Diner Reviews
  • "Every part of the experience was outstanding. Don't let the name change concern you - everything is the same when it was Del Frisco's. Been multiple times and always consistant."

  • "Christner's prime steak and seafood is always a number one stop whenever in Orlando. The food, service and ambience of Christner's is second to none and competes well with the finest steakhouse is in the country. The staff is very friendly and does their job extraordinarily well. If you are a fine steak lover The bone-in- ribeye will please beyond expectations and combined with their Mac and lobster side dish will keep you coming back for more.. Christner's Steakhouse can be compared to Morton's, Flemings and even Bern's of Tampa and in my opinion wins out across the board."

  • "excellent steak house on the high end of the price spectrum."

  • "Same expectations after 20 years. Even now at$7 an ounce the lobster is the best. The filet was cooked perfectly. The bread and orange cake are to die for. As it has been for 20 years the vegetables are boring. The mushrooms are bland and the asparagus is nothing to brag about. We've tried the spinach, the potatoes before and it's similar. Good but boring. Flemings owns the flavor of the side dishes. They really need to step it up with the sides. Will that stop me from going - no but I would start going more often over Flemings. Going at 5pm on a weeknight - wow. it was nice and quiet."

  • "it had been at least 10 years since the last time i visited. the food was mostly good, except [i hate the except], our steaks were too salty. delicious were you could cut a bit with out the salty exterior. The were cooked perfectly, but the salt took away a lot of the enjoyment. We are not ones to complain, so we ate them. The calamari was the best that I have ever had. and i have had calamari in lots of places. the jalepenos and peppers made this dish pop. the sides were very good. the dessert was delicious. We enjoyed and would visit again. was surprised that the dress code was less than remembered."

  • "Best steak i had in Florida hands down. Love the low lighting and smooth music played. Everything in the restaurant made my dining experience excellent. Is my wife's new favorite steak house. Will be returning very soon."

  • "took my girlfriend here for a nice dinner. Can not complain about anything. This was by far the best meal I ever had. The food came out in a timely matter, the steaks were cooked to perfection and the chocolate moose dessert was by far the best ever. The service there was exceptional, the server knew just how much to come to the table, helped with things we were unsure about and overall provided us with an amazing night."

  • "The food is good and well prepared. The service is good. However, it is very expensive and is reserved to be a specail ocasion location for us."

  • "Annual trip when my sister comes from Boston. My husband gets the same thing every time (Strip steak with peppercorn) and we always get the beefsteak tomato appetizer (definitely with blue cheese crumbles) and an 18 or 20 oz Lobster. This year my sister and I tried the crab cakes dinner (she said it was yummy and my husband agreed) and I had the tuna (delicious even when the leftovers were warmed up the next day for 45 seconds!) The only thing was that the lobster was a tad too tough to eat but was still delicious. Otherwise great food! And the orange/pineapple dessert was awesome (and I didn't want to order it!!) Service and food consistent."

  • "There's an old-school-rat-pack feel here and we loved it. (There's plenty of sleek and ultra-modern places you can go, nice to be somewhere with style and charm.) The service was outstanding- Kevin who apparently has been there quite sometime-was perfect and fits right in. Food was fantastic. Whether it's a birthday, business dinner, or you're just craving a great steak you can't go wrong here."

  • "Outstanding meal with great service. Our appetizers were delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection! Vegetables and bread were excellent, too. Wonderful wine selection."

  • "Christner's continues in the tradition that was Del Frisco's, that of great prime meats perfectly cooked. We had dinner on a recent Friday evening with friends. Our private room was waiting at the reservation time, and was quiet and luxurious. Service was very good, and Brandon took care of any wishes. He had good knowledge of the menu, and made a few nice recommendations. I highly recommend the NY strip, although my friend had the rib-eye, which he claimed was great as well. All the sides are large enough for at least two, my favorite is the creamed spinach...awesome. From the bread to the drinks, everything is done very, very well. The place is certainly not cheap. Figure $100 a head with a few drinks or wine. Well worth it."

  • "Food was spectacular, as usual. This was my third visit to Christner's. The service is always prompt, efficient, and professional. My only complaint this last visit was the loud group of people at the table next to us. But I don't think the management had any real control over this situation. Overall, a very nice dining experience!"

  • "Free valet parking, gorgeous interior with classic, refined decoration, impeccable and friendly service, and the best food we've tasted in Orlando. Their attention to detail in food and service, plus the over-sized sides, appetizers, and desserts for sharing--what's not to like? Best dining experience in years!"

  • "Great food and service, but be sure to let the hostess know if you want a quiet area to dine. This review is based on being seating in a booth next to the bar area."

  • "I have been here before before the name was changed from Del Friscos. Somewhat odd location off Lee Road, but we realize it has been there for many years. The food continues to be exceptional with wonderful entrees, family style sides and desserts. We had to ask for another table after being seated next to a large group of over 20 celebrating a birthday. The noise was deafening and I had to wonder why they seated us so close to begin with. But once settled in another location we enjoyed our experience. Expensive, but worth it!"

  • "This was our second time to Christner's. We took some friends from out of town and had a great time. As usual the food was out of sight. The steaks are simply outstanding, the Ahi Tuna appetizer as good as I have had anywhere. I also have to give a shout out to the staff, the are friendly, knowledgable, and a pleasure to be around. If you are looking for the best steak in Orlando Christner's is the place to go."

  • "I do enjoy eating here but I was a little disappointed. Nothing bad but not what I expect a $200 meal for 2, with one drink each. Calamari was great. Salmon and steak was really good but I hoped for really excellent. Creme brulee I wouldn't get again. I would recommend and return but only if no seating at Flemings (Winter Park) or Lindas."

  • "Steak was great but service was horrible!!! Very rude at front door greeting. Ordered spinach as a side and it came with heavy baked cheese. Was kind in telling the waiter it wasn't what I expected and I don't like cheese but he didn't care and insisted that I should just eat it. He never came back for water refill or suggested replacing the side dish. Would never go back there!"

  • "My fiance and I went to Christner's to have a special, romantic dinner. The hostesses were great, We had a reservation and, therefore, only waited about 5 minutes before we were seated. Our waiter was fantastic! Engaging, attentive and made the entire experience so much better. The filet mignon was perfectly flavored and cooked exactly how we wanted. And lobster was delicious! I will definitely go back! Thank you Christner's!"

  • "All facets of the dining experience were excellent. The bar should be a little bigger but the drinks from the bar were generous in size and still overall and excellent experience."

  • "After deciding upon a dining location for Valentine's Day, my husband and I eagerly anticipated visiting Christner's. The staff was excellent from the moment we entered the driveway. The food was stupendous. Definitely an excellent choice for others searching for excellence."

  • "They lost reservation. A drink took 30 min at bar. Food was cold at that point they were outof all lobsters of a decent size which is why we went. Service was slow and inexperienced the excuse was we were in the back room the good servers are in the front room. I couldnt speak to a manager and all I could do at this point is leave and that is what I should have done. Instead paid$400 for awful food."

  • "Formerly Del Friscos, still the same owners food and kitchen. My friend and I went there inadvertently on Valentines day and even with the high volume the service was quick and food was still of the same quality. Out server said normally they serve about 250 customers per night, this particular night they did 1,000 customers (we were among a late crowd closing down the restaurant). Steaks were cooked perfectly, sides were great. All went very well until I paid the tab and the server came back after running my credit card and informed me that he accidentally charged another tables bill in addition to mine. He offered to give the cash for the amount charged. Not the end of the world, but really a bad fumble for an experienced server."

  • "Did not disappoint as a hidden gem frequented by locals. All positive reviews are spot on. Flavorful steaks cooked to perfection. I am not a fan of rib-eye steak but I tasted a bite and was blown away at the flavor. The homemade bread was even a pleasant surprise. All menu items were represented accurately. Entire meal was amazing. Wait staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Great place! Will definitely return."

  • "Christners always delivers a consistent product. The food is cooked to perfection, the service is impeccable, and although this is a high end/priced dining experience, it is worth every penny. Will come back as much as the budget allows and recommend this restaurant to my friends that want a perfect steak and phenomenal dining experience."

  • "I had been to Del friscos 10 years ago and couldn't wait to go back. I read the whole back story about the transition in the name and realized it indeed was just a name change. Every bit of the meal was outstanding, including dessert. Go hungry as you will need every open spot your stomach has with the portions that are served. Don't confuse the quantity to be a lack of quality. Nothing could be further from the truth. Top notch in every department, Bravo."

  • "The food was unbelievable, great flavors, and portions for price was better than usual. The only con was the people that came to the table next to us and must of bathed in perfume. I can't wait to go back."

  • "A great evening for my wife's birthday; although our server seemed like a guy who sells speakers out of the back of a van. Perhaps that's part of the charm. Fine dining with a touch of grit."
