"Church and Main is a great restaurant. Food, service and general ambiance were all well above average. The only problem is: so were the prices. Don't get me wrong, I think a great meal commands its own price, but I felt it was just a little too rich for the presentation and food we received.
Calamari: was tasty, but a bit dry. Sweet and tangy sauce covered that up, but it was a little too "TGIFridays" for my liking.
Raw bar sampler was awesome, GET IT!!
Main courses (Salmon and tenderloin were very good, portions were a little small, though.
Profiteroles were good, not great.
I would recommend Church and Main, just be aware of higher than normal pricing for the area."

"The food is quite good, but perhaps not fully realized in execution. The reason to dine here and dine here again is the really good vibe. The staff, decor and wine list are all just what you want in a dining spot - smart, generous, and fun. The menu is loaded with responsible sourcing and imagination that I really value these days. I plan on working my way through the dinner menu. Special appreciation for the olive oil and Rosemary cake -- some people love it others don't (so I hear from the staff); you gotta try it though so you know where you fall. It's GREAT."

"Had purchased a Chef's Tasting on Deal Chicken, thought that might mean we would get less options for food, but did not, had full choice of the menu. Food was fantastic!! Had the salon, was delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was great!! Will be back SOON!!"

"The food itself was good, but not worth what you end up paying for.
Ordered a seafood dish, received perhaps 3/4 cup of seafood total and two cups of sauce, and cost over 25$. Did not leave feeling satisfied."

"Ned has done a wonderful job with this place; Burlington was somewhat lacking in a more contemporary dining experience - everything from food and wine options to plating choices - and Church & Main has filled this niche nicely. With a contemporary spin on "classic" dishes such as calamari and frog legs, Church & Main isn't limited to a specific regional cuisine, precluding a stereotypical or kitsch dining experience. Great meal, pricey but well worth every penny. Even our server was charming, perfectly engaged and efficient."

"My girlfriend and I have been there twice, the week it opened and again about 6 months later. The first time I had the stuffed pork chop which was dry, the second time the salmon which was absolutely outstanding. The bar area is great for people watching and the dining area is well separated and gives off a cool cosmopolitan vibe."

"They need a better menu writer. We read the menu and weren't that excited, but the food itself was very good. They also need more variety on the menu: lamb, duck, pork, vegetarian dish. I felt like we were choosing between steak, chicken, and white fish. Our dining experience was good overall, but there was a large crowd at the bar right when we walked in and we couldn't get back to the host stand (which is awkwardly positioned at the back of the bar). There was hardly anyone in the dining room, but it still felt crowded because the aisles are narrow. I'm a skinny person, but always felt like I was trying to skooch in toward the table because there were so many service staff walking behind me to serve the table behind us. Food was great."
