"Tucked away next to a psychic and a Chinese restaurant, Chouchou doesn't stand out physically, but it does stand out gustatorially. The food is excellent. The ambiance soft and quiet and the colors weird.
I think it is a reincarnation of a French Cafe. The menu has 10 varied entrees. The starters include escargot (my favorite).
Parking is easy, just go on up Woodside."

"We were a group of 12 and everything went splendidly for my birthday party. The service was wonderful and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Definitely have to go back for the foie gras before July."

"The food was very good but after waiting an extraordinary long time after we ordered, we were brought our entrees. We made the mistake of saying that we had not had our appetizers as we had to wait again for them and again for our main courses. The manager brought sparkling wine but even that was gone before our food came.."

"Chouchou was wonderful; a cozy, moderately priced place with excellent food and a friendly staff. The tables were intimate, the atmosphere relaxed; it's a good place to take a date (assuming that person enjoys French food). I highly recommend it and plan to return."

"I have gone to ChouChou many times. It used to be my favorite restaurant, but I was disappointed last time. The food was good, but not as great as I remembered. I fear that perhaps they have a different chef? The service was competent, but I've been better served there in the past. (Was the server the owner? Owners rarely make excellent waiters.) the wine was over priced and only mediocre."

"I try to get to Chouchou several times a year and always enjoy my experience. Usually I would give them 4 stars, but last Friday's service was fair-to-poor, and I'm hoping it is an anomaly. Our waitress was very good at the beginning of the meal. I asked her for a recommendation on my entree choice, which yielded delicious lamb champs. She disappeared after we received our meals and knowing that I wanted one of their delicious fruit tarts, I asked the busboy to box up half my dinner. Thirty minutes later, I had to get up & ask for the dessert menu & coffee and after we got that, we had to ask for the check. I'll still go back, but am hoping this review is noted by the owner."
