WOW, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant out, to celebrate my new job. We had passed it driving before, but knew nothing about it. Good thing we decided to dress up a little for the occasion, because we didn't know the restaurant was so nice. That's a plus, not a bad thing! I made a reservation online as a lark since open table was available, and glad I did. 8pm on a Thursday evening and it was packed! The service we received was exceptional, and the food, OH MY GOD the food was heavenly. Will be back most assuredly! Love it!

I've never been to Christopher's and was thrilled to find this little gem over a weekend visit. The service was spot-on- our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable but not overbearing. The food was great and the décor and ambiance in this former home is amazing. One rooms flows gracefully to the next with bold but charming style- I highly recommend Christopher's and can't wait to return.

I have visited this restaurant many times, mostly for special occasions. Christopher's has the best service of any restaurant we have ever been to. The staff is very well trained. They give just the right amount of attention without hovering over the table. They always make you feel welcome and special. The food is amazing. We have tried many dishes. All are excellent.

Seated in the bar next to the band at 6:15. Were not told band would start playing at 7 pm. Appetizers were never delivered to table. Waitress did apologize and asked if we still wanted them. We decided to have her box them up and we would take them with us. Band showed up at 7:10 and we were all quite upset as we were looking for a quiet dinner so we immediately paid bill and left restaurant. Very inconsiderate of staff not to tell us about band and offer us a table elsewhere in restaurant. Also we were surprised appetizers were not offered at no charge since they were never delivered. Poor experience. Will never return to this restaurant. Note: Food was good.

This is a great restaurant to take friends to for a nice dinner out. I could not wait for my return visit to College Station to have the opportunity to take my friends to Christopher's. We started off with the delicious fondue. We all had different dinner choices and everything was prepared perfectly! Presentation was nice and everyone certainly enjoyed their dinner. The dessert choices are spectacular and tasty. Do save room for dessert! I will definitely return to Christopher's and highly recommend others to make a reservation and go also.

We always enjoy eating at Christphers. Excellent food in fair sized portions, nice ambiance, fantastic service. Make sure to get reservations. We had dinner there on ring night, with reservations, and we're immediately seated. Those that did not have reservations were waiting for a very long time. I felt bad jumping ahead of all of them, but that went away pretty quick!

The restaurant was quiet for a midafternoon brunch before an Aggie football game, but food and service were impeccable! We had a birthday to celebrate and ordered many different items to sample since it was our first time here. The seafood crepes were delicious, the salmon cooked perfectly (both, the raspberry glazed and a special with seafood topping), the chicken and brie sandwich outstanding and the stuffed mushroom starter yummy! Really nice, colorful sides of vegetables and potatoes filled our plates and were quite generous portions! We only regret we were too full to try more than one dessert-the key lime tart with mango puree was excellent, though! Prices were reasonable for this quality of food.

We went to Cristopher's to celebrate a birthday. I chose Christopher's because my past experiences have been outstanding and because my friend had never been there. In a nut shell I didn't feel that the service and food preparation held up to my expectations nor past experiences. My friend ordered the blue filet to be prepared medium. It was in fact quite rare in the center and to one side. We ordered cappuccinos with her birthday dessert. The dessert was delivered well ahead of our cappuccinos and no sweetener was offered nor delivered with our coffee drinks. I had to wait for the attention of a table attendant to request sweetener.

  • Derby Salad for Lunch
    christophersdiner
    Dined on 8/25/2014
I had the derby salad for lunch. The bacon had a plastic-like texture and appearance and not much taste. There was insufficient dressing for the size of salad, but worst of all was the fact that there was too much blue cheese on the salad. It overwhelmed all of the other flavors in the dish. Christopher's is always a nice place for a meal, but the rooms we were in had so much echo and background noise it was hard to have quiet conversation with the people sitting next to me. Some acoustic dampening would be a worthwhile investment.

Three of us decided last minute to go to Christopher's for a late, 1:15, lunch. It was not busy so the noise level was low at this time. Lunch was delicious. We all ordered different dishes. One was a penne pasta with steak, one a chicken sandwich with an amazing French fried salad, and the other was the tomato basil soup and house field green salad. The only complaints: it was FREEZING in there, even after asking them to adjust the thermostat. I understand the staff might be warm because they are moving around a lot, but for the guest sitting in there, warm it up please. And secondly, too much dressing applied to the salads making them soggy and a bit too much to want to finish the salad. Overall Great place that we will return to!

My wife ordered the filet cooked rare that comes on a bed of creamed spinach - it was outstanding, and the meat was perfectly cooked. I ordered the snapper that came with lump crab and with a cream sauce, and it was very, very good. My order also had steamed vegetables and mashed sweet potatoes - they were a good compliment to the snapper. For dessert we ordered a chocolate truffle cake that was very tasty. A very good restaurant - the ambiance was slightly lacking, mainly due to the quantity of patrons they choose to pack into the space that they have. The food was pricey, but worth it, in my opinion. Total bill (without tip) came to just at $100.

We enjoyed the most wonderful graduation dinner for 6 of us! We really appreciated our server (Lauren) and the patient staff for our 8 pm reservation. Several in our party were 1/2 hour late, but the staff never made us feel rushed or concerned about the tardiness. Everything we ordered was amazing, and Lauren did a fantastic job of recommending appetizers (that brie is to die for!) and main courses. Simply a lovely evening with good wine, exceptional food and a genuinely nice and professional server. We will be back!

Our food was good, our waiter was well trained, maybe a little rehearsed and TOO attentive, but he did his job well. We were first going to be seated in the back of a dark room right next to the only other people in the room-I think there was bench seating that connected the tables and we asked for a different table. Bee then were seated next to window, with natural light in another room, which was much better

My husband and I enjoy nice food and entertaining our pallets. When it came time for our anniversary celebration there was no question where we wanted to celebrate it. Christopher's has exceptional cuisine, impeccable waiters, and an elegant ambiance. FYI: The dinner wine list favors those who purchase by the bottle--average one single-serve glass available per wine varietal-- but they do have a variety of cocktails. Price per person is about $50 for dinner and $25 for brunch.

The venue itself is inviting and intimate. We were ready for a great experience after reading the description of the chef's and staff's credits. We have dined at many of the highest rated restaurants in the US and Europe so have much a discerning opinion. Pretty disappointing. The food was not very creative in our view and the preparation was off. My boar chop was over cooked and somewhat tasteless and the Italian duck sausage was bland. The presentation was good but food quality was very average to below average. My wife had fish which was clearly not fresh and overcooked. My son's and his girlfriend's meals were good. It seemed very hit or miss and very expensive. Can't see coming back.
