dinners in the past and also for our anniversary last year. However this time we were very disappointed. The appetizer we so enjoyed last time, plantain encrusted seafood, was no longer offered so we tried scallops with beet root and ceviche. The ceviche had very little seafood and the scallops (4) were barely medium size and they seem to use the shells, beet root and cream to fill in the plate. My fish with beurre blanc had very little sauce on it and my husband's roasted seafood plate had very small portions as well except for the big, empty lobster shell. The tres leches was very small also. The prices had increased and we did not feel we got good value for the money we paid."

  • "This is extremely hard to write. Since the Westchase location opened it has been my wife's and my favorite Houston restaurant. I can't count how many anniversaries, birthdays, business celebrations, etc that we have eaten and taken people to eat here. After the Memorial City location opened, we were disappointed, now this location has done the same. The meal is no longer the outstanding meals they were before, smaller, yet more expensive. The always great large side plate that accompanied every meal is gone and replaced with a tiny plate that has nothing good on it but the yucca bites. My pork (my favorite meal) was brought out burnt to a crisp and obvious before it was ever placed in front of me. Need new management all around."

  • "Perfect. The food was succulent. The sangria was just right. The service was outstanding. I would recommend it to friends and family. I cannot wait until my next visit!"

  • "Food was good as always and timely served. Good place for lunch setting, a little loud as it gets crowded, but you can still hold a conversation with your table without yelling. The best Tres Leches! Keeps me coming back for a bite."

  • "We celebrated our daughters high school graduation Friday night. It tossed one of her favorite restaurants and she chose it for her special family celebration. Always great!!"

  • "Absolutely loved going here for brunch. The buffet has so much to choose from and their omelettes and crapes are the best! Very kid friendly!"

  • "Service was terrible for the price of the dinner. The service was terrible. We had a party of 10 for dinner...not an inexpensive meals... and the service was terrible. Didn't have silverware and had to ask numerous times for it. Didn't get water and had to ask several times for it. Didn't get a kid's menu and had to ask several times for it. It is as if the "set-up" server just forgot about our table! Not good!"

  • "We lived in Houston for over 40 years before moving to Lake Livingston, and were always on the lookout for a good Sunday Brunch place. Once we found Churrasco's (we had dined there many times, but weren't aware of their Sunday Brunch), we needn't look any further. Last week we drove the 90 miles from Livingston for the sole purpose of brunch at Churrasco's Westchase, and it was well worth the drive. From custom made omelets, to steak with their famous chimichurri sauce to their iconic tres leches, the brunch offerings were a plethora of mouth-watering treats. One of our favorite places with consistently good food and service, and reasonably priced too."

  • "It is a tradition with my group of about 12 people to dine here at least once a quarter. We've been asked to get a different location and the response is "find a better place" with the ambience, great food and price and we will try it. We continue to return here for several years. "

  • "Paid 350 dollars for cold steak brunch. Completely not acceptable."

  • "We took a later reservation (4:15), because we all had favorites from the menu and wanted to avoid the Brunch. I looked at the website a couple of time to see if there were any specials and found none. When we arrived we were told Brunch was all day. It was a good opportunity to sample your menu. The Brunch did have a wide variety. Unfortunately I didn't get to sample the beef, it was at what I thought was an omelet table and I wasn't wanting breakfast."

  • "We went on Mother's Day so I was expecting a crowd. However, the location of the buffet made it difficult to serve yourself."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "I have eaten at Churrascos before and was very excited to go for Mothers Day but was far from disappointed. The restaurant was over crowed, loud and it was very difficult to move around in buffet area. The food was moderate quality and we will not return for brunch. "
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "My wife and I were expecting a lot more for the price of the Mother's Day brunch, but will the large crowds and the tight seating, we figured our expectations may have been too much. The food was good, not great, but a good effort to include variety. "

  • "What a great place to brunch on Mother's Day. The food was excelent the service was amazing. There was something for everyone on the buffet. Never once did we feel rushed to vacate our table for the next round of guests. We will return soon!"

  • "I've been to Churrascos for dinner before and selected their brunch for an extended family outing on Mother's Day. I selected Churrascos because my in-laws spent several years in Panama, they enjoy South American cuisine and they don't have much opportunity to get this type of food up north. Boy was this the right choice! Everyone in our party simply said, "Wow!" when they saw and experienced the large variety of food items. No one was disappointed or left wanting in any capacity. Simply delightful experience all the way around ... food, service, atmosphere. We'll be back on a regular basis, not just for special occasions!"

  • "Mother's Day Not So Special. Brunch was OK, Not worth the Price paid. Service seemed non existent once we received our initial drink order."

  • "Churrascos Westchase has a quiet, but vibrant ambience. The food is always excellent, and the service is attentive, but unobtrusive. We often come here for a romantic evening out, and are always impressed with the consistent high quality of the cocktails and the menu items. We hosted a dinner for 14 here last weekend, and were equally impressed with the service for a large group. Thank you, Churrascos!"

  • "Romantic in a corner but kid friendly in a private room. We have had Christmas parties here and have always been pleased. The only down side are the prices, they have really gone up. Our dinner was about $100 per person and only half the people drank adult beverages. "

  • "Churascos sent me a birthday gift certificate which we used to great advantage. Special surprise was complimentary tres leches birthday cake (best in town). We will return"

  • "We eat at Churrascos often and it never disappoints. Our favorites are the Churrasco steak, pargo de lujo and ceviche. This time I discovered that their ritas are excellent as well, oh-oh. Hope they get crab fingers back soon!"

  • "The brunch closes at 3:00 and our reservations were at 2:30. We were seated right away. We noted that the brunch was missing several item - like plantains - and a seafood dish. What's Brazilian food without plantains? One of our guests had the bottomless Mimosas but it appears that you have to stand on the table and dance a rumba to even get a second Mimosa. Churrascos remains one of my favorites but I will avoid the Sunday brunch. "

  • "I always enjoy Churrasco's Sunday brunch buffet with it's wide variety of food to choose from such as seafood gumbo, whole roasted pig, prime rib, and their made to order omelet or crepe stations, just to name a few. The food is delicious & the service is always friendly. Also for an extra $12 you can get endless mimosas, mojitos, margaritas & bloody Marys added to your meal. I'd also recommend going on a regular Sunday and not a holiday such as Easter or Mother's Day because the place gets so packed and chaotic that you don't really get to enjoy the experience."
    Dined on 4/20/2014
  • "The Easter brunch overpriced and underdelivered. In essence, the Easter brunch was not much different from regular Sunday brunch. Veg and entrees average. Dessert, eggs, meat station were great and compensated somewhat. The Easter experience was so busy that it was unpleasant. Nothing can be done about that, though. Waiters were fantastic."
    Dined on 4/20/2014
  • "Easter Brunch was the worst experience we have ever endured at Churrascos. Expensive, unpleasant and regrettable. IT WAS NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR AGGRAVATION! The sangria prices were were nearly doubled! The Senior Brunch was upped $20.00 per couple! The noise level was near mob riot and the crowd behaved like sharks in a feeding frenzy. The prices were raised to cover 'extra items' that, in our view, consisted of only a prime rib roast in place of the usual pig. Management made no visible effort to control the crowd's rude behavior. Restrooms and the exit were blocked by idiots who would not move. Management did nothing. We're done and so are our recommendations."
