The next trip was on a business dinner and my client had eaten at other Brazilian steakhouses before but he was very impressed with the attention to detail from the staff, the "fall all over you" attitude but not over doing it. They would replace your water/soda/tea without you even noticing they had done so. Crumbers were used after each visit by the staff and the FOOD boy oh boy!! They should offer wheel chair service to get you back to your car after you finish. A friend of mine recommended this one. It was my husband's birthday so I decided to surprise him. We drove from Columbia, SC and I must say it was well worth the drive. I wanted to try something different and this certainly lived up to that. We were very happy with our selection of Chima it was exotic and entrancing. We experienced great service by all, the food was fresh, and very tasty, it is not for everyone because not everyone will be willing to try something they have neither seen or heard of before, but if different is what you are looking for this is it. You can request your meats to your desired tastes whether rare or well done. I have never had Swordfish before and am lucky to have had it taste so good on my first try. It is perfect for a special occassion or no occassion at all the meats alone were well worth the price. I have been to a few other Brazilian steakhouse type restaurants before and although I've had better better this place was very good. It may be the better than what I experienced but we showed up a half hour before the place closed. For being there right before close however the service was still excellent. The service is top notch and excellently trained. The wine list is extensive and the staff are knowledgeable on pairings and can make suggestions if you aren't sure. The appetizers served are hot and succulent and set the mood for the main course, the rodizio. Even if you're not a large meat eater or in a group with a vegetarian the salad bar is more than enough to satisfy. The meat is the star of the meal with 16 different selections from sirloin to beef ribs to chicken. All perfectly cooked to your liking whether you like it rare or up to well they have it the way you want it all perfectly seasoned. All the good was great. They seemed to have a very nice wine list as well. The biggest thing that set them apart from other Brazilian steak houses was the fact that they asked if we were wanting a particular cut of meat and how we wanted it cooked. The salad/food bar is excellent, and any vegetarian or light eater would be very happy. The meats have an excellent variety and have always been cooked perfectly (we like medium rare, but you can select whatever you like). The restaurant is kid friendly for well behaved children (restaurant manners) and it is unique enough that they will find it a favorite (order them a special lime drink). The only thing I would like to see changed is to move the salad bar away from the guest tables. Quality of food is what reigns supreme here. The meats are cooked exceptionally well, and the servers are able to customize your preferred "doneness." The salad bar is very good also and even offered some unexpected items such as soup and rice. Service is very attentive but not overly pushy. We were especially impressed with the electronic 'order' pads the servers use. It seemed that the wait for wine, dessert, or anything was minimal due to their use. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and Chima threw in a few dessert. I would highly recommend it. I have always been a big fan of Brazillian restaurants & Chima's are among my favorites. The only downside is the new "commercialism" of restaurants, where singing some derivation of the birthday song is required when celebrating a birthday. I think that group singing is great for lesser scale restaurants but after a certain price point, you tend to expect a more serene environment to match the ambiance and financial expectations of your dining experience. So our night was full of revelry from prom guests and birthday celebration songs.
