  • "Have been to a variety of churrascarias in the US (including Fogo de Chao) and abroad. Found the ambience at Chimas more intimate--despite its size. Loved the wine list on the iPad. The detailed descriptions allowed is to choose an amazing Malbec to complement our meal. Our wait staff were very attentive. Knowing how easy it is to "overdo it," I did not eat any bread but loaded up on the salad bar. My meat (lamb, ribeye and salmon) became a "side dish" rather than the main course. I actually did leave room for dessert--a wonderful tiramisu. Everyone at the table raved about their food and dessert choices. Yes, Chima is a little pricey, but I loved the under-stated elegance. Will go back!!"

I would recommend this place to all who love quietness, friendly, and an excited pallet. My friends loved the steak with garlic and the salmon, as well as other things they tried."

This was a fantastic dining experience from an all-around perspective. The food is something special. The hand-carved meats are excellent and the service makes it a comfortable dining pleasure."

She was accessible ... she came to our table multiple times checking to see if everything was going well, she was outgoing and discussion at the table with her was not limited to how the restaurant was doing, and she made the party feel that they were the only ones in the restaurant. Three cheers for the manager. I wish I had gotten her name."

  • "This restaurant was very cool. The service was top notch! There was a salad bar where you could make a salad but moreso grab some items that might compliment the meat. The meat is served right at your table and very quickly. These are people who come around and bring appetizers to your team and ensure that they remain full throughout your meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any carnivores."

  • "We actually didn't know the format of the restaurant and hadn't been there before, so we weren't expecting the serve-yourself theme. I found the salad bar to be unexceptional and the meat fairly plentiful but not especially great. I can see the attraction of the place for diners who like large quantities of meat, served in unadorned fashion, with "sides" of fried bananas and other fried vegetables. I would prefer a bit more subtlety and didn't really appreciate the sheer quantity for the fixed price of $52.00 for dinner."

  • "This was my first time here and we picked this restaurant for my birthday. We arrived 10 minutes earlier than our reservations but got seated immediately. The salad bar was very fresh and I could have been full off of that alone! But I made sure to save my stomach for the real protein :) The servers were so fast and the hostess walking around was so efficient, she made sure we tried everything we wanted. Seriously, I'm blown away by the customer service here. Everyone was so friendly and quick. The dessert menu was also tempting but we decided on the toffee cake finally. Absolutely delicious! Not to mention they surprised me with a tiramisu cake for my birthday for free :) It was the cherry on top. Best dining experience by far."

  • "Chima is one of my favorite restaurants. Met Chima first in Fort Lauderdale, Florida many years ago. Heard they were opening in Philadelphia near where I live and was estatic! I go to Chima Philadelphia about once a quarter and each dining experience is better than the previous one. The Wait and bar staff is excellent and friendly always there to help plus my glass of Diet Coke is never empty. This visit met the new manager Cheryl who is just a wonderful, friendly person beyond belief. She came to our table to ask if everyting was alright and fully introduced herself and made us feel like "family". Based on my ever great experiences with Chima, going back this Sunday with a party of 4 to celebrate one of the member's 50th birthday."

  • "We had an incredible evening at Chima. We went on a Thursday night to celebrate my son's birthday, my son, my husband, my daughter and I. The food was simply incredible! An extensive salad bar, delicious appetizers, a variety of drinks and desserts, and of course the endless supply of meats cooked to perfection. But the amazing food notwithstanding, what was especially noteworthy about Chima was the wonderful service. It was attentive and accommodating without being overbearing. The staff included a complementary dessert for my son, and the manager herself even came out to take a group photo for us, which she then framed as a free souvenir. All and all, we couldn't have chosen a better restaurant or had a better evening."

So much good food–too full to enjoy ANY steak, which is why we went in the first place. When we asked to take the few leftovers on the table, staff refused until a manager agreed. We were NOT taking steak home, just a few generously applied appetizers."

  • "Came here for my birthday dinner around 7pm...Mostly all the food was fantastic although I did find some meats to be a little dry but that won't stop me from coming again. The salad bar had a nice variety as well with several different fish, cheeses, salads, and lunch meats. The rodizio service was a bit quick though - the servers kept on coming one after another rather than a few minutes apart. It was a bit overwhelming but I did receive a free slice of birthday cake and we ended up having a great evening! The host was very informative and took good care of us."

  • "We dined at this restaurant last week. The staff was very pleasant & helpful. My only issue with this restaurant is that the service of food was way too fast. If I am spending $130 plus on dinner, I would have like to sit and enjoy it a little more. As soon as we sat, the servers were right there which is great but as soon as you turn your clip over for meat, it was like a revolving door (one right after another). I could have turned the chipped over but we were afraid to miss the meat that we were looking for. It was just very fast paced. I want to go to dinner and relax, not for it to be rushed. My only suggestion is to slow down and not hound the guest. I felt they were watching me eat the whole time. We were there for only 30 minutes :("

  • "Myself and 3 others dined at Chima for the first time last Friday and it was great. The service and food was awesome. Nicholas was our waiter an he was very attentive and was quick to get us what we needed. There were several chefs walking around serving meat but the best chef was Marlon. He was working the entire restraunt, over 20 tables but he always remembered what we liked and how we liked it cooked. At the end of the night the staff brought dessert and a candle to sing happy birthday to our friend. They even took our picture and framed it for us before we left. Thanks to everyone who made our friends birthday experience a great one."

  • "My wife and I went to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary, and I must say, everything was exceptional. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere! Huge selection at the salad bar, and more than enough meats to try with dinner, we left there stuffed. We tried most everything that came, and kept going back for the cajun ribeye, baby top sirloin, filet with garlic and I also enjoyed the parmesan encrusted pork loin. When you flip the disc over to be served, it seemed like someone was there every minute or two with something different, very attentive! All the staff were very polite and attentive, something you would expect from this caliber of restaurant. Would definitely return again!"
