Chicago Cut SteakhouseLovely dining experienceWent to dinner expecting it to be good but it was superb. Food was fantastic, service attentive but not intrusive and pricing expected for Chicago. The only drawback was being a visitor to the city I was not aware how often the train would come through to drown any conversation. What the restaurant controlled was perfect but would suggest they consider asking patrons if the train sounds would be disruptive to them. We requested a table by the window.and were graciously accomodated. The view was spectacular and the room warm and bustling, but not too loud. The service was good, the food excellent. I liked the fact tha tthe dinner menu had options at different price points (although we all ordered steaks!!) as did the wine list. The files, the skirt steak and the delmonico were perfectly cooked and presented. The scalloped potatoes and lobster mac and cheese were great. Let me say the service by the staff was impeccable. They were very attentive and so courteous.
But where they really shined was the great steaks and food. The flavor was awesome, the cooking and grilling was perfect.
They have outdoor seating and I would recommend trying for that if possible.
So I would go back once I visit Chicago again.

Our table wasn't ready at the reservation time but I've worked in the restaurant industry and you can't always control how long guests dine, especially at the prices they are paying in fine dining. It rivals them all. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. The food is stellar . The sides are great as well. The asparagus in particular was grilled to perfection as was the massive twenty four ounce bone in ribeye. The Cajun seasoning was spot on and the steak was succulent and flavorful. It was jam packed, but we were lucky enough to get seated right by the window that over looked the river. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The food came out very quickly, and was delicious. They presented everything very well and even gave us a complimentary cake for our anniversary! I had the fillet and my husband had the New York Strip. My fillet was just as they described it would be, as i had requested medium-rare-plus. It was very juicy and just melted in your mouth. With all the upscale steak house chains now, there are not too many real Chicago steak houses unique to Chicago. Chicago Cut fit the bill. Did it ever! It was a little noisy, and the room much smaller than I would have thought. But the steaks and sides were superb. I've been to most of the premium steak houses in Chicago, and really this place (its hard to imagine)is a cut (no pun intended) above. My friend fom NYC had whitefish (I guess he is into a health trip or something). He said it was superb. The rest of us had steak: NY cut. We all agreed they were excellent and cooked exactly as requested.
