We were greeted with the opportunity to eat indoors or out and decided to eat outside. Although there were some smokers outside, the tables were spaced such that it was no issue to us as non-smokers. Our server invited us to order an appetizer to start out after bringing our drinks and we explained we were out on a date night and the entire service was then extra-relaxed so we could thoroughly enjoy our food without the impending arrival of the next course. The waiters and bus boys were very attentive and the waiter knew the menu very well. We had raw oysters for an appetizer, which were a wonderful. The steak fillet I had was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. My fiance ordered the seared ahi tuna that comes with wasabi mashed potatoes. The tuna was actually seared and not over cooked and the potatoes paired well with the fish. My only complaint of the experience was for dessert we had this chocolate cake with mousse and it was not moist enough. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The various stages of done requested were each achieved to perfection and the sides were amazing. The food is wonderful and exactly what you think of when you think steakhouse in Chicago. The service was without question attentive without being intrusive.No water glass ever got past half empty and the bread basket was filled with fresh, warm bread. My daughter stepped away from the table and in the few minutes she was gone, her napkin was folded, her drink refilled and her flatware replaced. I cannot express adequately the level of care. The main dinner room is romantic and cozy. The owners are constantly walking the floor checkng on guests and make certain everything is in order. The steaks are tender, juicy and full of flavor. The side dishes are big enough to split. It is the service that keeps us coming back again and again. Yes.The overall experience was absolutley outstanding. When was the last time the Owner of the restaurant greeted you? At this restaurant everytime I have been there I was greeted.. And all other customers were greeted too.
The server was very attentive to our every need. The King crab was superb, and the bone in Filet was mouth watering. "I am hungry for this Filet just writing about it" Every element of dining here was excellent.
If you eat here you will not be disappointed. You get what you pay for..
