While I live in Ballard, many of my friends live around the University District. U Village has restaurants, but all - with the exception of perhaps Piatti ($$$$) - serve marginal food. Chloe's food is delicious! Truly French food, right proportioned, beautifully presented, moderately priced. The wine list is small, but of good quality.
It's nice to dine on a white table linens, on a table that's beautifully yet simply set. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy good conversation, too, without having to yell! GO HERE as an alternative to the Village! Easy parking on the street, and much better food!
