Chicken and the EggExcellent restaurantGreat service and delicious food. Highly recommended5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat farm to table restaurantWe went for Mother's Day brunch. No Buffett it was order from the menu but the food was great. It is in the same shopping complex as Gabriel's - not 5 miles out like their website states. We loved it though and will return.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat West Cobb had been waiting forFinally a great spot for Brunch in West Cobb! A very wonderful surprise, we'll be going back many times I am sure. Great fun, excellent service in a modern diwn home style interior. We only did Bruncj and will try Chicken and Egg for dinner soon. A great spot - highly recommended!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for Mother's Day brunch.Went for Mother's Day brunch. Four adults two children. Very enjoyable.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food!Everyone at our table was extremely happy with everything we ordered. I had ordered eggs, bacon and grits which were about the best grits I've ever eaten, but I had food envy over my daughter's salad with pieces of fried chicken in it. I grabbed a piece of chicken when she wasn't looking and would have taken the rest of it but I was caught! Now I'm anxious to go back for dinner to order the fried chicken. Also we shared the 3 puddings for dessert and again, they were fabulous. The banana pudding was wonderful and the chocolate pudding was a semi sweet chocolate that was incredible. The ambience was very nice as well, you'd never know sitting inside that the restaurant was in a strip mall. I can't wait to go back!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Time Dining HereWe read many positive reviews before coming. We arrived at 5:30 on a Thursday evening, so it was very quiet. We were given the option of the Thursday special menu ($25 for two: 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 desserts). It would have been a bargain but the food was lacking. The chicken-fried steak was mostly breading and sinewy. The pork schnitzel was just OK. The pimento cheese appetizer and hummus appetizer were outstanding, as were the banana cream pudding jars. We will be back, but will definitely go with the regular dinner menu. Our server was attentive and pleasant; the wine was well-priced.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistentWe have enjoyed Chicken and the Egg many times. The food and service is consistently outstanding. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Love the drink choices too.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFanastic Food and Service!!Richard was our server and his knowledge of the menu was impressive, they change the menu seasonally and it had just changed and he recommended perfect dishes for us! He really was a terrific server!! We ordered the mushroom toast and fried oysters for appetizers and they were both delicious! I don't even like fried oysters and I loved these!! Our table orderd the hanger steak, fried chicken and the scallop dinners and they were all perfectly prepared and delicious! We got our desserts to go and ate them later in the evening, the key lime cheesecake was the best! The chocolate with a hint of mint was very rich and yummy!! We will definitely return!!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great service,Great food, great service, welcoming, homey feel. Great food, reasonable price.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server, Steven, was mostOur server, Steven, was most attentive and efficient. The brunch menu selection was extensive with exciting special for the day. $5 Bloody Mary's at brunch, too. Who could ask for more?3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Friday Night Date!I was pleased to hear that we were permitted to bring our own wine and there was no corkage fee! We started with the black eyed pea hummus and caper tapenade, it was served it toasted pita chips; however, I wish they would have also had some carrot or celery sticks as well. We then proceeded to share the steak which was cooked to perfection! The crispy steamed green beans were a nice addition but I was disappointed with the mashed potatoes. They were far too cheesy and had sort of that artifical boxed-mac-and-cheese. The shrimp and grits were also fantastic but were not quite spicy enough for me. The service from Richard was outstanding and his menu knowledge was impeccable! I will definitely be back.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunch experience. VeryGreat brunch experience. Very attentive service. Reasonably priced3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Marietta ChoiceExcellent restaurant. We had 5:45 PM reservations, got lost, called, and were seated at 6 PM without any trouble. Farm to table concept with environmentally friendly vibe. Scallops, Mussels, and a salad for us and each was delicious. Nice open ambiance as well. Great find.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMA definite must goThe food and service was truly outstanding. I had the short rib, my wife had the country fried steak, both were excellent, though I have to say the frid steak may have been the best I've had. We also started with the pimento cheese, and the special app of the day, pork rillette. Both were also excellent. The only slight let down was dessert, it did not seem to match the truly cared for quality of the meal. I will still give this five stars because the food really was that good ad we will be returning for sure. Excellent overall job!!!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food in town.Excellent food, wine and great service. Our second time here. We ordered the shrimp and grits. It was delicious! One the best of the best dishes I ever have tasted. We wanted to lick the plate.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
