  • "Steak was under seasoned and over cooked. Asparagus only had Parmesan cheese on it. That was bland and under seasoned also. Calamari and carpaccio were very good. There are far better steak restaurants in town (Hals, any of rathbun's). Will not go back for steak. Maybe will for other stuff."

  • "My favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Service top class as usual, but two dings on the food. 1 - porterhouse served with truffle butter on top as opposed to on the side (waiter graciously apologized), and 2 - the side order of jumbo asparagus with "parmesan crust" was just grated parmesan melted atop the aspargus in one sad-looking clump."

  • "We have had some great meals at Chops over the last 30 years, but this may have been the best. Everything we had was outstanding. Even the side of mashed potatoes was described by my wife as the best she had ever eaten. The service was just as good as the food. We were never allowed to finish our tea. When the glass was low it was removed and replaced by a fresh one. Everyone there had their A game."

  • "I have been a customer of Chops for 12 years; however, I was not treated well on my last visit. I had a reservation and arrived on time. I greeted the lady at the front desk and she had us wait on our seats. She seemed more interested in serving two couples that came in after we did. And she literally sat the third couple in our reserved seat. It was rude and shocking. I normally choose Chops for great service and food quality. So I was really disappointed on my visit."

  • "We've been to Chops before and it does not disappoint. It's a classic steak house - with a focus on steak and seafood. It's the type of place where I always feel as though a martini is a must and good red wine completes the steak dinner. Classics like iceberg wedge salad, escargot and traditional steak sides are offered alongside seasonal specials and on trend items. The night we dined, they had a soft shell crab appetizer that was delicious. The wait staff are truly professional waiters and they provide the level of attention and customer service appropriate to the environment (and cost). The only downside is that the noise level can get high. We had an early dinner (6 pm) and even then, it quickly got noisy. Still, we love Chops."

  • " We had a disconnect between the server and the man that supplied us the bread butter and our water.We told the server no ice in the water it's understandable that the more people eat and git the more tips the server gets.but we tip 20% pre-dine around card. getting a appetizer and then three minutes later being asked what we want for an entrée is a little much.we also brought our own bottle of wine because my friend is a wine critic and it was from Pennsylvania.she had planned to take any that was left with her.the server grabbed the cork from a bottle before we noticed.he got us another cork but said he was out of the seal lock bags that I believe are necessary to be able to carry a open bottle of wine in your vehicle."

  • "My husband and I went to Chops to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. Overall the service was excellent. The servers worked as a team and everyone was attentive to our every need. We started our meal with calamari and escargot, both were excellent, the best we ever had. We've had calamari at other Buckhead Life Restaurants, but this was by far the best. Even the bread was irresistible. Our filets were melt in your mouth tender and seasoned to perfection. We completed our meal with the complimentary bread pudding on a plate adorned with Happy 29th Anniversary which was a nice touch and absolutely delicious. Chops is our new favorite restaurant and we can wait to go back."

  • "My wife and I had eaten at Chops before and really enjoy the restaurant. This time out, we had their signature lobster appetizer; the only bad part is when its all gone. My wife ordered the special, filet Oscar, but, asked that the hollandaise be brought out on the side; this request was overlooked and we had to send it back. However, with the exception of that one little faux pas, our evening at Chops was delightful and I would recommend it to anyone."

  • "We have counted on Chops for exceptional food and service for our special occasions for many years. Sadly we will need to look elsewhere. Our last visit prior to Friday night was perhaps an indication of continued downward trend. Friday nights experience will confirm that we will not be back. Unfortunately, we could not easily understand our waiter. For over 30 minutes at adjacent table one of the managers talked to adjacent patrons. When another manager stopped to ask us how things were going my wife mentioned the continued banter at the next table and he did nothing. My dry-aged ribeye was tough and lacked flavor and my wife's lobster tail chewy. Sides were bland."

  • "After spending $500 (on dinner for 3) the valet was unable to get us a taxi. We were told we had a taxi waiting when we left. When we got downstairs, we were told there were no taxis available. It was recommended we download "Uber" (and get a ride from strangers?). We found it amazing that a restaurant like Chops would not have a few cabs at their disposal."

  • "We have been to Chops several times and have always found the food to be excellent. This trip was no exception. My husband and son-in-law thought the crab cakes, which were virtually all crab and no "cake", were the best they have ever had. The sole, baby spinach and mushroom salad, and bone-in fillet were particular highlights. The fresh corn mash was to-die-for and much better than any creamed corn. Our only disappointment was our table. When we arrived at 7:00 PM, the restaurant was less than half full. We asked to be seated at one of many empty booths and were told they were reserved -- though booths remained empty all evening until we left at 9:15."

We used to come all the time but had stopped for a bit when our last 2 experiences weren't good (service had deteriorated, and the food wasn't good anymore--not to mention the triple-cut lamb chops weren't available anymore). Decided it wasn't worth the drive. When we heard our favorite lamb chops were available again and had a free night to come, we decided to give it another go. The service was much improved, and the food was delicious. We'll be stopping by more often."

  • "Upon entering we learned their A/C died yesterday. The rented portable A/C units were loud and the overall room temperatures were all over the scale depending on how close to the portable A/C units you were located. The whipped sweet potatoes were room temperature, we sent them back. The replacement was even colder. We switch to another side. The steak and service was great. This was the first bad experience we have had at Chops."
