4 of us went on a Saturday night. It was wonderful. We were seated immediately at a table. Didn't have to wait long for the waitress and once we ordered, the food was out in 10 minutes. The waitress was a bit harried but good. The owner walks around to talk to each table and makes sure that you have what you need, which was a nice touch. Food was delicious. We can't wait to go back, but this time we will bring a crowd of friends. Make sure to try the cobbler. It was big enough for 2 people to share, but you probably won't want to share once you taste it!! It is a fun place to go to with friends and you will leave with a belly full of great food and spend a lot less money than you would expect for the quality and quantity.

There is something for everyone on Chuck's Food Menu. Among my favorites are the Carne Asada & the Cajun Blackened Filet Mignon Tail. You can't beat Allen Brother's Quality! For dessert, the Bananas Foster Crepes is ridiculously delicious. Not to mention, the craft beer selection is the best in town!

Went on a Thursday night. Had a reservation and booth was waiting for us when we arrived. Noise level was moderate so we were able to carry on a conversation. Food and Service were great. Half our party had not been to restaurant before and they thought it was great. Thanks again.

We have been for breakfast and dinner. Finding dinner to be the better choice. Breakfast just so-so. Went back for their once a month Beignet Breakfast and found that they were sold out when we arrived. I'm assuming that they don't make their own Beignets????? Managers comment was that they would order more for next time. Wait staff told us that people call ahead and order for their arrival?????? So maybe stick to the Pork Chop Dinner which is fantastic and they do have a disclaimer on the menu -while they last. Didn't for the Beignets.

The food at Chuck's (almost) never disappoints. The portions are quite large and piping hot when brought out. They can accommodate any size party from 2 to ten and there is always a craft show if you go on the 1st Saturday of the month. Chuck's has a little something for everyone. With that said, I was very excited to have my friend and her family join me for benign breakfast Saturday but EXTREMELY disappointed that all the benigns were gone by 10 AM. Our server politely suggested that next time I make a reservation, I should request however many benign plates I think I'll need so I don't miss out. That was THE FIRST time that was ever suggested to me and I was very annoyed because of it! It defeated the purpose of us going!

Incredible number of beer options, almost too many, but if you love beer, this is the place. Plenty of good solid food -- pulled pork, jambalaya, ribs along with a decent amount of salads and appetizers. Lots of TVs show live sports events. Consequently, the noise level is high, but the Ambien e is fun. Our server was terrific. she was always on top of the orders from our party of ten. Our table was ready at the time we requested.

I enjoy this place. I had been to the original near Midway years ago and was happy to see one in our area. Large place with plenty of seating (not the same atmosphere as the original but you're there to eat right?). Their brisket and pulled pork were outstanding and their mild sauce had a nice kick. The hot links....they were hot. In a good way but there is no warning about that. I went combo platter to get a taste of everything. They also have a great beer list. Give it a try. Good place to catch a game with friends. If you have kids, there is room for them and the noise level allows them to be kids (FYI...there weren't a lot of kids running around so don't let that observation spook you).

The restaurant is a great marketer. We saw their review on Diners, Driveins, and Dives. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very good. Just about everything was over seasoned. Maybe if you are a smoker and can't taste anything, you would like it, but we didn't. The waitress was attentive, but aggressively trying to turn our table on a Saturday night, we were in and out in about 40 minutes, not very relaxing.

We came here for my birthday dinner of a party of 8. The table was ready when the reservation time came. My family loved the food and the portions are huge for the price. The chicken fried chicken and oysters Rockefeller seemed to be some table favorites. The beer list was appreciated and the mac and cheese is super delicious! My favorite for sure! The service is great. You are paid attention to without being overly bothered. We definitely will be back again seeing as my family had many more options on the menu they want to try!

Chucks makes really fantastic BBQ and Southwestern dishes. Their beer list is quite extensive. The noise level is high, but you can have a conversation. Great friendly service. I had the Conchita Pibil. I have had this dish in other places, and make it myself. Chuck's was delicious. My wife had the swordfish special and it was great. I have had ribs and pulled pork here too , and they are great. One Saturday a month they have Beignet Breakfast. I have been there for this as well. They have a hearty breakfast menu, and you can get Cafe-au-Lait made with real Chicory coffee. Just like being at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans! Call to find out which Saturday, because he alternates with the other location. I recommend a reservation.

There we 8 of us and we sat at a long bar table so we could sit 4 across from eachother and all be in the conversation instead of a long rectangular table. Food was great and generous. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and they got a fabulous large ice cream brownie sundae. 6 p.m. reservations were perfect and people kept rolling in. By 9 it had cleared out fairly well, but we all hung on to enoy and play your slots. We are all a crazy bunch and this place was just the perfect cohoice for what we wanted. I am so glad it all worked out so well.

Have recommended to friends and they enjoyed it so much they asked us to join them the next time they went. Outstanding.

  • Excellent BBQ in Chicago Land Area
    mustangjoe
    Dined on 8/31/2014
The BBQ is excellent for a Chicago land eatery. True BBQ, like you would come across in Missouri or Texas, not just cooked meat drenched in BBQ sauce pretending to be BBQ. The ribs are loaded with meat that falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. The same goes for the brisket and pulled pork. One of my other favorites is the sizable craft beer selection on tap.

The food at Chuck's was good enough but not to my liking. There was some spice in the BBQ sauce that I did not care. My husband and I both ordered the beef brisket. Mine was lean while my husband's was so fatty it was inedible. My son had the ribs which he liked, another person at our table had the pork special which she thought had too much pepper in the peppercorn gravy and another person had the pulled pork dinner which she liked. The coleslaw had an odd taste to it and no one at our table was too excited about it. Our waiter was excellent and very informative. My husband would go back again but my son and I would not.

This is a down-home american restaurant. This is a kind of sort of upscale "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant that serves homestyle comfort food. We got cajun cakes, jalepeno cornbread, and potato skins for appetizers. This was for 5 people... Everyone was saying that they were just about ready for the meal to be over because they were reasonably. About 35 minutes later, yes the service is not that great, our massive portion sized main courses cam out. It was all very good from the hot link to brisket and rib tips. The Carolina barbecue sauce was delicious. This place has an incredible beer menu, with somewhere in the ballpark of 5 pages of beers to choose from, complete with a food pairing and description of what the beer tastes like.
