  • "Enjoyed my two year wedding Anniversary at the chophouse. "

  • "I have been to a lot of restaurants in the US, but this may be the best steakhouse I've ever found. I have been to steakhouses in New York Chicago Los Angeles San Francisco Dallas etc., but the steaks they have here off the charts good… All of them are prime and aged. The sides are almost equally as good as well. And the ambience is terrific, exposed brick wood and great lighting. so this is not going probably the best restaurant currently in New Orleans, it may be the best steakhouse in America."

  • "The New York Strip Steak is my favorite. The service is very professional but friendly and knowledgable. I make a point if eating here every time I get to New Orleans (which says a lot with all the fantastic restaurants in this town!)"

  • "We make reservations for the Chophouse each trip we make to NOLA. Atmosphere is always very nice. Steaks were spot on! Perfectly cooked for medium well requests. Enjoyed the awesome service from Lynsey. We will be back next time!"

  • "The food at this place was great. The service was even better from start to finish. They even hand made me a birthday card. I will be back soon!"

  • "The Chophouse was everything and more than what we expected. We were greeted by friendly hosts, escorted to our table and was quickly greeted by our waiter. Our waiter made wonderful recommendations for our starters and was able to answer all of our questions regarding the menu. The food was fantastic!!! The Chophouse has it all. We were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything that was brought to us. I can't wait to go there again!"

  • "Our group from Alabama had the pleasure of dining at the Chop House and of all the wonderful restaurants, the Chop House was the best - without a doubt!"

  • "We found the restaurant suggestion in the book "Let;s Eat" by Mike Murphy. He was also our concierge at the riverside Hilton. Everything was excellent, the food, ambience, and the live music of a piano and singer. I have already highly recommended this place to many."

  • "I had a fantastic steak at this place as well as a loaded baked potato. Great alternative to the regular Creole fare. Good portion size and great tasting steaks. I took a group of 6 colleagues here, from France and China, and they had nothing but good things to say. Keep up the good work!"

  • "Made 10pm reservations for the evening of our arrival into the Big Easy because this was close to our hotel. Terrific food, although the crab bisque was more of a cream of crab soup - very rich, but tasty. We felt a little too casually dressed for this upscale place, though."

  • "Great steakhouse within walking distance of The National WW II Museum on Magazine St. My wife had the Filet and I had the NY Strip. Both of the steaks were excellent as were the salads and sides. The food and service were excellent and I would highly recommend it to both friends and family. The key lime pie was authentic and one of the better ones I've tried. Avoid the chains like Mortons and Ruth Chris and visit the Chophouse. You will be glad you did."

  • "Biggest sea bass cooked to perfection. Steaks so tender and tasty. Shrimp and sauce, delicious. Wonderful meal with good friends. Definitely recommend to all Racer Fountain Valley, Ca."

  • "My wife and I have had the pleasure of dinning at the Chophouse of New Orleans on two occasions when returning from vacation. The food is excellent. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly."

  • "The steaks were cooked to perfection! The live music coming from the bar area was enjoyable and romantic. The chocolate cake was over the top...HUGE, and just ok. Definitely overpriced for the quality of the cake."

  • "The service here was phenomenal. We specifically asked that they get us in and out in an hour so we could make a ballet performance (which we could not be late for), and they made the effort to have 3 different staff members deliver our food items, cleaning and bringing drinks quickly, while our waitress had us moving at first priority. Our food was delicious. They allow you to order your sides for the whole table, so everyone gets to taste everyone elses sides without cutting up the portions. The steaks come in regular sizes or HUGE sizes! They have the slowest bartender in the city, by far. I mean, he was just slow and bad. But the restaurant was one of NOLA's finest. Modern. Ambience. And Luxurious."

  • "Excellent meal. Steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Seafood Platter is a treat and enjoyed the stone crab which is a rare specialty. Good service and atmosphere. Great Building and energy. Wine and beer selections were slightly underwhelming and the server could have provided better guidance on wine pairing. Very Expensive, but you get what you pay for. $$$$$"

  • "Enjoyed meal. We will return. Bar didn't have white zinfandel wine, however the bartender had told the manager 2 weeks prior to order it. Three separate groups of guests were seated next to each other, of which a group of 4, more senior than us, causing a loud conversation, mad our intimate dinner, less so. There were plenty other tables & waitstaff available to remedy this situation."

  • "A fine cut Delmonico, charred in Pittsburgh style, with Cajun spices...the perfect combination, in a lovely setting, with outstanding service. We will be back."

  • "From the moment we walked in, they welcomed us and brought us to our table. We had excellent food and service."

  • "Delicious steaks and side dishes. Restaurant was quite busy, however we were not rushed and enjoyed the piano music. We will be back."
    Dined on 3/20/2014
  • "We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The only challenge we had was our waiter was not as friendly as we would have liked but we didn't allow that to spoil the dinner. Piano bar was a great touch also at this location."

  • "The service was just a remarkable as the food. When I go out for dinner I look for top notch service and settle for good food. But here you don't have to settle. I would rate the food and service 5 stars. Definitely will return as often as possible."

  • "I was in New Orleans for a weekend with my best friend and girlfriend. We decided to eat at Chophouse on a Saturday Night. I got the Delmonico Steak(ca jun style). It was grilled to perfection. We also enjoyed lobster tail, hash browns, crab bisque, and lots of true New Orleans French Bread! I will definitely be back!"

  • "I would highly recommend Chophouse for a special night out for dinner. The food was excellent and nice ambiance. It is a little pricey but great quality of food and drink. Everything we had was delicious from appetizers to dessert. Steaks are excellent aged beef. Service was very good, did not feel rushed. Will definitely be back in the future."

  • "Way too noisy!! Very difficult to have a conversation. Everything cooked with way too much grease. Steaks served on very small plates."

  • "My fiancé and I went to the Chophouse with high expectations as our last meal on vacation in New Orleans- it was good but it wasn't anything special. our waiter was a bit snobby (maybe because we weren't dressed up like the rest of the people there). I got the 16oz strip and my fiancé got the seafood platter. don't get me wrong it was a good steak but far from one of the best ive had- got the same thing at Dickie Brennan's and I thought it was much better (and 10 bucks cheaper!). the steak cut fries tasted like "carnival" type fried food- weird description, I know, but that's what is reminded me of (maybe old oil since it was pretty late at night?) I cant speak for the seafood myself, but she expected better than what she got. OVERPRICED"

  • "I will say my husband's food (steak and potatoes) was right on the mark. I ordered fish and it was pretty good, but was served so hot that by the time I could actually eat it..the fish was very overcooked. I do appreciate that the food was hot, but this was over the top. I would think twice about going again. There was a mix up with our reservation and they were nice enough to seat us, but I almost wish they had rescheduled us after they tried to pretty much demean the reservation because it came from Open Table. The bar waitress could barely be bothered with us and at the end just tossed the bill folder on the table and walked on by. I do not need a lot of pampering, but I do like staff to be somewhat glad that someone is at their table."

  • "Food and service were top notch. If you are paying this amount of money for a steak it better be exception and it was. Great martini's as well. Also one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had!"

  • "I thoroughly enjoyed this place. It was a break from the seafood fest we were enjoying on our trip. Amazing steaks, great wine, wonderful atmosphere. We were held up 30 minutes by a parade, they held our table. Definitely will return when I get the chance."

  • "Yes, we've been to Mr. John's. And Dickie Brennans Steakhouse. And Mortons. We've been to all the renowned steakhouses ~ and the obscure ones, too ~ here in town and the Chophouse is simply the best steak in the city. The food is perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is old-school steakhouse, without being formal or cheesy. And the service is professional and friendly. Plus, did I mention the steaks are the best in town?"

  • "We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. Of course steak was in order, they have huge portions of steak that is a great option to share. We ordered baked potatoes as well and they mixed all the ingredients right there at the table. They offered fried lobster on the menu which was something different then most steak houses. It was absolutely delicious! Also to make his birthday that much special, they brought him out a piece of cake with a candle and a birthday card. I thought that was really special. They went over and beyond to make sure our dining experience was nothing under the best. We will definitely be visiting the Chop House again for our special dining experiences."

  • "A little pricey but well worth it. I travel a lot for work to every major city, trying out new restaurants constantly. This was the best steak I have ever had. I ordered the large filet. I can't wait to return"

  • "Food was outstanding but took longer then expected to get to our table. The tables were close together and made it a little hard to walk around. Overall experience was satisfying."

  • "I found an advertisement for this restaurant in a magazine and decided to try it out. We love the steak houses in NOLA. This was by far the choicest meat we have had. The wait staff was EXCELLENT! Loved everything about it - we will be back!"

  • "This was my second time at The Chophouse but first with my gf on an intimate and romantic dinner with just the two of us. The food was superb. The steaks were done to order and perfect. The server was very attentive and quick to response. No issues in getting seated even though arrived earlier than the time for reservation. Highly recommend and will be going back for future special occassions."
