Chima Brazilian Steakhouse - Washington
All of the waiters were veryAll of the waiters were very attentive. Great atmosphere.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I celebrated ourMy wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary here. Our waiter Oz was fantastic as was the rest of the wait staff. The gouchos were readily there to provide the fantastic meats and the salad bar was awesome. I would recommend Chima to anyone.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA Special Place For Special PeopleLove the food and atmosphere. Bring your love one.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers DaysChima is wonderful for special occasions. We always enjoy the food and the salad bar is amazing. However, it is very expensive, hence, an annual event.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day DinnerFirst time to dine here and we were not disappointed. Salad bar was out of this world! Plentiful with lots of delicious, fresh choices that you wouldn't normally see on a salad bar.
Wait staff was attentive without hovering. Meat selections were excellent, well cooked and flavorful. Definitely will return, but save for a special occasion, as it is a little pricey, but well worth the money.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMstuffed...The food is Great steak ribs chicken all types cant go wrong with Chima take her there if you want to impress her. It is a little pricey 58$ per person but well worth it 5× better than Feugo de chou except for the salad bar that could be better.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent RestaurantThis was my second time going to Chima Steakhouse, in part because I wanted to ensure that the restaurant was as good as it was the first time. I can honestly say that this is now one of my favorite restaurants! The quality of the cuts of meat they offer are superb. The salad bar is always stocked. The drinks are delicious. The ambiance is excellent.
I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and excellent serviceThis is my second Brazilian steakhouse and Chima is the better one. Food is great and service surpassed expectation. The meat never stopped coming. The waiter got us the meat we wanted when we thought we had to wait. We asked for water, expecting tap water, and was surprised that we were charged $6.50 a bottle (about 1L). Don't remember seeing that on the menu. Otherwise, had a great time. Will definitely go back again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day DeliteAnother great dining experience--the meats and salad bar par escellance.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticI brought my fiance here for her birthday dinner, among with two very good friends. We were all blown away by the quality of the food. While we are all fans of Texas de Brazil, we do find the meat there oversalted; not the case at Chima. We will definitely be returning.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place! This year, I chose to go to Chima to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary. As always, we had great service, great food and a wonderful time. You can never go wrong at this place.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's DayTook the family here for Mother's day. Eating here is more than just going out, it is a great family experience! The food is amazing and plentiful but the bets part is the fantastic service. You don't have a server, you have a team of servers and the meat chefs. The kids loved trying all the meats and found the swordfish to be a real treat.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMimpressed. ..This is my second time at the restaurant, and I still haven't found a dislike with chima!! Great food, drinks, and ambiance. ...5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMeatlover's paradiseSaw the menue on line and could not resist to give this place a try. In retrospect perhaps not the ideal romantic place for our anniversary , but it was a totally different experience and worth every bite. We will defiantly come back with our kids and a group of friends. Did not care about the large screen TV showing some kind of concert - the volume was turned off and all we saw was skinny women - not something I want to see while eating a month worth of meat! Turn off monitor or have the sound on! The waiters seemed to be frantically roaming around the room - left me wonder a bit about the quality of the food.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent meal and service.Excellent meal and service. Salad bar can be purchased alone or in combination with the meat and fish selections that are brought to your table. The full meal, salad bar and meats is $50. Well worth it. The salad bar is probably 75 linear feet of fresh garden and seafood salads, cheeses, vegetables, soup, beans, beats. Well you get the idea.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeI took my fiance here for his birthday and we absolutely loved it! The atmoshpere was so romantic and the service was impeccable! We definitely plan on revisiting very soon!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCustomer serviceOverall experience is great! Only one thing, we felt so embarassed by the receptionist who guided us to our table. She is so tactless when she said I being the female guest should be sitting against the wall and not my husband. But my husband is suffering from back pain. She made my husband look so ungentleman? Why? She should not be suggesting to guests which side of the table should a man or lady sits. Just show the table and let them feel comfotable. And let the guests know that the food server assigned to their table will be available in a few minutes.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner for oneI usually dine at Chima with a group of friends, but this time I went by myself. It was just as great. The staff was very accommodating and I had a delicious virgin caipirinha.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMI love Chima! My boyfriend and I have been to Chima 3 or 4 times this year and it never disappoints! The food is fantastic and the staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely opt for a reservation on the weekends- it gets really crowded- and go with an empty stomach!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe salad bar alone is enough. The salad bar alone is enough. Everything was fresh. The service was very good.Very nice setting. I would go to this restaurant again and again. This is a great place for a special occasion. Be prepared to eat. The deserts were very good.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingThe food, service, ambiance, and noise level was all perfect. This was my first time their, I was there with my family (a group of 6) and we were attended very well. I will be returning to Chima again.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI say that this is a goodI say that this is a good place for a special occasion because of the price. Three of us dined for $230 including a tip. It is all you can eat salad bar and carved meats, but just how much carved meat can you justify for everyday dining? The meat tends to be on the salty side. The vegetable rice was flavorless and the black beans were not too great either. The vegetable soup was actually vegetable puree. Texas D Brazil is much better (beans and rice are really good and the Lobster Bisque is outstanding).4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial OccasionService is superb! Selection is spectacular! A great way to celebrate a special occasion!!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food loved the buffetExcellent food loved the buffet style of bringing meats to you. Customer service was great...everyone helpful and attentive...definitely a one team environment and it shows...my boyfriend actually said it was almost way too nice as a joke. We were both impressed and will definitely go back. It was his first time and my third. Outstanding!!!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMhave been coming here forhave been coming here for years now and the service has always been great. The food is excellent, my favorite aside.from.the endless meat is their salad bar. Tried the creamy vegetable soup for the first time, loved it!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThey wanted us out - rushedFelt extremely rushed by staff. Before we even turned our cards around they piled around our table. Noticed many unpleasant gestures and plenty of finder pointing from staff. We were only there for 1 hour and 40 minutes and they wanted us out (party of 5). The restaurant was not even crowded. I've been at this place many timnes, but now I'm more disappointed than ever. I called the manager, MArk, after I left to communicate my concerns.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMStill good but has become priceyStill great dining experience but a $10 hike in the price is a bit over the top so we now have to think twice before going as we are already light eaters. However, I do still highly recommend dining here as the quality of the food is very good and the servers are very attentive. The salad bar is the best.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA Job Very Well Done! Our group was thrilled with the quality of the food (including the salad/soup bar) and the outstanding wait staff, which was not only helpful, fun and friendly, but knowledgeable about the food and wines as well. A job very well done. Thank you!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were great dessert was fantastic!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a party of 4 and ourWe were a party of 4 and our first visit to Chima. We enjoyed everything from the time we were seated and the actual dining. The food and service was outstanding. We would definitely recommend Chima as a place of outstanding dining and service and would definitely return for more delicious dining.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMI think they should have moreI think they should have more variety of food in the buffet!
Like in the Brazilian barbecues!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the first time myThis is the first time my wife and I had been here and we had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Definitely will come back again.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWell worth the time and money.Well worth the time and money. Great experience and I will be going there more often now.
The meat was so good, most of it just melt in your mouth.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMChimas was an experience!Chimas was an experience! The meat was outstanding, especially the house special, and the service excellent. Don't let the fact that there is a buffet salad bar fool you - this place felt like a top notch gourmet restaurant - and the salad bar was the best we've ever seen.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMChima has a very good saladChima has a very good salad bar followed by a selection of Brazilian meats that are brought to the table. We have been there many times and each time the food is very good!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent RestaurantAmazing food and the staff very courteous, friendly and professional.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, service is great.Great food, service is great. Very nice staff except for the hostesses who are rude and slow.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy Easter !Fantastic place to dine. Our family enjoyed the special Easter Lunch that included Face Painting and Goodie Bags for the kids.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely awesome. The foodAbsolutely awesome. The food was excellent and you really could make a dinner out of the salad bar alone. The service was wonderful and the service was great! The only thing troubling was where to enter if u r not familiar with the area. What we thought was the front of the restaurant was actually the side of the building. They need to put adaquate signage so people can see it from the car when they arrive. This was the best Brazilian restaurant we've ever gone to. We'd love to see this in New Jersey.A little pricey but well worth it. If you are not a meat lover or don't really eat that much, you can choose the unlimited fish which I did. I wasn't as expensive and was just enough without going overboard. Excellent !!!!!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place was awesome. WhereThis place was awesome. Where do I begin? From the time we got there, the Valet attendants and hostess were all friendly and accommodating. Once we were seated, our waiter(s)were very attentive, informative and knowledgeable. Our waiter (Ahmed) went above and beyond to make sure that we truly enjoyed our experience. The Rodizio style of serving came out quickly with plenty of meats, fish etc to choose from. The servers also heeded our requests of "no sauce" on the BBQ ribs which we really appreciated. The food was so good and the service was so quick that on several occasions, we had to stop Rodizio. From the drink recommendations to the Tirmisu, everything was simply fabulous and we will be dining here again.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Churrascaria outside of BrasilI love going to Chima. The food is always good. The variety of meats are fabulous. My favorite.. buttered herb filet mignon. Our waiter, Oz, was fantastic!! We had a great time and left filled to the tip of our tongue. Oh! Don't forget to try their Caipirinhas... Spectacular! I guess the only negative thing I have to say is they don't have Brigadeiros for dessert, and being one of Brazil's signature sweets, I wish they would.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's exactly what I expectedIt's exactly what I expected for Brazilian BBQ. Delicious meat, great salad bar and great service. I received a call from them the morning of my reservation but they didnt leave a message. When I looked up the number of the missed call I realized it was them and called back. I confirmed my reservation and they asked if there was any special event going on, so I told them it was my boyfriend's bday. They said they would provide a complimentary tiramisu and would sing happy birthday in Portuguese. The only downside to this is I had to remind them when I realized after our meal that it wasn't going to happen unless I said something. They accommodated immediately though and my boyfriend and his family loved it.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, the rodizio meatsAs always, the rodizio meats were very tasty and the salad bar complemented it well.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommended - delicious!I was introduced to Chima through a work holiday dinner and was so impressed I couldn't wait to take my husband and daughter there. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is top-notch. It's a place we'd only be able to go to on a very special occasion though, as the price tag is too high for the average family dinner. To get the full menu which is just the salad bar and rodizios (meats), it's $49.50 per person. There is a salad bar only option, but at a steakhouse, the meats are what it's all about. All else (except ice water) is extra. For 3 of us, having the full menu, 3 sodas, sparkling water and no dessert, the total bill (which includes 18% tip and tax) was $204.
We highly recommend Chima - you won't be disappointed!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMNot totally authenic, but deliciousWe are Brazilian BBQ addicts! Chima is our favorite for the "could-die-for" goopy potatoes. Although we like somewhat better the more authentic salty flavor of the meat, diners not used to Brazilian flavor may prefer the less salty version served at Chima. It's delicious either way!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLove your salad bar. My brotherLove your salad bar. My brother and family always love to dine at your restaurant when they are visiting us. It is a fun way to dine.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent meal, atmosphere,Excellent meal, atmosphere, and overall experience. Richard was our waiter and was extremely helpful as this was our first time attending Chima. I would definitely recommend Chima to anyone who wants to have a great dinner and overall experience.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous selection of meatsFabulous selection of meats and the salad bar was awesome. We spent the night there for our 3rd Anniversary and had a great time. The only thing was it was rather noisey and you could hardly hear your companion. Great food and service though and will definately go back only this time with friends.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is outstanding. I couldFood is outstanding. I could go for the salad bar alone but my husband and 3 sons also adore the meat. Only quibble is with the noise level. Perhaps if they turned down the music a bit. It's not even as if they play Brazilian music to set the mood. The loud music just causes everyone to speak louder, diminishing the ambiance of a great restaurant.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service butGreat food and service but pretty pricey with the dinner entree for sat night being $50 per person plus drinks3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
