"Awesome experience. Our waiter Miller, was very attentive and anticipated our needs.This was our 17th anniversary and the staff really catered to us. The price for their steaks is high, even when comparing to our high-end, similar restaurants in Charlotte. The quality was good, but not that great. But, I will go back again when I am in the Greenville area. Cigar friendly bar is a big attraction for me."

"Very good overall. Steaks were great, side items were great, and dessert was great. Background music was even great. Pricy, but worth it on special occasions. We plan on returning!"

"Chophouse 47 is a classic steak house with prime cuts of meat (and chicken and seafood) served with a la carte sides. If you are a purist, you'll love Chophouse 47. They don't let anything outshine the great taste of a high-quality cut of meat. The sides are pretty straight forward (nothing too fancy), but they are not the reason you go to Chophouse 47. A bit pricey, but you have to remember what you're paying for... great service, quality meat and seafood, and an extensive wine list to accompany your choices. I've been twice now (when in the Greenville/Spartanburg area for business), and I recommend it highly."

"A 1940s-themed steakhouse with very courteous staff who tend to you without feeling overbearing. Steak-lovers must get the New York strip (done Pittsburgh-style "black and blue"). The bar area maintains a pleasant atmosphere with the lingering smell of good cigars."

"Chophouse is consistently good. There's never a surprise on the menu, but they food and service are high quality. My steak was prepared properly and seasoned to perfection. My wife enjoyed her Sea Bass, which was a huge filet. Waiter was not overly friendly and made a smart aleck remark here and there, but he did a good job taking care of us."

"This was my second visit to this restaurant, my first being several years ago. My associate and I were not disappointed as his lamb chops and my prime NY strip steak were prepared perfectly and tasted great! Our server was was very efficient and knowledgeable but she came across a bit too mechanical in her approach....not a huge issue but a little more personality would have been nice! Overall a wonderful dining experience."

"The food was outstanding as always! We were disappointed in the atmosphere as it was much lighter than it used to be in there. It totally changed the atmosphere for us. We liked it when it was dark. We live closer to downtown and will probably just go to Rick Erwin's from now on because it is closer and we won't be losing out on atmosphere. Chophouse 47' used to have a unique, wonderful, romantic atmosphere but the change in lighting has taken that away. Another change that was made that we are not happy with is only being able to get the chocolate cake in the giant size. It is our favorite dessert and we don't need a $16 giant size portion. Bring back the normal size for $8!!!"

"Excellent Dining. Best steakhouse in Greenville. Only Disappointment was we were seated in the booths in the main dining room that back up to the bar and we had to endure obnoxious cigar smoke throughout dinner."
