Christopher's World Grille, in the historic and restored Andrews House, features an innovative, eclectic menu that reflects the world travels of Certified Executive Chef, Christopher Lampo. A new 1800 sq. ft. banquet room makes Christopher's the ideal facility for engagement parties, bridal luncheons, rehearsal dinners, and wedding receptions lavishly decorated in a rich, New Orleans style with state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment, elaborate chandeliers and decor, private guest entry, fireplace and wrap-around porch.
Not only has Christopher's been voted 1st Place for Best Fine Dining four years in a row by the Best of the Brazos Valley, and won several awards for Best Fine Dining and Most Romantic by the Eagle's Reader's Poll, Christopher's has recently been featured in Texas Monthly magazine.

  • "I had the derby salad for lunch. The bacon had a plastic-like texture and appearance and not much taste. There was insufficient dressing for the size of salad, but worst of all was the fact that there was too much blue cheese on the salad. It overwhelmed all of the other flavors in the dish. Christopher's is always a nice place for a meal, but the rooms we were in had so much echo and background noise it was hard to have quiet conversation with the people sitting next to me. Some acoustic dampening would be a worthwhile investment."

  • "Three of us decided last minute to go to Christopher's for a late, 1:15, lunch. It was not busy so the noise level was low at this time. Lunch was delicious. We all ordered different dishes. One was a penne pasta with steak, one a chicken sandwich with an amazing French fried salad, and the other was the tomato basil soup and house field green salad. The only complaints: it was FREEZING in there, even after asking them to adjust the thermostat. I understand the staff might be warm because they are moving around a lot, but for the guest sitting in there, warm it up please. And secondly, too much dressing applied to the salads making them soggy and a bit too much to want to finish the salad. Overall Great place that we will return to!"

  • "My wife ordered the filet cooked rare that comes on a bed of creamed spinach - it was outstanding, and the meat was perfectly cooked. I ordered the snapper that came with lump crab and with a cream sauce, and it was very, very good. My order also had steamed vegetables and mashed sweet potatoes - they were a good compliment to the snapper. For dessert we ordered a chocolate truffle cake that was very tasty. A very good restaurant - the ambiance was slightly lacking, mainly due to the quantity of patrons they choose to pack into the space that they have. The food was pricey, but worth it, in my opinion. Total bill (without tip) came to just at $100."

  • "We enjoyed the most wonderful graduation dinner for 6 of us! We really appreciated our server (Lauren) and the patient staff for our 8 pm reservation. Several in our party were 1/2 hour late, but the staff never made us feel rushed or concerned about the tardiness. Everything we ordered was amazing, and Lauren did a fantastic job of recommending appetizers (that brie is to die for!) and main courses. Simply a lovely evening with good wine, exceptional food and a genuinely nice and professional server. We will be back!"

  • "Our food was good, our waiter was well trained, maybe a little rehearsed and TOO attentive, but he did his job well. We were first going to be seated in the back of a dark room right next to the only other people in the room-I think there was bench seating that connected the tables and we asked for a different table. Bee then were seated next to window, with natural light in another room, which was much better"

  • "Great environment for a special date. Most of the food is amazing, however their ribeyes are usually not as tender as it should be. They used to have a porterhouse that was the most amazing steak ever! Crawfish fondue is a must."

  • "My husband and I enjoy nice food and entertaining our pallets. When it came time for our anniversary celebration there was no question where we wanted to celebrate it. Christopher's has exceptional cuisine, impeccable waiters, and an elegant ambiance. FYI: The dinner wine list favors those who purchase by the bottle--average one single-serve glass available per wine varietal-- but they do have a variety of cocktails. Price per person is about $50 for dinner and $25 for brunch."

  • "The venue itself is inviting and intimate. We were ready for a great experience after reading the description of the chef's and staff's credits. We have dined at many of the highest rated restaurants in the US and Europe so have much a discerning opinion. Pretty disappointing. The food was not very creative in our view and the preparation was off. My boar chop was over cooked and somewhat tasteless and the Italian duck sausage was bland. The presentation was good but food quality was very average to below average. My wife had fish which was clearly not fresh and overcooked. My son's and his girlfriend's meals were good. It seemed very hit or miss and very expensive. Can't see coming back."

  • "My wife and I made reservations for our 24th anniversary. The restaurant was busy, but not crowded. New Orleans Jazz, including Louis Armstrong, was playing, although with the quiet atmosphere, some of the songs were jarringly loud. Service was attentive and prompt. My entrée was Huevos Enchiladas. Each bite of the stacked enchiladas and fried eggs was subtly different and unique as the individual ingredients had kept their own flavors instead of being a bland uniform mix. My wife got the Mazatlan Chicken with avocado salsa, the salsa was sweet and tangy. For dessert we had the Berries Napoleon, which was brought out on a plate that had Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. This was a special touch to end a very special brunch."

  • "First of all the service was excellent! However, it appeared that the executive chef was out. The meal took us up and down like a roller coaster ride. Somethings were outstanding and some were very poorly done. Up- the amuse bouche, crab cake (truly excellent), clams, the steak (done perfectly). Down- the breads (no artisan baker on the premise), vegetable medley which consisted of spinach floating in oil, a pile of over-sweetened squash, a baked tomato half, an unpeeled, overcooked (yet fibrous tough) asparagus spear, and a pile of mashed season potatoes. Also down was the single head-on-prawn that was over cooked and half of it was old and pulpy. The wine list was good. Intended to have dessert, but did not want to take the chance."

  • "I have been to Christopher's many times for dinner, but never lunch. My girlfriend and I finally had the opportunity to try their lunch menu. I ordered the shrimp BLT, which is served with their french fry salad. I was not sure what to think of the french fry salad when the food was delivered, but I was pleasantly surprised. The french fry salad was almost as good as the shrimp BLT, which was fantastic. My girlfriend had the Hyde Park chicken salad, which was also great. I wish I had tried their lunch sooner, but at least I now know what I have been missing. If you want to have a great lunch, or dinner, this is the place to go."

The young A&M college student who served us was friendly and very efficient. A great experience."
