  • "Their were 6 of us for dinner. Easy to get a reservation. When we got there they held our table while we had a drinks at the bar. Really enjoyed the food and had a very good time. We all would go again for dinner and drinks"

  • "CHOP is a great little restaurant in the Ocotillo area. Lively bar with great bartenders who mix amartini perfectly! Service is always quite good and just attentive enough. The food is my favorite part. Not too many places in AZ that can cook Swordfish and Scallops to perfection and with flavor. The Baseball Steak is quite good as is the Salmon. My husband can't wait to order their Wedge Salad with teh fresh crisy bacon an dchunky bleu cheese. A short dessert list but the Torte packs a punch with crispy flavor and vanilla ice cream. CHOP is a favorite destination of ours. Try it, you;ll like it!"

  • "We had dinner here to celebrate the birthdays of two of the guys in our group. Our orders ran the gamut from filet to scallops, and all were delicious. Great adult beverage selection and the desserts, while limited in selection) were super tasty! Also, we got great service from our server, Chris. We will be back!!"

  • "I am a swordfish nut, and I don't think I have ever tasted a better preparation than Tuesday night at Chop! It was prepared just like I requested, slightly underdone. The cilantro lime butter sauce was just the right compliment for the fish. My rating would have been 5 stars, but the accompanying green beans were too undercooked. Two of us had the swordfish and and both raved. The other person had a cheese burger which he said was good."

  • "All around great! We had a list of our usual restaurant to go to for our anniversary and then decided to try something new. So glad we did! We will be back for sure. Babyback ribs just fall off the bone and they have an awesome horseradish sauce for the prime rib. Great service (our server was Alicia). We went somewhat early and it was kinda busy and hopping by the time we left."

  • "A wonderful dining experience on this, our first, visit to Chop. The food was excellent. The server was very attentive. The Manhattan cocktail was the best we've ever had. Monday night is prime rib night - $30 normally, but special was $20. It was so tender and flavorful. The ribs were also delicious. The cole slaw was unique and tasty. Our only complaint would be with a problem using a Groupon. They made us pay $30 for the prime rib. No problem that it didn't qualify for a Groupon discount, but we spent over $60 without the prime rib entree figured in so asked if they would split the check so we could get the full value of the Groupon. They would not split the check. The reason I didn't give perfect marks. Definitely will go back, though!"

  • "We have frequented establishment several times and we usually enjoy our meals.. We appreciated being seated in an elevated booth this time. Receptionist and server were very pleasant. Server checked on our meal right after our steaks were served. All 3 of our steaks were more rare than medium rare. But we were afraid that it would be overcooked if we send them back."

  • "It was late Sunday night and the place was almost empty - too bad but they said it was spring break. The baby back ribs were perfect and they came clean off the bone with a fork, The pork tenderloin had a great mustard rub and sauce and was moist. And the baked potato we substituted for the fries tasted delicious. Service was fantastic - but then there were only 2 other tables occupied. Hope to return when there is a bit more ambiance."

  • "The Chop Rest is a great restaurant . It is a little to dark inside making it difficult to see the menu. Was lookiong forwrd to beginning my meal with a Shrimp Cocktail only to be told "no shrimp tonight" it was Saturday night...NOT GOOD PLANNING CHOP!!" A nice bread offering would have helped the meal (Firebirds, The Keg, Durants, Ruth Chris all have Great bread!!! Chop you missed it on this. Meal was good and tastee!! Martini EXCELLENT!!!! The dessert offerings could have been better majorly lacking in imagination and selection"

  • "Dish they are noted for which is pork chop dinner was not good. Sent pork chop back as it was pink inside and brought it back saying that is way it is supposed to be. Ate edges and very tough though flavor was good. Husband had rib eye and it was mostly gristle. Baked potato was best part of meal. Very dark inside, and tables very close together. Very disappointed."

  • "Chose Chop randomly off opentable's list for a valentines day make up date (stomach flu). The prime rib was the best I've ever had and steak was prepared perfect and was an excellent cut. Reasonably priced for the experience, would definitely go back and recommend to anyone looking for a romantic date or anniversary. Also good for a night out on the town."

  • "I had the chop it was great big but yet still moist,wife had the trout she liked it. Wish salad and app were a little bit bigger proportion but all and was good bye dessert time. We shared the pecan with ice cream. Very smooth and not like your normal crunchy pecan.This one melted in your mouth, service was excellent all staff friendly and very helpful a bonus in my world.Nothing beats not good or great but outstanding service. We were there with our 6yr old but they accommodated us very well. Thank you....will return."

  • "The food was absolutely delicious! We had the calamari to start, the sauce was spiced perfectly! We both had the filet, it was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. My fiance still talks about that steak! The desserts are made on location, not any of that frozen-reheated stuff other restaurants serve. Our waiter wasn't very attentive, in his defense it was a busy Valentine's Day night. Despite being completely booked for the night, our food came out hot and in a timely manner. The scene was dark and very romantic. We will definitely be going back!"

  • "Have eaten there before and enjoy the food and atmosphere. Actually on this visit the service was a little too fast. Our appetizer came out immediately after we ordered it, but as soon as we finished it the salad was served to us, and the main entrée quickly after we finished the salad. We would prefer a little more time between the courses. Still enjoyed everything and will return."

  • "This is the second time we have eaten at Chop Chandler. Both times we were pleasantly surprised. The food is outstanding! They have the best caesar salad I have eaten locally. As a die hard steak eater, I opted for their famous "pork chop". This is an amazing find. It has turned me into a die hard pork chop eater. A tender, flavorful double cut chop fills the plate. It is delicious. Substitute the cole slaw, no problem. They are happy to accomodate. The strawberry mojito, well, I could have had several more, they are that good. The only downside, (and this will not stop me from visiting again), is the service tends to be slow. They certainly could have increased our bill by offering more wine when the glasses were empty."

It was really loud in there, due to some intoxicated girls sitting next to us, but overall the ambience is very warm and romantic."

  • "The food was very good. We started with the wedge salad and the mixed greens. We then had the fish specials - a swordfish and the chop - a double pork chop with spaghetti squash ( the nights featured side) We finished our meal with the oreo ice cream sandwich. I am a chef my trade and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service wasn't stellar but it wasn't bad either."

  • "We arrived a few minutes early. Reservations for 6;15. Greeting was friendly and we were directed to bar till table ready. Bartender to busy to address us. Finally said what do you have. Ordered two drinks,table ready, moved to our table. Waitress made it to our table no introduction, We came into for the Thursday datenight special so I asked her about it, Before I had a chance to comment more she wiskede the menu from us and said you have a diffrent menu. How did she know we were not going to order from house menu."

  • "We have 7:00 PM table, but still wait for at least 30 mins. We already order wine and martini in the bar to bright to our table. our waitress is clod and not even provide service at all. Bartender even better then her to serve us more coffee later at night. We love the foods there, we have the date night dinner was great! ( first time )"

  • "I was really surprised when I walked into the restaurant and found it to be soooo dark!!! It was like being in a dungeon even though the décor and the subdued lighting was quite attractive. The food was O.K. My prime rib was seasoned quite well and the baked potato was cooked and seasoned very well. My husband said that his filet was good, but it did not look like a 10oz filet to me and instead of being an inch thick it was quite flat. His broccoli was not tasty at all with the parmesan cheese grated on top of it. It lacked character. The bread tthey served was horrible. Toasted sourdough bread? I know they can do better than that."

  • "We used a Groupon for our first visit to Chop. We couldn't have been more happy with this restaurant. Here are a few things to help you decide to choose Chop: 1. We went early on a weekend evening. The place is dark and cozy, with just the right amount of light, perfect for a date night. 2. Our table was ready on time. 3. Our waiter was impressive and suggested the specials and some of his favorites. 4. Get the Center cut, steak satay, and downtown salads..Oh my gosh! My husband thinks everything is "pretty good"...not tonight, it was "amazing". We were going to try the bread pudding, but just too full. Impressed! Go to Chop!"

  • "This is the third time I ve been to chop and the only time I've taken my family of 5 for a birthday dinner. The service was just ok I would expect better from a nice restaurant. We eat out frequently and I've gotten much better service. My sons food came out visibly burned on the top and I was very surprised it was sent out and I had to have it sent back!"
