  • "I would say that overall the dining experience was pretty positive with only a couple things that I would change. I tried the seasonal special with the sauteed sole which had a great coconut sauce on top and was accompanied by lobster mashed potatoes and bok choy. My husband had the pork chop. For sides we got the shaved Brussels sprouts and potatoes au gratin. All our food was delicious! My mother in law's medium steak came out pretty red inside so she had to wait a bit for our waiter to come back and then the original steak was recooked. She wasn't too thrilled as it wasn't as good recooked either. Our waiter was very apologetic and offered free dessert. Unfortunately the cheesecake was very flaky and we both were disappointed."

  • "The service was very good, the bread was delicious. My husband's steak was good but his mashed potatoes came out cold. I had the pasta which was filled with tender filet mignon and a couple of good size shrimp but the sauce was nothing to write home about. It was nice to have a salad included but again it was nothing to jump up and down. The peach cobbler we had for dessert was not hot either. We had a nice time don't know if we would go back though."

I got a fish (can't remember name) & it was also very tasty. We shared an order of brussel sprouts that were very tasty. Beautiful place & great service. It was summer time, so very quiet."

  • "On Tuesday, 6/17/14, my partner and I celebrated being together 40 years and being married 6 years; as well as our best friends were celebrating being together 8 years. Food was great. Two of us ordered the 6 oz Filet while the other two ordered the bone-in filet. One of the bone-in filets had a reasonable bone attached where the other filet had what we thought was an excessive about of bone attached. We brought this to their attention. We did get compensated for the excessive amount of bone. We always enjoy The Chop House and love the food."

I wasn't treated any different. Last year the restaurant across the street could care less and I felt second class."

  • "My husband & I were in Palm Springs celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary. It was restaurant week so we gave this place a go. We were a bit underdressed, but our server was still great, the food was awesome, and my all around experience was excellent. I would recommend this place if you want a upscale hot spot. "

  • "have always loved this restaurant, eating here about 2-3 times during the season, --- never thought much about the price as the food and the experience always seemed worth it. BUT this time the prime rib was very fatty for the price, the rib eye was not worth $42 (maybe $22!) and had little flavor. The seafood platter at $49 was about $10 overpriced for the quantity and quality of the seafood. I can get fresher( not dried out) and better, larger shrimp (12-15 count) at the local Alvertsons. The service was, as always, superb, however. The sides were just" ok"."

  • "We've eaten here for years when we come to town. It was a reliable staple for us. Our first visit this season and what a disappointment. Went with 3 couple's to celebrate a birthday. Meal started with escargot appetizer which was dry, rubbery and over cooked. Horrid! on to salads, iceberg wedge had an odd unpleasant taste. Lobster bisque was served between cold and barely warm. Entree, chicken was minuscule and just flat out bad. We ordered cappuccinos and they were cold, sent them back to be remade and the waiter brought them back microwaved. no foam and milk had started to curdle. $400 I wish I had back. "

  • "A lobster salad sounds wonderful, doesn't it? I can tell you it was the 12 most boring salads I've ever had. The 2 bits of lobster had no flavor whatsoever, and the salad looked like it had been put together by somebody's mother back in 1952. Very disappointing."

We enjoy bringing our own wine and the Chop House accommodates us with a nominal cork fee. I highly recommend this location if you're looking for an upscale dining experience. "

  • "As a local this is one of our favorite restaurants. We go there when we celebrate special occasions. It's a bit pricey but the food is consistently superior. Without a doubt.... Best on the menu is chateaubriand. Our favorite sides are the creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes although my family thinks they put a little too much pepper in the potatoes. The desserts are good too. We really like the Creme brûlée. It's located right downtown so you can stroll along the main drag, shop, or walk off your dinner. "

  • "Beef is the feature at the chop house. They have chicken, fish and pork but I go for the beef. (Admittedly, my wife will sometimes order the pork). We were with another couple and they ordered the tomahawk, a large (36 oz) bone in ribeye. My wife and I had the filet medallions oscar. All were excellent and cooked to perfection. We had an excellent server who also helped with the wine selection and appetizers. (Actually steered us away from one of the appetizers which she noted sounded better than it tasted. We were very thankful. She said it was the only thing on the menu that she did not recommend. I think it was the stuffed dates.) They have wines in all price ranges. Ours was reasonable and excellent."

  • "We went too Chop House to celebrate. I checked out the space - beautiful - and the menu featured Chateaubriand for two so I made the reservation expecting a special night. Our main course was delivered as we were having our salad. The server took it back and of course it was not warm when it was served. The chateaubriand was delicious even if cold but the potatoes were pretty much ruined. We ordered cappuccino with dessert which was never ordered by our server. We told him to forget it and just took the check. He told us the cappuccino wasn't very good anyway as if he was doing us a favor. Drinks were good and the place is lovely but food and service left a lot to be desired."

  • "The Chop House is an all around first-class restaurant. There is a great variety of types of foods, and food combinations. Another plus is that you can choose from different size portions. We arrived after a show, and so it was late. After our food was served, the chef waited around for us to try it to make sure everything was to our liking. Of course, it was perfect! Our server, Linda, was very knowledgeable about the menu, made great suggestions, was extremely friendly to boot. If you want a truly memorable experience, the Chop House should be your number one choice."

  • "Had eaten at Chop House several years ago and had a good experience. Hadn't gone back for a while because of reviews but then heard it was back. Took a buddy there for steak and that's what we got, Shared the chateaubriand for two which comes with a salad for each diner and a choice of two side. We chose the green beans almondine and lobster Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was alright but I could tell the lobster had been frozen although I wouldn't expect them to be putting the best in a side. The chateaubriand was cooked perfectly and the sauce bernaise had a excellent flavor. All and all I would recommend this for high quality we'll prepare steak. The waitress Casey was very sweet and knowledgable regarding the menu."
