It was good so when my girl friend asked if I wanted to meet her for dinner Friday night, I made reservations at Chop. I got there a couple of minutes late and she was having the red wine sangria. I ordered the white so she could try it. We both ordered the filet with asparagus and mushrooms. The steak was cooked to perfection and so tender and lovely. The reduction was the perfect accent to the dish. Everything was delish! We both enjoyed dessert and lovely tea in the coolest tea pot that we both just had to buy! The service was excellent, the food was perfectly prepared, and the wine was superb. I would recommend Chop to anyone who wants a great meal at an excellent price. If you have never been to a "Chop" in Edmonton, don't waste any more time getting there. I have dined at Ellerslie and at the Sandman West Edmonton on Stony Plain Road and have never been disappointed. At first, the young lady that seated us said we could only order from brunch menu. When my husband made reservation, he specified that we would not like the brunch. But,, when our server arrived, he said there would be no problem... so was probably just a communication oops.... We had excellent service, the food was just wonderful, the young man that served us was very attentive. We arrived a few minutes early. We were seated immediately. We were give a private room so it was extremely quite. The server was very friendly, explained everything on the menu and made some recomendations (Eggs Benedict). The food selection for brunch was limited but since this was the Chop House's first time doing this, no big deal. It did not take long for our food to arrive. It seemed that the portions were small but after eating, were were not hungry. The good thing about this brunch was that you were not left hungry but you were not stuffed either. the staff was fresh and so enthusiastic, so accommodating and the food out of this world good.
It felt like we had all the privacy so we felt very privilegded but I would return there for any reason again.
This was an anniversary for us, the staff had a very nice card given to us that we hope to use for a return visit soon.

Food came out very promptly and cooked how was requested. A bit on the pricy side for what was ordered, but still tasty and enjoyable.
Only disappointing part was actually partially out of the control of the restaurant. Bad parents letting there kids run in and out from the patio (was sitting beside the door to patio.) I would say the wine pricing is average for Edmonton.
