  • "Eating here is more of an experience. Trying all the different meats was fun. The salad bar was interesting. It was not your typical lettuce and toppings. We had a great time, but probably wouldn't go back for a while. It's more of a one time thing because of the experience and the cost."

  • "This was our first time at Chima.We enjoyed it very much but would probably not go back any time soon.The food was excellent and plentiful; the all-you-can-eat salad bar was like no other salad bar we had ever seen.It had literally everything from soup to nuts. Every single item was fresh and delicious. The meats were wonderful with our favorite being the parmesan crusted pork. With that being said, it is much too loud. It's a fun restaurant but it was hard to talk to each.If you are looking for a nice, quiet peaceful dinner this is not the restaurant for you. We did have a few concerns but our waiter dealt with them quickly and to our satisfaction.I would not go to this type of restaurant more than once a year."

  • "I visit Chima's often and have always loved it. However, I decided to visit during Queen's Feast and it appears since they were offering the meal at a much lesser price, the quality of meats seemed to match. The ribs and lamb were not in its normal abundance."

  • "I have been to Chima's several times. I would rate my last experience as average. We were seated upstairs and it was uncomfortably hot during the entire dining experience. In addition, the lamb chops which are my favorite was only average. Not as delicious as I remembered. Not sure if this was because it was during restaurant week but I was somewhat disappointed but willing to give them another try."

  • "This is our fourth visit. It is the first time we sat upstairs in a the far right corner. At first I was not happy with the seat but after being there a few minutes I realized it was a great location. We were able to hear ourselves and have almost what felt like a private meal."

He just seemed preoccupied and it was just a blah experience in regards to the service. It took me over 20 minutes to get sausage to our table. I had to ask 3 people."

  • "Chima's was a great experience. We arrived 1/2 hour ahead of our reservation. The Hostess seated us at least 15 minutes ahead of our reservation. The waiter came over, explained the serving choices, the way food is served in a Brazilian dining establishment, what was on the salad bar, and then took our drink orders. We were kept topped off on tea. Water glasses never were allowed below the half empty level. Food was excellent and plentiful. It had a unique combination of spices and cooking time. It was flavorful, what was supposed to be spicy was, what was mild was just right. This is a restaurant that is casual PRESENTABLE dress. Wait staff was excellent, always on top of everything without being overcrowding. A fine experience."

  • "The food was good but the service was not. I know it is Restaurant Week and very busy, by now Chimaz should expect the craziness after spending years doing restaurant week. We had to ask 3 times for lamb, they never provided BBQ ribs, and all they kept bringing was chicken. The menu stated they had about 8 different meats available but about 80% of the time they only offered us chicken. I don't think I will be going back because it's not worth the money."

  • "No other restaurant has such consistently good food, every dish, whether it is a meat carved at your table or the varied salad bar. We love it, especially during restaurant weeks. However, it is so very noisy that conversation is all but impossible. We wish they would give some attention to sound attenuation; it would make them much more appealing and higher quality… and then qualify them too on the list above as "romantic"!"

  • "Unfortunately, not realizing it, I chose Restaurant Week to take my daughter and husband to Chimas. Poor timing. The waitstaff was so incredibly busy, we had to ask twice for them to bring out fish, and twice for them to bring out filet mignon. The sausage and chicken was free-flowing. When the fish and filet finally came out they were all overcooked. We also had to ask two times for water refills. While the salad bar was probably one of the finest I've seen, the meal pricing was far overpriced for a person to only enjoy the salad bar. Most disgusting was that guests were not offered fresh plates after they finished their salads. I specifically asked for a fresh plate and the waitstaff looked at me strangely. Décor lovely."

  • "I overall really enjoyed our night at Chima's, but the greeters are very rude and inconsiderate. I was taking my 75 year old grandparents out to celebrate and valet parking was not yet available so my husband had to find parking. There were 6 in my party and 5 of us where there. My husband was the 6th person and was trying to find parking in a very crowded area. They refused to seat us until he came in. They could see that the restaurant was crowded and there was no where for my grandparents to sit and they still made them stand in the lobby waiting. The greeters talk to you like you are beneath them and are overall just RUDE.Once we made it past them things were better. My waiter "Joseph" was one of the best ever and the food was great!"

  • "Went with my boyfriend for the first time after hearing from all our friends how amazing it was, and they were right! The food was amazing, everything was beautiful on the salad bar and the meats were cooked to perfection. The only complaint I have is they sat us alllll the way in the back of the house right near the kitchen entrance so we were in a "high traffic" area which was a little annoying and once we didn't order anything other than water to drink, our server wasn't really on top of us. We had to ask for plates a few times and tried to find him when we needed something."

The management stepped up and provided an exceptional benefit to make sure we were happy. They gave us a managers card and told us we could use it in the future to participate in the "restaurant week" pricing. They also did not charge us for anything we ate or drank that night. They certainly have my business in the future!! I wish other businesses were as customer service oriented. The food we did have was excellent and the service was very good."

  • "Charlotte's queens feast restaurant week - and Chima offered a significant discounted price - and everyone in Charlotte was there. It was packed and busy, Chima even opened the upstairs dining room. We've been there many times but were disappointed with the food and service during restaurant week. Some meats were dry and over cooked. Service was lacking because the waiters and servers were very very busy. I think Chima exceeded their capacity and it's hard to maintain quality while serving such a high volume. We will return but not during restaurant week."

  • "We dined at Chima with friends this week taking advantage of Restaurant Week while trying somewhere we had not previously dined. The place was packed as to be expected and we were seated a few minutes earlier than our 7:15 reservation. The service was attentive and very good. The "salad bar" was excellent and offered many choices not commonly found in many restaurants. I applaud Chima for offering regular items on their restaurant week menu as so many of the restaurants feature items to meet the required price points and may not be otherwise on their standard menu when you return. The gauchos frequently came to the table with the various meats. All were very good but the Parmesan Pork was awesome! Definitely will be going back again."

Salad bar was amazing ! It is well worth the splurge to try this place out. We have been to other Brazilian steakhouses and none have came close to Chima .We love it!"
