Diner Reviews
  • "Hard to complain about being over serviced, as the young lady server was certainly attentive, but to the extreme. Constant interruption of our intimate conversation was off putting. A fine line exists between inattentive service, and over service, but professional servers know the limits. The food was OK, but my NY striploin (at $34) was tough and chewy (sauce was excellent), the veggies were horrible, however the infused mashed potatoes were excellent. Desert was not as expected. A "chocolate soufflé" is a light, fluffy baked offering. While excellent, what was served was a slab of cold, dense chocolate cake."

  • "It was my first time to Chop, and I was very satisfied! Food was great, waiting time was minimal, and service was exceptional. I was expecting to have to wait quite a while to be served, and get our food, as it was Valentine's day and the restaurant was packed, but we were served surprisingly quickly, and there were no mistakes on the orders! I would highly recommend this place!"

  • "The food, the wine and friendly service!! For a bit of fun, under special request area, I had asked for a dinosaur drawing and a knock knock joke for our friend who was dining with us, we were not disappointed. The prices were higher than the other comparable restaurants in the area but portions were generous. The Yorkie appetizers are a must try!!! Just wish we were seated in the quieter dinning area in the back so our view was better than the Golden Arches of the McDonalds next door!! We will be back, but this time we will ask for a different drawing."

  • "This was my first time at Chop Steakhouse as I had heard it's quite expensive. Their participation in the Okanagan Wine & Dine with a 3 course dinner for $25 and a 4 course dinner for $35 was the perfect opportunity to try it and I wasn't disappointed! I chose the 3 course dinner and each course was excellent! I would definately recommend it and I wil return."

  • "everything was going great. The wine and dine menu was great value and very flavorful. But when Prime rib was delivered, items were luke warm. Baked potato was cold as well as side of vegetable I ordered with my meal. But presentatation, quality and service was great. Would come back and give it a second chance for sure. Just a little disappointed on food temp for main course."

  • "While the service was excellent, the food was just ok. When i dine out, I expect the food served to exceed the quality and flavor, I would cook in my own kitchen."

  • "This was my first time dining at Chop. First of all, we were told as we sat down that we needed to be finished by 8:00 because the table was booked. Not a great way to begin a nice evening out. The steaks ordered at our table were good, but overpriced. Adding the Chop Experience was needed to make it a full meal. For the price of the stake, the potatoe and salad/soup should be included. My prawn meal was not worth it. It was literally 3 prawns laying on a few beans with mushy grits all around it. Not enough food for $25.00 or for a satisfying meal. It looked more like an appetizer than a main course. Chop has potential but I think there is work to be done to match what we've experienced at the KEG in Kelowna."

  • "The only reason it didnt get get 5 stars was that there wasnt a rose on the wine lisr, and that might be a bit harsh. The whole group loved the food, and the service was excellent."

  • "The staff was friendly and had a good knowledge of th dishes on the menu. Phyllo wrapped prawns and grits were original and would be nice to see these on the menu all the time . Buttermilk roasted chicken was moist and rice pilaf and veggies were well done . White sangria is always a winner there so it was a nice addition to our meal. Large wine list with some wines I can say I would recommend . Yorkie prime rib sliders were a great appy great flavours only wish we had more room for the always good desert."

  • "Our server, Ally, was outstanding. Food was very good for three of us, but one person felt their steak was over done. Noise level was a little too high but we were able to hear our conversation. A great evening over all. Thanks."

  • "The food and service was exceptional from the moment we entered the front door to the second we left after dinner. I had the prime rib, which was cooked to perfection--very yummy and the jus complemented it perfectly. My husband had the teriyaki sirloin, which he also said was really good. He did say the steak was slightly more cooked than the "medium rare" he asked for but because it was so tasty, it made up for it. The service by our server was also great--attentive without being suffocating. Overall, like I said, everything was exceptional!"

  • "Another great experience at Chop Kelowna. Our waitress, although new, was fantastic and made our night. Chop's staff helped cap off another successful year. Happy Holidays"

  • "Arrived for supper at our reservation time a few minutes early; the place was deadly quiet. We had a 5:15 reservation due to a commitment after supper. The hostess was professional but had the personality of a cold fish. The server Holly more than made up for the sour hostess and the food was an added bonus. I rarely order steak when out for supper as I can work a BBQ pretty good; but the gamble paid off, the filet was dynamite. My gal enjoyed her supper right to the last bite; we even had dessert which is a rarity. By the time we left; there were a lot more people in the resturant and the atmosphere was vibrant and I woulld have enjoyed staying for a cocktail but we had a concert to attend. Will definitely go again; a solid 8 of out 10."

  • "This is a beautifully decorated restaurant but we went for prime rib and were only told there was no prime rib left after we'd settled into a fixed menu and had ordered wine to go with. A server ran a vacuum near us for about ten minutes during our dinner. Food was unremarkable."

  • "Crab tacos full of flavour always a favorite. Steak was tender and teriyaki sauce takes it up a notch in my books although the beef itself has great flavour the teriyaki here has great flavour and consistency."
