This was a fantastic meal. we had a strip and filet and both were cooked perfectly, as well as being properly seasoned. The side dishes were prepared very well. The oyster's rockefeller were outstanding. The restaurant allowed us to pace our meal and we never once felt rushed or that the service was overbearing, although the staff was very attentive. Very nice atmosphere and a good bar that offers cigars for after dinner. Cheesecake was outstanding. Enjoyed the restaurant so much that this will become a must-dine place when in Greenville.

Fabulous steak and crab cakes. Everything perfect except asparagus Hollandaise. Hollandaise sauce was fabulous, but I would have expected younger, thinner asparagus stalks from such a fine restaurant.

I was very disappointed. I thought the food was ordinary with relation to the cost. Outstanding waiter and outstanding cheesecake (though that came from Carnegie Deli so how could it be anything but?!). I've had better caesar salads at Panera. The steaks were good but have had better. And their house mashed potatoes were watery and bland. Probably will not return.

wonderful-- though honestly- a bit pric"y" for instance: 7 dollars for that ceaser salad it was good- but........ i understand the ellite select perfect cuts and other food- still ???? service was great- food was wonderful ( besides the salad cost??) ambiance = perfect- other:loved that the sides are big enough for two-- however you are in the south you don't have ready made sweet tea??== sugar packets do not make sweet tea- however you are forgiven- since- i believe i love your place.

Wonderful experience. Delicious food. Steaks are cooked Pittsburgh style and served piping hot. The House Ceasar is excellent with the addition of almonds, etc. Creamed spinich was so-so. The bread divine. Overall service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing and knew when to make her presence known and when to disappear into the background. Wines by the glass, while good, were limited. Save room for the white chocolate banana cream pie. You'll want to share it with others.

I requested a table along the wall for more intimacy as we were celebrating our anniversary but they even went a step further and gave us a very nice, quiet, corner table. The staff was very attentive and offered us a complimentary champagne toast. We had steak cooked to perfection at medium rare and a bottle of Pinot Noir that was outstanding. I can't make enough positive comments to express my satisfaction with my dining experience at Chophouse 47 Greenville SC. PS I traveled 45 miles to eat there.

Best steak in town. Appetizers are the most unique of any high range restaurant in Greenville. Try the Oysters Rockefeller and the Oyster Shooters. Lobster is brought to your table, removed from the shell by the waiter and served on a warm plate...very customer service oriented.

I personally had the Prime Cut New York Strip and have gotten much better cuts from Outback and Texas Roadhouse. The plate that it was served on was so hot that my extra rare steak was more or less medium before I was finished with it. If I were going to spend that much on a steak, I would probably choose Stax Peppermill over Chophouse 47. Service was excellent, the food left a little to be desired.

The food and service were first rate and overall we enjoyed it. The only complaint I have is that we were initially seated next to the bar area where smoking was allowed. In fact, one bar patron was smoking less than five feet from us. We asked to be moved further away from the bar and, thankfully, they were able to accommodate us.

The food was excellent. We had steak, of course. My husband loved it, but I thought the charring was too much, but that's just personal preference. I want to return soon to try the crabcakes, as another table ordered them and they looked delectable. The service was outstanding, we wanted for nothing. Don't miss the cheesecake - hands down the best I've ever had!

There isn't a lot to say that hasn't been covered in the other reviews. The food is fantastic - we had the shrimp cocktail, steaks (how can you go to a steakhouse and not order one?) and the cheesecake for dessert. It was all cooked to perfection. The only negative to our evening was that we were under the impression that there was a dress code and there were a large number of other guests in hooded sweatshirts and shorts. So, I am not sure what "Smart Casual" means but when you are looking for a romantic evening or celebrating a special occasion, it helps when the other patrons are dressed for something other than the gym. I cannot recommend Chophouse for those occasions if what we saw on our visit is the norm.

The noticeably dim lighting upon entering is relaxing and gives a romantic feeling. The service is impeccable; my water glass was always full, plates were removed immediately by any passing employee and my husband's napkin was even refolded while he was gone to the restroom! I appreciate that attention to detail. The Chophouse 47 caesar salad was crisp and fresh and I had to hold myself back from sighing "MMM" after each bite. The cheesey mashed potatoes were not only flavorful and delightful but the texture in my mouth was like heaven. My New York Strip was cooked to perfection and the Apple Walnut Crip a la mode was the best dessert of it's kind I have ever had. The foam on my cappucino was rich and creamy. A+ the whole way through.

The bar is open to the restaurant and they must not have a good ventilation system as I have smelled smoke on every visit. But we keep coming back..you can't beat the food and service which are always excellent.

The service and ambiance were great. Somewhat dark lightening upon entry, but your eyes do adjust after 5 or 10 minutes. Both my Wife and I ordered the Petit barrel cut ribeye, along with the grilled onions and cheedy potatoes. Steaks were cooked as ordered and served hot, perfect!!!!. The side orders were served "family style" ( larger portions). A brillant idea. More restaurants need to follow that lead. Pricing was a bit "large, but I guess I'm not use to that scale due to the fact my father-in-law owns a cattle ranch. Overall: EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
