Made an early reservation with my parents coming to town, we were the only ones there so it was nice and quiet. The waiter was very nice and the food was amazing! Between the four of us we had the calamari, veal Parmesan and chicken Marsala. Calamari melted in your mouth, veal was nice and crispy still (the best my partner has had!) and chicken Marsala was super tender. Reasonably priced with excellent food!

The food was good we had couple of pastas and a appetizer . They did not serve bread only later with the entree thought it was too late. Excellent desert limenchelo. Now the bad part. Did not ask if we wanted a drink. The server seemed like a sleazy dude..

We were set at a table for two next to a wall which was hot; do not know why when the rest of the resturant was pretty open. However, they happily agreed to move us near the window which was great. The food was good and the wine pour was generous. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I would never go back. The service was ok, but whether you realize it or not. It's all al la carte!! I.e. Kids meal, $5.99/$3.00 if you want French fries/$1.99 for a kids drink. Approx. total $11.00. REALLY!!

The outdoor patio is a lovely place to dine and I appreciate that it has a high divider between it and the busy sidewalk. Mediterranean salad was superb, eggplant was good, flourless chocolate cake tasted very much store-bought, with too much frosting to seem authentic. Wine pour was generous, service very attentive. I'll be back but will order a different entree. This was ~my 5th visit here.

We decided to give this place a try. We really loved the food, my husband had the osso buco and I had the pork tenderloin. Service was slow, and we never really knew who our server was. We were offered dessert menus by two different employees before we got them. Our appetizer was brought out and the server said he would be back with plates. Then we saw him serving food to other tables and we just ended up using our bread plates for the appetizers. We were halfway done with the appetizers when we finally got the plates.

We went for the first time to this restaurant on Sunday, for Mother's Day, our table outside and was quite nice. The meal was decent, nothing extroidinaray - but at the end when we went to present our Restaurant.com coupon - they told us that since this was a "holiday" they were not accepting coupons. It didn't say anything on the coupon about holiday's - nor were there any signs or mention of a special "holiday" menu. If they would have been a little more appologetic, or offered a small token of thanks for our business perhaps we would return, but now we will exchange the coupon, and never return. There are many great places in downtown Pleasanton to choose from...service is important.

We typically go to Chianti about once a week. Went this past Saturday before attending the Music Man at the Firehouse Theather. Easy to park, quick walk to both. Had the Halibut and it was great and they didn't do a bad job with my pre-dinner cosmo either. Would recommend to anyone to come see what it is all about.

My wife and I had a very nice dining experience at Chiantis. We found the service to be extremely attentive but helpful. The food quality and presentation is very nice. I had Veal Limone, my wife had prawns. Both dishes were very good, served warm and in generous portions.. They have a fun drink menu before dinner. They have a great warm bread with an oil and sun dried tomato puree before dinner, which is really good. You can dine in the restaurant or in a protected area on the sidewalk. We chose outside, which was really pleasant. The occasional motor cycle noise was annoying. Prices seemed fair for the quality. Our dishes were high teens to low twenties. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and would come here again.

The best thing about the meal was the bread and dip that you get with your meal. I had the limone which was really good. Salads were just ok. My husband had gnocchi and ventured to guess that they are not homemade and likely to be purchased. It was fair. I would not oppose to trying it again but I can think of other Italian restAurants in the area that are just as good or better
