Food was great and wait staff was earnest, but poorly trained and hurrying about. Ambiance is noisy and the place lacks charm. Most off-putting was the fact that the man and woman who served as maitre d (presumably the owners) never spoke a single word to us. When we came and gave our name they looked at us as though we had 2 heads, then turned to a computer screen for a full minute, after which they motioned us to a table in the rear (never uttering a single word). When we left, they totally ignored us on the way out.

Some friends and I had dinner at Chiboust before a show last Friday. This was my second time there and again found the food and atmosphere was terrific. I had the chicken stuffed with porcini mushrooms. It was delicious. Two of my friends had the salmon with roasted cauliflower which they both thought was top notch. The pizza is also different and excellent. Our only minor issue was that our waiter was new and didn't know the menu as well as he should have. However, the owner came to our table and clarified everything. She then continued to stop by and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall, this is an excellent restaurant that has the added advantage of being right across the street from the Tarrytown Music Hall

We stumbled upon this when visiting Tarrytown and now use Tarrytown as a base for a lot of area visits just to come to Chiboust. The food is imaginative but approachable, and always delicious. The service is good and the waitstaff knowledgable. On our last visit the winter vegetable risotto, with carrot juice, was unexpectedly wonderful. Don't miss Chiboust if you are anywhere in the vicinity.

Three of us had pizza and salad. The wild mushroom pizza was fabulous. Thin crispy bottom topped with just the right amount of fontina cheese, and then with lots of interesting mushrooms and crispy garlic slices. I started with a very nice roasted beet salad. The waiter was very good.

I chose this restaurant because of their pizza menu. My husband and I both ordered an individual pizza and an order of mixed (sweet potato and regular) fries. The pizzas were very good, but the sweet potato fries were shriveled and overcooked, so only the regular ones were edible. We shared a dessert and each coffee. The above items plus three beers came to $90 with tip. Which brings me to the Splenda: when I pay $90 for dinner, you better darn well have Splenda for my coffee, not shrug your shoulders at my special request among the "so many choices out there" in artificial sweetener land. Pros: the bread before dinner was pillow soft and perfectly brick-oven charred and the pumpkin cheesecake was fluffy, light and awesome.

We enjoyed the drive up from Brooklyn, enjoyed the Autumn foliage along the way. The restaurant is beautifully designed in a modern way. Service was very professional and efficient. The items on the menu were minimal, but each item listed were very appealing to the palate. It is a great place for a Sunday brunch!

the food is good to very good; the service, on Saturday at least, simply can't keep up. Main course, after two salad hors d'oeuvres, arrived 45 minutes after our order. Had to repeatedly ask for bread, request for little ice in iced coffee ignored, etc. Staff just seemed too busy. Three of us were very happy with the food, one found the beet salad and seared yellow tale hors d'euvres remarkably skimpy.

Not being familiar with this area, we selected this restaurant based on previous reviews and the sample menu. It did not disappoint. Especially good was the hanger steak and lamb, though it could have been served hotter. The desserts were delish, especially the dessert created from passion fruit, which was like a mousse.

Service great, food great, pricey given the way seating done. We ate appetizer, salad, entrée, wine and had cocktails and bill with tip was $185. We sat next to a couple sharing a pizza with their 3 year old boy. They were seated next to us in an empty restaurant and next cover was seated next to us, sharing a wall-length banquette with “deuces.” Would have enjoyed everything better if other guests were not seated in this regimented fashion.

Great place if you are looking for good food and "quaint." The service was very attentive at the start, but then our waiter seemed to disappear for a while (and the place wasn't even that busy), and then came back strong again around dessert time. While quiet and enjoyable, if you are looking for a romantic setting for a date, this is not the place. It is too bright and commercial for a romantic dinner. Nevertheless, I would recommend Chiboust for a good dining experience.

My companion and I were intrigued by the Euro-style pizza offerings with unusual toppings, but neither of us are meat eaters. Our request for a vegetarian version was deliciously accommodated. Only drawback was that the edges of the crust were a little burnt. I have eaten here on two other occasions with friends, once for brunch and once for hot chocolate and pastries. We all found both the service and the food quite good, the ambiance quiet and mellow, the space cozy without feeling crowded.

The birthday girl's sppitizers was wrong. The mains came a few at a time again none for the birthday girl! It used to be great! I wouldn't bother going back! Come here once a week. The service was a little lacking on this particular night. The place was filled because of a show playing at the Music Hall across the street and it seemed they almost couldn't handle the crowd. But the food is very good and the manager and owner are lovely and always there to please you. they need to get their staff up to or close to their level of professionalism.

We were going to see a concert at the Tarrytown Theater and wanted a restaurant nearby. Although we didn't see this place on the theater list, we decided to give it a try. What a nice surprise! The bakery part of the name is a little misleading, so we really didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere was very comfortable and sophisticated, the food was fresh and delicious. I had the duck breast and my husband had the lamb- two yums up!. The servers were very accomodating. We will definitely go back.

Excellent food and service. My husband loves Negronis and it was made perfectly, not a usual occurrence. Delivery of entree to table was a bit slow. We had tickets to a Music Hall concert across the street, and had to skip the dessert, which we understand is a specialty. Had Sunday Brunch reservation...seated quickly..several unoccupied tables..received menus..waiter disappeared for 10 minutes..flagged down another waiter to give him drink order..coffee for my wife, beer for me...10 more minutes...this time regular waiter flagged down--where is bevereage order..Sorry, we're overwhelmed...you have to wait in line while we fill orders for people who were here before you...another 10 minutes...luke warm coffee delivered--no milk..I had ordered a Pilsner, he brought an Ale..It went downhill from there..24, indeed!.

This is my second dining experience with Chiboust Bakery. Both times, the food is trendy and delicious. I had the appetizer with shrimp and grilled pineapple. It was delicious. My husband had the salmon. The problem with this visit occurred when the wait staff forgot to give us bread, and when we asked for it they asked if we wanted a refill. We did not get bread until after the meal was finished. We ordered dessert and coffee. The dessert came 7 to 8 min later and then the coffee came another 8 min later. We were already finished with dessert. We were completely done with our meals when the wait staff asked how the food tasted. If more attention was paid to our needs then the score on this review would be 5 star all the way.

the restaurant is conveniently located across the street from the Tarrytown Music Hall. For me, this was the best feature. I felt the service was only fair. Our server may have been on his first day. He was not confident, and was not prepared to answer our questions. I thought the food was adequate. However, for the price, the food should have been spectacular. I had the salmon, which was overcooked, and not to my order preference. given the slow wait service, I didnt dare return the meal to be cooked as requested. the portion was small. the very best part of the meal was dessert. I had the flourless choc cake. it was excellent! I would go here again, but will be more selective when ordering, and allow more time.

We had the mussels for an app and they were outstanding! The Caesar salad was tasty as was the beet salad! The brick oven pizzas were among the best I have had. The food is good with a lovely presentation. But for some reason it did not WOW me. I am not a big dessert person and that is clearly where they shine. My lobster appetizer was delicious my scallop entree was okay. My husband enjoyed his pork chop. It is a quaint setting and the menu is interesting and varied. For the money I would sooner go to Harpers in Dobbs Ferry. But Chiboust is certainly quieter and a little more romantic
