Diner Reviews
  • "Nice atmosphere. I was disappointed with the brunch items--eggs benedict and grits were barely warm upon arrival--for 3 of us. But the spinach and artichoke dip was unusually good. It was nice enough to visit with friends, and a very friendly waitress would bring me back for another try. Maybe next time I can give a great review."

  • "Don't have to fly in a plane Chicago right in East Cobb. I had the best fried green tomato appetizer I've ever had. Easter brunch with an extensive menu something to please everyone."

  • "We eat here annually for Easter and enjoy it every year. I do recommend reservations. This year, we had the french toast, a veggie omelet and a Denver omelet. We also had mimosas. All the food was delicious, the staff was attentive, and friendly. The atmosphere was very enjoyable for brunch. "

  • "We have dined at Chicago's over the years and always find their food and service to be outstanding. They have a great Sunday Brunch and the Prime Rib on the Dinner Menu is and always has been Excellent! "

  • "This was our first visit to this restaurant. Everything was delicious, such a great menu, has everything, you couldn't ask for more. The service was excellent. We will go back many times--they have specials which is an added incentive."

  • "Our server, Kate did a wonderful job. Very friendly and personable and spent time talking with us and our niece, visiting from Ohio. Food was delicious. We had the cheese tortellini with shrimp in a tomato cream sauce, the prime rib, and crab tostadas. All were great. Service was timed perfectly and dinner was great. Would definitely visit again."

  • "We had a family birthday celebration at Chicago's this week and it was the best ever! Our server Lori was the sooo nice and attentive, going out of her way to made our evening extra special. The food was excellent, items such as fish tacos, chicken piccata, fried shrimp, and steak salad,.... yum! plus save room for the chocolate cake,,,, it does not disappoint. Glad we finally tried it, we will sure certainly be back soon!"

  • "This was our first visit as a party of 4, and we were all more than delighted with the great cuisine and menu options. Our server was outstanding and most accommodating to help the birthday celebration go very smoothly! We were given a nice large booth so we were able to hear one another very well, even though conversations were bubbling everywhere. You could sense everyone's pleasure in being there--just an all around nice atmosphere about the restaurant. I would recommend this place in a heart beat for anyone who wants great food and service! We thank you!"

  • "Took the family for my wife's birthday. There was an issue with one of the dishes but the server did an outstanding job of recognizing it and making things right. Chicago's is the kind of place you can bring the family to laugh and tell stories or sit down for a quiet date night out. We'll definitely be going back."

  • "We go for the fun experience on Friday night when they have music. The music is live and always good! Jeni and her group are our favorite. Food is good and great friendly service. It's always fun! Noise level was high because we were in the bar where the music is....we choose that."

  • "We've been going to Chicago's for years and the food has always been consistently excellent. Can't say I've ever had a bad or even mediocre experience there. Martini's up with an olive stuffed with fresh blue cheese are superb. One of the best restaurants in East Cobb, no question"

  • "well to start off, we were seated approximately 10 minutes after reservation time. the calamari appetizer was excellent, I personally had their shrimp and grits, it was okay. although the hostess was a bit rude and they had some fella playing guitar or something in the bar, with a few tweaks I think it would be a great restaurant..."

  • "Chicago's is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Food is consistently good, and the staff is exceptional. Especially tasty menu items include cream of mushroom soup, fish tacos and ossobuco."

  • "We've been twice, consistently excellent, the bar was busy but efficient. The wait staff was excellent, food (prime rib and trout) as good as it gets. Chicago's has been around for a long time (some of the staff we talked to have been there 20 years) so don't look for a room full of 20 something's and lots of kids ... grandkids maybe."

  • "Since our first meal at Chicago's in 1996, this has been our favorite restaurant, primarily for the quality of the food, but also for the enjoyable dining experience. The staff, even with the frequent turn-overs restaurants experience, has been consistently well-informed, courteous and pleasant....always assuring our comfort and satisfaction. We have many house guests and all specify that Chicago's is the restaurant they don't want to miss on each visit."

  • "Came here years ago and had a lovely dinner. Moved away and back again and looking forward to a nice meal. Unfortunately, this time we were disappointed. Not in the service - it was great! Not in the ambience - also great. Our disappointment was in the quality of the food. There were 4 in our party; each had a different entree; the only one happy with his meal was the one who ordered the filet mignon. I had the beef tenderloin tips - and they were NOT tender at all; very chewy and grisly. One ordered the seafood skillet and pronounced it bland and flavorless and the 4th ordered the rib eye steak, which was tough. Very VERY disappointed in the quality of the food. Good food is why we dine out, so we WILL NOT be going back. Very sad."

  • "My girlfriend and I decided that we wanted to get out of the house for the evening, and we decided that a steak was what we both were craving. We settled on Chicago's as it wasn't a place that either of us had been to before, and we thought that it would be worth trying something new. The food was OK, average at best. We had the mussels as an appetizer and that was probably the best thing from the night. She had prime rib, and I had the ribeye, and neither of us walked away impressed by it. The prices were reasonable for the steaks, the drinks were good too, but ultimately I think both of us kind of wish that we'd stuck to one of our old standby's."

  • "Food was very good. Blackened Ribeye, Shrimp and Scallops. Drinks were outstanding (lemontini, Yummy!!!). Server was gone for long periods of time. Very nice though. Long gaps between bevs. We had a very nice experience overall."

  • "Ben was our server and did an excellent job describing meals and options available from the menu. Meal was timed perfectly between soup, salad, and entrées. Birthday dessert was a piece of chocolate cake that my husband devoured. I tried the carrot cake and it was delicious. Found out the carrot cake is made by the owner's wife. Looking forward to our next visit."

  • "Second time at Chicago's, both on Saturday nights. Very nice variety on the menu, good selection of nightly specials, and never a rushed feeling. A little noisy to carry on a conversation in a booth, especially with an elderly person in the group, but with an environment of energy and fun within the restaurant - folks having a good time with their friends and enjoying good food. If the live music is of interest, plan on visiting the bar as that's really the only area where it could be heard very well - didn't disturb our dining, but didn't really enhance it either."

  • "Even on a busy night where the wait staff was on roller skates, we still felt as if we were the only diners in the place. I thought that Ben, our waiter was outstanding. Always attentive and gracious. Great place, great food, great friends. Enjoyed it very much."

  • "It's all about the dessert at Chicago's in Roswell. My tilapia was great, salad fresh, but it was all just to leave room for the dessert. Loved the creamy icing and moist cake. That's why we came back."

  • "Love Chicago's. Always great food. Like getting there early for the early bird deals. My favorite dessert is their creme brulee."

  • "Chicago's never disappoints. I hadn't been in some time and they've redecorated - lovely. Contemporary, clean lines. Best martini besides Joey D's Oak Room. Hands down. Great food, fresh catch was wonderful. Service was great. Server checked in with us appropriately, but never overbearing. He even brought me a piece of chocolate cake with a candle since it was my birthday - after my hsuband mentioned it. :)"

  • "My husband and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day on Saturday. We arrived early, just so we could have a drink in the bar. The bar was packed, which was great to see, and our table was ready at the time requested. Our waiter, Ben, remembered us from previous visits and not only was our service excellent, but so was my prime rib and my husband's petite filet. They were each cooked just as we had asked and our baked potatoes were perfect. The restaurant was filled with more people coming in, but the kitchen on its game and so was the wait-staff. As usual, a delightful evening!"

  • "Went on Valentine's weekend, so it was VERY busy. Glad I used Open Table to book a reservation. Server, Chris, was attentive and on spot with his timing. He made sure we never felt neglected and that our meal was prepared and moving along just as we would like. We had the crab tostados as our appetizer, they were AWESOME! Fresh crab meat mixed with just the right amount of cilantro and red peppers on top of the crisp tostada chip and topped with a slice of avocado. Yum. I would go back for those alone. My husband had the prime rib, he said it was well cooked and had a great taste. We took the dessert special, german chocolate cheesecake, home with us and my husband said it was delicious; creamy, smooth, and rich."

  • "At the last minute on Valentines Day my wife and I decided, "Let's go out!" I found an open spot at Chicago's, and it was such a great time together. Our server Kyle was super! The vibe was exciting, but not too noisy, and the crowd was encouragingly diverse. The entertainment was really cool to hear in the background and the older crowd (he was playing oldies from different genres) was "ramped Up"!! We would definitely go back and take some friends with us. To feel more of the excitement on the weekend I would get a table in the middle of the restaurant on either side of the divide (you'll see). Great time!!"

  • "Three of us had dinner after the big snow and ice storm for V'day. Although the seafood truck hadn't arrived by our dinner time, we had no problem having the prime rib and filet."
