Chicago Cut Steakhouse redefines Chicago's steak-centric dining scene with signature USDA-certified prime beef, which is hand cut and dry aged on site. A variety of made-to-order cuts are joined by eight different fish options, shellfish, chops, an array of hearty side dishes and more on the extensive dinner menu. The restaurant also serves the city's best "power breakfast," as well as a dynamic lunch service featuring carving stations in the bar area with prime rib, ham and turkey. Chicago Cut's expansive surroundings feature a lively bar area framed by dramatic wine display cases; vibrant red velvet banquettes and spacious dining tables; and sweeping views of the Chicago River. A sprawling outdoor patio lining the riverside attracts diners throughout the day and well into the evening.   • "Our service was phenomenal. I've eaten at Chicago Cut a lot and I absolutely Love the Bone in Filet but I must say, this time around, it wasnt as great as it normally was. It was actually pretty dry even though it was cooked med rare plus. In hindsight, I probably should have sent it back. I was a little disappointed as this is my favorite and I always order it but on Sunday, it just wasnt up to par and for a $70 steak, it should be PHENOMENAL! Service A+++++"

  • "Everything about Chicago Cut was perfect. We were seated on the patio - not too close to large groups as we were only two. The waiter (Justin) was so polite, knowledgeable and gave us our dessert on the house since the wine was late. They have an iPad for their drink menu which was really cool and the food was delicious. Nothing too fancy - I knew what every ingredient was and the meat was delicious."

  • "My family all raved about their entrees! Filets, bone in rib eyes and chicken parmasean. Everything was delicious! The service was excellent from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. This was our first time dining here. We had a 9pm reservation. We waited about 15 minutes. Most of our party waited outside while my dad and I had a martini at the bar. We were celebrating my mom and daughters birthday. My son, who has many food allergies, was taken care of wonderfully. The only drawback was the noise level. The restaurant was full. My mom complained about the noise. But as the guests began to leave, it was more comfortable to hear and speak to each other. I would definitely like to dine outside next time."

  • "My son had graduated from Navy Boot Camp and we had decided to have dinner here. Not only was the steak top of the line but the service was over the top. We were treated with warmth, precise attention and was loaded with the best the service ever received. Thank you so much for this awesome experience which made our day that much more special. Steak Cut Steakhouse is by far the best restaurant experience in Chicago!"

  • "Not my first visit to CCS but for sure the least impressive. My first complaint simply is the noise level. Absurd. A conversation among four of us at a square table was a shouting match. Next is the chopped salad: chopped so small it almost seems pureed, too much dressing, and simply too little substance for the price, even after chicken was added (an extra cost). Our wait person was initially attentive than not so much. The time between soup service and entrees was too long particularly after first course was cleared and still another 15 minutes before the next course. With all the staff flitting around, you would think CCS can do better. Not your finest hour."

  • "Went to Chicago Cut for the first time when some relatives were in town. We got a nice outdoor table right on the river with a fantastic view! Unfortunately, it started to rain, but the staff quickly and efficiently moved our table (food and all) to cover under an awning, but still with a view. Food was delicious and enjoyed talking to Matt, the managing partner. All staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Overall a fantastic experience."

  • "We had a fantastic time at Chicago Cut Steakhouse, we had requested a nice table as we are on honeymoon from Ireland and we were given a fantastic table outside over viewing the Chicago skyline. From the moment we arrived we were given the warmest of welcomes and we met with the manager Paul who went above and beyond to give us some tourist tips for places to see while we were in Chicago. All the staff were lovely and it shows as the place was buzzing. The food was out of this world and we would highly recommend anyone visiting Chicago to check this place out."

We are a group dine out frequently and we all agree their Lobsterscagot was one of the best sinful appetizers we have had in a long time. Butter, ton of cheese, and lobster. What!!!!!!!!"

  • "Perfectly shucked east coast oysters to start out. Fantastic steaks perfectly done with a traditional Chicago style char on the outside. The wine list was fantastic on a touch screen pad and had a great price range. Our server Justin M was extremely knowledgeable and helped us choose sides and wine to compliment the meal. Fun little key lime desert perfect for a summer birthday to end it all. This steakhouse is a gem."

  • "I've eaten at a lot of the great steakhouses in Chicago and elsewhere. I had high expectations since I had heard such good things about Chicago Cut. However, I was disappointed. I had a Filet Mignon, which had a heavy char flavor that really overpowered the steak and I couldn't taste much else. My husband had the bone-in Filet, which had a bit more flavor, but still was extremely char-heavy. We had the truffled scallop potatoes, mac n cheese, and grilled asparagus as sides. The asparagus was good, mac n cheese OK, and the cheese/bacon topping on the potatoes was very good, but the actual potatoes were lacking. Just nothing memorable. Berry cobbler a la mode for dessert was excellent. Overall, there are far better places in town!"

  • "The Service, Food, Wine List, and Ambiance were all at the highest level. I had a group of 5 attend lunch with me we all talked afterwards about what a wonderful place this is. The wine list is long and very deep. Steaks were amazing and cooked to perfection (I suggest the Cajun rub. Mind Blowing). The appetizers were not for the dieting or health nuts, but oh are they worth it. The only disappointment was that it was too cold for us to eat on the patio which overlooks the river. Would have loved to enjoy all of this in that setting. Definitely going back on a warm day to give the patio another shot and sample more amazing dishes. THIS IS A MUST VISIT ESTABLISHMENT!"

My guests who joined me for lunch were a little overwhelmed at the sizes of their portions, but raved about the taste and presentations. Great job! I'll definitely be back."

  • "My wife and I were told to visit your restaurant. Friends of ours said it was the best Steakhouse they have ever been to. The food was good but not for the price we paid. For the price, the food was poor. The meal was extremely expensive for what it was. We loved the view and sitting outside on the river surrounded by all of the buildings was awesome."

  • "This is a great spot for Sunday brunch. The patio along the river is delightful. The food is excellent (the complimentary beignets are practically a meal in themselves). The noise level outside is perfect. (Inside for dinner you can hardly hear yourself speak) Excellent eggs benedict and eggs, hash browns, grilled asparagus and choice of meat (bacon, sausage, chicken sausage or huge portion of ham) for $10 is hard to beat."

  • "The first impression is very good. It is definitely a "seen". The drinks at the bar were good. When we sat it appeared all the server was interested in pushing us to order a bottle of wine even though we obviously were still working on our cocktails. Literally every two minutes she kept asking if I chose a bottle yet. When I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc she suggested a Sancerre which was double the price; I didn't take her advice. Of course, when we ordered our meal our server suggested ordering the Lobster Mac & Cheese. What was more disconcerting is that the steak was no better than "Good". For these prices the steak should be "Great". If you are in the mood for steak there are a lot of better places in Chicago."

  • "My husband and I went to Chicago for a quick get a way over the weekend and decided to eat at Chicago Cut. It came highly recommended and after eating there I can see why. We ate outside and the view is spectacular. My husband had a steak and he said it was the best steak he ever had in the city, the only complaint I had was I ordered fish and it was over cooked. We had great service and were very satisfied with the evening. I hope to be able to get there again before it is to cold to eat outside."

  • "I HAD RESERVATIONS FOR 9 PM THAT WAS THE EARLIEST I COULD GET THEM, I CALLED BECAUSE I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO GET IN THE PLACE FIRST TIME THERE. WE WOUND UP GETTING THERE AT 9:18 PM AND WERE TOLD THEY TOOK OUR RESERVATIONS OUT AND WE HAD TO WAIT ANOTHER 20-30 MINUTES, IT WAS MY HUSBANDS BIRTHDAY NOT HAPPY, WHEN WE GOT OUR STEAKS AFTER WAITING FOR AT LEAST 45 MINUTES THEY WERE NOT EVEN HOT, THEY WERE COLD AND NO JUICE AND I ORDERED MY NEW YORK STRIP MEDIUM AND IT HAD A CHARCOAL TASTE TO IT, NO JUICE AT ALL WITH OUR STEAKS, I WAS NOT GONNA SEND IT BACK AND WAIT AGAIN FOR ANOTHER ONE WE WOULD OF BEEN OUT OF THERE BY MIDNIGHT. SLYDERS WERE GOOD. THE MAN WHO HELPED US WAS VERY NICE AND WE LIKED HIM ALOT."

Appetizers and salad were exceptional, steak was on par with other fine steak houses. The tables are much to close. I was bumped a number of times. The noise is so loud you can harldy hear the people at your table."
