  • "The place is alright. It has a limited selection of smoked products and they were out of brisket. My husband and I both got the sampler platter. The quarter smoked chicken was tasty but fatty. The ribs were ok. The pulled pork was pretty good. The Mac and cheese was very bland. There were different sauces listed on the menu and I had to request to sample them before making my order. In other places the sauces are all on the table for sampling with chips before ordering. It was alright but not in a rush to go back."

  • "We have eaten at both chucks many times. We have always enjoyed what we have ordered. Today was the exception. My son ordered the Jambalaya w/ blackened chicken - 1st time. The flavor was ok, the chicken was not blackened, tasted like poached. Not great. A lot of seasoned rice, the smoked ham and andouille sausage seemed scarce. I ordered the special, Mexican Pot roast. The potatoes tasted cheesey. The meat was shredded - which I was not expecting as it doesn't say that in the description. I was looking forward to the roasted veggies, not a mirepoix! Very disappointing. Not very satisfied with this meal today. Thanks for listening..."

We had reservations and were seated immediately by friendly staff. The server was excellent - came over right away, suggested some beers from an extensive beer list, told us about specials, super personality. Placed our order. Food came very quickly. Here's were I would reconsider my menu selection next time. Pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, coleslaw was worth the trip. Very delicious. Not the same for the rib tips (very fatty) and Conchinita Pibil (for a "special" it was bland and mushy). Will come again, but will stick to the BBQ."

  • "I live out of state and come to IL to visit family in the area. We had a sibling reunion and met there for breakfast on Sunday before heading home. We had a wonderful time. Staff was very friendly and service was great. Food was excellent. My best friend recommended Chuck's at our last visit so I knew how great the food was. This will always be our departing place to meet for our group to sit and eat and visit before heading out of state."

  • "We liked Chuck's a lot. Group of 5 60i'sh folks had plenty to select from. Cheese Quesadilla and rib tip apps were tasty and plenty for a group of 5. The cup of gumbo was wonderful. Wish I had ordered bowl. Burger and filet were well received. Jambalaya was loaded with shrimp and salmon special was a delight. Rib/brisket combo was above average. We liked the variety on a menu almost to big to appreciate. Have to go back to try other things that sounded great."

  • "We met friends for beignets on July 5. restaurant was not crowded we sAt outside. There was one waitress and it took forever to get coffee. Then we ordered breakfast and that took forever. We had no spoons for our coffee, had to ask for sugar for our coffees, had to ask for refills. Just waited a long time for everything. It was a holiday weekend but it was not crowded at all."

We love Chuck's! On Saturday's, I don't even want a menu. The cochinita pibil with extra pickled onions is something really special. From down-home BBQ to fancy foodie Creole and Mexican (served in a casual, approachable way...) it's crazy awesome."

  • "My wife and I used to frequently visit the Chuck's in Burbank, but have moved much further away. The new location is much closer now and also much easier to park at. They have a very extensive beer list for those craft drinkers. The ribs are amazing! I always get the jambalaya when I go though. Very reasonably priced food. Although it is a sports bar scene it is child friendly. Great place to watch the Bears and Blackhawks!!"

  • "Went there with a group of 10 women after work. We never know exactly how many people we'll have, and they come in and leave at different times. The waitress was the most accommodating of all the places we've been--kept bringing drinks until we were finally ready to order, quick to show up when someone new joined the group. She had no problem doing separate checks for us. The food was great--nice variety on the menu. We'll go back with this group, and I want to bring my family--they'll enjoy this place."

  • "I didn't realize that they would open their banquet rooms to host the Mother's Day Brunch buffet. We were seated in the restaurant which although was on the other side of the building from the buffet it wasn't a problem. However, they seated us in a six person booth which does not accommodate the people going for 2nd helpings. Before we sat down we asked to be relocated to a table but although there were many tables available they were unable to accommodate us. Apparently they system assigns reservations to tables and is difficult to rearrange the reservations. In spite the seating problems, the food for the brunch was great especially the shrimp, brisket and pork tenderloin."

  • "We have previously attended Chuck's Easter Brunch and it was amazingly good with an awesome array of foods including BBQ, ham, smoked chicken and Cajun dessert. Sadly we did not experience the same quality at the Mothers Day brunch. The food was not hot, but room temperature/ cold. The selection was mostly egg and rice dishes with no BBQ!? What was served was served was mediocre at best, but surely not worth $30 a person. I felt bad that the one day out of the year that we have to recognize and honor our Mothers on their special day that it was truly a letdown from the quality of food that we came to expect from Chuck's. We will not be back."

I ordered the special fish and when I said dry, I didn't mean overcooked, I just didn't want all the "glisten" Be specific about your needs to your server. Otherwise, it's all good.
