  • "Priced a little high, but excellent food and service. Very prompt in delivery and easy understanding of buffet, drinks menu and types of meat. A little loud for a first date but great for family get togethers and anniversaries. Don't drink too much - you won't leave enough room for the food! Odd location but great valet service to offset. Have been a customer of Chima's for a long time, and will definitely be back!"

  • "This place is fanatic. Not only great location at Tysons Corner but great food (not even talking about the drinks). I've had Caipirinhas, Mojitos and was never disappointed with the quality of my booz. Then you have the huge salad buffet (they call it salad buffet but let me tell you this has everything on it) with charcuterie items, salads, beets, couscous, soup of the day, and warm side items such as potato au gratin. We usually have the full dinner (it is VERY pricey but worth every penny), pack our plates with salad and side items, sit down and start the feast. They then start bringing the fresh steaks, chicken, sausage, lamb, every way you like it. The best way to eat ever. I DEFINITELY recommend to try them."

  • "This was my first visit to Chima and it compared very favorably to other Brazilian Steakhouses I have visited. The service was outstanding, wait staff was very attentive and the food was excellent! Very impressed by the wide variety of items on the salad bar - there was truly something there for just about anybody who was not on a very restricted diet. The grilled meats were exceptional in variety, quantity, and quality. Everything was well prepared, properly cooked, tender and delicious. Had friends with us who had never been to this type of dining venue before and they were very impressed!"

  • "Our group went out for a special occassion dinner. It was our first visit to Chima. We went based on the reviews of others. It did not disappoint. We had a great time. The food was great. We thought we would skip the salad bar and stick with the meats, but the salad bar was too good to pass up. Plenty of variety, some funky items that were really good (gorgonzola mousse), and lots of vibrant vegetables. The meats that came to the table stole the show, however. Most were fantastic. Some cuts we saw on the menu were not seen in the dining room, but as soon as we asked our server, those items appeared at the table. We left very full and satisfied."

  • "The ambience of this place is good, similar to our favorite Fogo de Chao rather than Texas de Brazil in Fairfax. The food is overall a near copy of Fogo de Chao instyle, with a larger selection of meats. But the seasoning and flavor of many of the meats were not as good as Fogo de Chao. The price is similar, perhaps slightly less. The restaurant is very loud."

  • "If you like Brazilian steak restaurants, this one is very good. All of the various cuts of beef were delicious. Although other meats are available, beef is the what they do best. The salmon was way overcooked, but hey, if you want salmon, you shouldn't go to a steakhouse. Also, great wine list at a decent price. The service is top notch and very friendly. This was my fourth time dining there and its been consistently great."

  • "Dinner at Chima never disappoints! Such an array of meats and an endless salad bar unlike any other restaurant in the DC area. Large wine list and delicious caipirhinas. Plus, free valet parking! Fogo plays second fiddle to Chima on all levels. If you aren't familiar with Brazilian rodizio-style dinners, look it up on Google so you know what to expect before you get to the restaurant. It's a lot of fun and a lot of delicious food."

  • "We dined on wednesday march 26, 2014 as a party of 4. All we ever saw was the sausage, and pork guy. The filet mignon never came until we asked towards the end and he never came again. For the dinner price of 52.50 per person i expect better cuts."

The service was on point for the entire night...the servers were popping up constantly but were not intrusive in any way. A bit of advice...make sure you go on an empty stomach...there is so much food to sample! We would definitely go back again."

The soup was absolutely delicious. Price was high. Not sure $35 for soil and salad items was quite worth it. Would probably prefer a plated dish, since I am not a large eater."

  • "We took my daughter and friends to the restaurant for her 21st birthday. The reviews we read were very positive although I must say our experience was much less so. The salad bar was wonderful (and should be priced separately), the meat was abundant but not great, the fish serving was adequate, the drinks were expensive, and the service was not great. For the price, we expected so much more. Very disappointed and will not recommend it to any one we know."

  • "If you want to be wined and dined, this is not the place for you. If you want to feel like you are attending a buffet wedding, then Chima might be ideal for you. My husband and I have dined at many of the fine steakhouses in our area, and Chima fell short in this area. After being seated, you will have to get up and get your own food at the large salad bar which served mediocre tasting food. Once you are seated, servers will come to your table and slice your meat. Prices here are high. Also, if you do decide to book here, check your bill very carefully. We ordered three alcoholic drinks, and Chima charged us for four. Save yourself the trip and skip this restaurant...it's all hype and not worth the price."

  • "This was our first time we tried Chima. We just wished the server, who did asked if this is our first time, explained how it worked. Nevertheless, we could have enjoyed the experience much more had they spent time explaining the salad bar, hot bar with sauces for the meats, how to get the Gauchos to come and serve the meat, etc. When we left, we wish we could have done things a little differently (get the sauces for example, which we were not aware of until we finished) for a more enjoyable evening."

  • "We have enjoyed many meals at Chima's in McLean; we love the extensive variety of food options at the salad bar and meats and fish delivered by the gauchos to your plate. But this time topped the charts. The service providers were excellent. They stopped by regularly--without being intrusive--to ask if we wanted a specific type of meat, brought clean plates several times to see if we wanted one, refilled water glasses regularly, took orders for additional beverages before the one on the table was empty, and took care of us in every way. The servers and gauchos were in top form, making our meal extra special. I highly encourage you to consider a meal at Chima's. It is a fun experience."

  • "It is a fun place to go out with a group. The salad bar is amazing, and the waitstaff come around with various types of grilled meats. Although the price for a sitting is high, the waiters come out frequently, and the quality of the food is excellent. If you compare the price with other buffet type establishments offering lower quality fare, you might think Chima is overpriced without giving it a chance. However, if you compare the restaurant to other fine dining experiences where you would order appetizers, salads, and entrees a-la-carte, you will recognize that you are not overpaying for this restaurant."

  • "We went to Chimas to celebrate a Birthday. The service was perfect. I can't find a single negative comment to say. It was everything you could want in a restaurant. The server took our picture when I told him we were celebrating a birthday. He gave my son a complimentary piece of cake. He developed the picture and framed it. The food was delicious...cooked to perfection. The ambience was great until a group came in and began taking pictures of themselves and became extremely loud. Several tables around them began to complain. We were finished and ready to leave, so it only affected us at the end of our evening. I would definitely return and that another large group would not be dining the same night."

  • "Overall the food was good nice place decoration etc. . I think the drinks are way over priced 16 for a watered down margarita is ridiculous. Our service started out rough, not the greatest . Wobbling table and our server was not attentive in the beginning we had to wait to order drinks for a while and didn't know if we could go start serving ourselves at all. Mind you we had never been there before so was not sure what to do. And our waiter was busy off doing other stuff. Our bus boy was more attentive then our server. The rest of the staff was good. We were told we would get the staff to sing happy birthday but they didn't just brought a cake with a candle and lit it up rushed."

But, the ambience was not... people were loud and the music isn't best suited for romantic dinner. When it comes to food... Chima offers less meat variety and also salad bar is small compared to similar restaurants in this area."

The service was fast and attentive, and the food was up to par. Other than the location not being a hot-spot, it was wonderful! We loved it and even ordered dessert , although it is not included in the buffet. Great datenight!"

Servers are very attentive and the moment you finish what's on your plate, they come up with more meats to offer. I made the mistake of trying the sides and salad bar, so by the time I tried 3 different meats I was already full. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Everything was mouthwatering."

  • "Make sure you come to this place with an empty stomach! You will be very full after all the unlimited stake that you can eat. You also have the salad and side bar for each person it was 50ish and I used my $20 coupon by signing up for the email list, there is also 18% tip included just so you know . Use there free valet parking instead of parking in garage you will pay if you stay for more than an hour $3 in the garage. GREAT PLACE IF YOU LOVE WINE ! GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE."
