We took our 2 sons and a friend to brunch on Sunday. It was a very nice place. It took far too long for everything. The staff was very nice and well trained, but after being seated, it took at least 20 minutes to have our order placed and 40 minutes to get our food. The food was good but not great and after waiting so long to get it, our expectations were probably even higher. They were out of beignets which was disappointing as well since my son loves them and it would have been nice to have some since we had to wait so long to eat. I would try it again, but would try it for dinner. .

We recently enjoyed brunch at Christopher's for my son's birthday. As usual, the food was wonderful and the service was excellent - we were never rushed nor did we ever need anything. Everyone enjoyed their meal - especially the house filet and the desserts! I highly recommend the grand mimosa! A meal at Christopher's is great any time - but they make a special event even more special. For this reason, Christopher's has become our go to restuarant when we have something to celebrate and we are in the Bryan-College Station area.

Really enjoyed the baked Brie and pomegranate martini. I had the snapper entree and that included several small portions off fresh vegetables included. My Husband had the bacon wrapped salmon with mixed vegetables. The service was courteous and efficient. Our waitress smiled often and dining room was relaxing. I may come back for Aggie pre game buffet.

This past week I hosted a group of friend - many from out of town - to lunch, and I selected Christopher's World Grille for the venue based on previous experiences at this wonderful restaurant. I typically dine at Christopher's ten to twelve times a year. My guests and I could not have been more pleased with the delicious food, the selection of wines, and the excellent service. One cannot go wrong by selecting the Roasted Corn and Crawfish Chowder, Roquefort Apple Salad, Zihuatanejo Snapper, and the Berry Napoleon. The House Filet, the Penne Pasta with Beef Tenderloin and Chipotle, and the Cheesecake are also exceptionally good.

We have been coming to Christopher's since it opened and chose it for my birthday on Sunday. We shared the crab and avocado tower and the special 12 ounce New York Strip-which was cooked perfectly. The accompanying scalloped potatoes and haricort verts were very good. The "piece de resistance" was a special pumpkin cheesecake--which we of course shared! Really out of this world. I am a big pumpkin fan so sort of look for it in recipes during October and November. This was a gem!

The Caesar Carbonara salad was beautiful and large enough to split, although I greedily ate all of it, enjoying the dressing with just the right amount of bacon sprinkled over the top. The NY Strip was beautifully presented and our guest indicated that it was great. Shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and the lamb chops were also like works of art and delicious as well. The service was friendly and efficient and our dinner guest's dessert plate (a decadent chocolate cake) was decorated in keeping with the birthday celebration. The fruit Napoleon was a feast for the eyes as well as the mouth. This restaurant would be outstanding even in a foodie market such as Santa Fe or New Orleans. In Bryan, Texas, it's a treasure.

Christopher's met our expectations again! The food was delicious. Our birthday girl requested steak and it was superb! We also requested to be seated in the old home portion of the restaurant and our request was honored. Our server was very attentive and enthusiastic. Our steaks came out cooked as requested. Yay! The only negative was that we asked for our left overs to be packed to go. They never showed up at our table and in our celebratory mood we were distracted and left, forgetting to ask. (Servers should have taken care of it though.)

Worth the drive out of town to get there. From start to finish, we had a great experience. The appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all note-worthy. The staff was attentive even with such a busy night - all the tables were occupied and reservations were highly recommended. Kuddos to Christopher's - we will definitely return next time we are in town!

Torchon de Foie Gras, very salty, overpowering the foie gras, quite a disappointment. Corleone Winter Duck was average but good. Pumpkin soup was very good. Zihuatanejo Snapper was very good. The restaurant is hyped as being upscale which is reflected in the many of the menu prices but not reflected in the food quality. My opinion based on only one visit to the restuarant and certainly not a common opinion as the restaurant was quite busy on a Wednesday night.

WOW, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant out, to celebrate my new job. We had passed it driving before, but knew nothing about it. Good thing we decided to dress up a little for the occasion, because we didn't know the restaurant was so nice. That's a plus, not a bad thing! I made a reservation online as a lark since open table was available, and glad I did. 8pm on a Thursday evening and it was packed! The service we received was exceptional, and the food, OH MY GOD the food was heavenly. Will be back most assuredly! Love it!

Seated in the bar next to the band at 6:15. Were not told band would start playing at 7 pm. Appetizers were never delivered to table. Waitress did apologize and asked if we still wanted them. We decided to have her box them up and we would take them with us. Band showed up at 7:10 and we were all quite upset as we were looking for a quiet dinner so we immediately paid bill and left restaurant. Very inconsiderate of staff not to tell us about band and offer us a table elsewhere in restaurant. Also we were surprised appetizers were not offered at no charge since they were never delivered. Poor experience. Will never return to this restaurant. Note: Food was good.

This is a great restaurant to take friends to for a nice dinner out. I could not wait for my return visit to College Station to have the opportunity to take my friends to Christopher's. We started off with the delicious fondue. We all had different dinner choices and everything was prepared perfectly! Presentation was nice and everyone certainly enjoyed their dinner. The dessert choices are spectacular and tasty. Do save room for dessert! I will definitely return to Christopher's and highly recommend others to make a reservation and go also.

The restaurant was quiet for a midafternoon brunch before an Aggie football game, but food and service were impeccable! We had a birthday to celebrate and ordered many different items to sample since it was our first time here. The seafood crepes were delicious, the salmon cooked perfectly (both, the raspberry glazed and a special with seafood topping), the chicken and brie sandwich outstanding and the stuffed mushroom starter yummy! Really nice, colorful sides of vegetables and potatoes filled our plates and were quite generous portions! We only regret we were too full to try more than one dessert-the key lime tart with mango puree was excellent, though! Prices were reasonable for this quality of food.

We went to Cristopher's to celebrate a birthday. I chose Christopher's because my past experiences have been outstanding and because my friend had never been there. In a nut shell I didn't feel that the service and food preparation held up to my expectations nor past experiences. My friend ordered the blue filet to be prepared medium. It was in fact quite rare in the center and to one side. We ordered cappuccinos with her birthday dessert. The dessert was delivered well ahead of our cappuccinos and no sweetener was offered nor delivered with our coffee drinks. I had to wait for the attention of a table attendant to request sweetener.

    christophersdiner
    Dined on 8/25/2014
I had the derby salad for lunch. The bacon had a plastic-like texture and appearance and not much taste. There was insufficient dressing for the size of salad, but worst of all was the fact that there was too much blue cheese on the salad. It overwhelmed all of the other flavors in the dish. Christopher's is always a nice place for a meal, but the rooms we were in had so much echo and background noise it was hard to have quiet conversation with the people sitting next to me. Some acoustic dampening would be a worthwhile investment.
