Chops - FolsomPleasant Mother's DayThe restaurant was nice and our waitstaff [Josh] was very nice, attentive and provided excellent service. The food was served timely but the presentation was lacking and good but wasn't anything special. My daughter had the breakfast burrito that was poorly presented and a little dry. My husband and I are 'benedict' fans and we both had one of the dishes [classical and smoked]. The dishes were okay, nothing special -- the potatoes were very tasty. Menu contained items to meet any diner's needs and the wait staff offered us the option of also choosing from the lunch menu.
We opted for Brunch--I had the Benedict made with salmon. The Hollandaise was spruced up with a dash of dill, which, in my opinion, kind of really made the dish perfect. Hubby chose the more traditional Benedict and also cleared his plate.
We reviewed both the lunch and dinner menus and know we'll be back.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, period! Upscale and pricey for that romantic meal but they offer great pub food as well. We went romantic and pricey but were not let down in any part of the meal. It was worth every penny! Perfectly prepared, great sides, wonderful flavor. Press ration and service were some of the best I've had.
Can not recommend this place enough for a drink at the bar, a light meal or appetizer, or for a full on romantic dinner.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall - great place toOverall - great place to go. My only complaint is that the rib-eye I ordered was smothered in some kind of sauce that really took away from the natural flavor of the steak. Was a little disappointed by that. Next time we go there, I will ask for the rib-eye without the sauce. I like to eat out a lot, and unfortunately, my budget only allows me to occassionally visit Chops. I've had the Lamb, Thursday Night Prime Rib, Pork Chop, and the Salmon Oscar. I've had some of my wife's King Crab and I have enjoyed everything.
