To start this one is unique to Miami, they have the best caesar salad in town and it comes included with every meal. The potato skins with Caviar are to die for and the black bean soup with that cherry liquor they pour on the table is something you shouldn't miss. Steak was pretty good, but the sea bass that my wife ordered was amazing (and i'm not a fish guy). Leave some room for the baked Alaska. The only place in Miami that has a decent one. Ambience was ok, a little loud but... it's Miami, a little bit dark and reddish. Outdated but also it gives it a bit of character. It had been 5 years since the last time we visited and we were not disappointed. The meal was great - steaks cooked to perfection, caesar salad delicious and the sides were a perfect compliment to the meal. We were a party of four and were able to share some of each. The fact that the salad and side come are included with the entree was a welcome change from most fine dining restaurants these days! The wine list offered a variety of choices at good price points. We usually order the same thing each time (prime rib, rib eye) but this time I was pleasantly surprised with several new items on the menu recommended by the waitress. We had the new escargot on bone marrow, and their new calamari that has a nice spicy twist to it. Both were delicious. Christy's had been recommended to me by a manager in my firm, who was absolutely correct in his recommendation. My daughter, who enjoys good food and great prime rib, told me it was the best dinner she has ever had - and she has been to many fine restaurants. We had a little confusion with the server assignments, but not enough to disrupt our dinner. Was very impressed when after ordering Escargot for my sppetizer, I was told it was not the traditional presentation but on marrow. It was served on a split bone which had the marrow and on which the escargot were placed. Since I happen to love marrow it was a delightful surprise - and a taste trest. Also, when we told the waiter we just wanted a small dessert and asked if the Baked Alaska would be small, he warned us it was a big serving and more than we wanted. My wife has been going there since she was little with her parents so this restaurant has many memories for our family. Unfortunately, the new changes in the menu dampened our experience a bit. We were looking forward to our favorite Oyster Rockafella and Escargot to find new not unimproved appetizers. The presentation for the escargot actually was not appealing and both were dry. All in all the steaks and drinks and service were perfect! Please bring back the old recipes.
