I've been in town for close to 30 years and when we first started going to Joes the food was second to none and the service was so fun and exciting! Those were the good ole days. I don't go there nearly as often as I used to.

The long and short of it: hadnt been here in a while. Service was slow to get order taken. We had to actually ask! Once that happened everything started rolling but still...the waiter had NO sense of urgency. Soup was very cold. Entrees were hot and tasty.

Soup and salad were really good, but both lasagna and fetuccini were too salty. Since it´s not on the Strip, taxi took more than half an hour to come and pick us up, despite frecuent calls from our kind waiter.

I have been coming here for 30 years, the food is great. Meat sauce is the best, a very unusual shrimp Parm that is delicious. If you try the bread you won't want to stop eating it. It is a small friendly local place near downtown that gets crowded some night so make a reservation. The prices are vert reasonable in a town where prices have gone crazy. I try to go there every time I am in Vegas.

My husband and I tried Chicago Joe's on a whim. I've lived in Las Vegas for over twenty years and had never heard of it. I am truly sad that we only found it now because the food was to die for, the service was excellent and the tomato sauce is the best I've ever had. The resturant is small since it is in a converted house so I would recommend a reservation. I will definitely be returning to eat at Chicago Joe's.

My wife and myself decided to eat dinner with one of our daughters and her date before going on to First Friday in the Arts District of Las Vegas. Chicago Joe's is an old established restaurant in the area so we said GO!! We have not been there for years but had fond memories of it in the past. We were disappointed. The pastas were all overcooked and mushy having been drowned in mediocre sauces. One saving grace was that the seafood portions did seem fresh and they were tasty. Surprisingly poor service and the place was close to empty. I guess we know now why we don't go there anymore - funny how you typically only remember the good...

I went with two other ccsd teachers. The atmosphere was quaint. The room was quiet so we could talk. The food was actually really good. Ihad mussels diablo, and the other ladies had linguine. The garlic bread was great. EVERYTHING was really good. I would go back, in fact my firend and iI have an 8 year anniversary coming up and I am going to suggest this place to him. It might become our NEW romantic restaurant. Parking was easy, we just went behind the building. Also, it was first friday and it didnt make traveling or parking at the restaurant difficult at all.

The cozy little cottage that houses Chicago Joe's gave me hopes that I was about to enjoy a quality meal at a family-run Italian red sauce joint. While the fun, kitschy vibe inside is great, and the servers are decent (though a bit inattentive), the food is just meh. I couldn't help feeling I could have made a better meal myself by boiling some spaghetti and heating Prego meat sauce to pour over it at home.

From the outside it may appear questionable as to whether you actually want to eat here. The restaurant is in an older, quite weathered house. When we walked in the front door you end up walking right into the dining room. The host walks from the back to welcome and seat you. Awkward. However, once seated and you take in the room you'll realize what a special place you're in. The server was nice and pleasant, although he did deliver me the wrong sauce on my linguine...it didn't matter. The food is FABULOUS! My husband had the lasagna and that was even better. We also indulged in an appetizer, wine and dessert. Everything was fantastic and to top it off quite affordable. We will absolutely be going back and would recommend it to everyone.

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. I had the lasagne and it was excellent! Bread was delicious, the garlic dressing on the salad was the best. I did feel the salad needed a bit more toppings though. Service was really good. I've been here for both dinner and lunch. I liked the lunch better only because my dinner party was 6 people.
