  • "Arrived with a group of Manhattanites who loved the decor, food and Fort Greene vibe. Had a delicious meal at a round table conducive to sharing and conversation. It was an after theatre early dinner and everyone was pleased. We shared a great bottle of St. Emilion and the uptown girls wished they had such a bistro in their neck of the woods."

  • "Had a quest in town from mid-west. Wanted French due to inavailability of cuisine at home. Chez Oskar was a perfect choice. Menu was perfect for Sunday later night. Food was terrific along with ambiance and service. Will definitely return and recommend."

  • "Food wasn't bad, but wasn't good either. The server seemed lost, and managed to forget about everything we asked for (steak knife, etc.). Our drinks didn't arrive until after our second course. It was Valentine's Day. Here's the thing. V-Day is easy for a restaurant. Fixed menu. Parties of two. Easy. This place just wasn't up to it. I can't see any reason to avoid the place, but there's no reason to head there. Oddly, the cheese course added 50% to the prixe fix. Seems out of hand."

  • "This restaurant has a number of tasty dishes. I have been here in the [ast and wanted to introduce it to a friend. They offer different specials on different days. The website boasts a prix fixe, however upon arrival they say they no longer do this. After pressing the issue, a pf menu was offered. They need to update their 'new' webpage. If its advertised on the webpage it needs to be honored by the restaurant."

  • "Under time pressure to get to BAM Harvey they were really accommodating and managed the courses gracefully and expertly. Hanger steaks were really good, as was the wine. Cornish hen was well prepared. apple martini, desserts, all terrific. Very nice, relaxed ambiance. Would definitely go again."

  • "We have been coming to this place for several years now - it has not let us down once. The food is great - large portions for French food is a rare thing but here it's a norm. The staff is polite and professional. They had a slight delay with our order and apologized multiple times while we were waiting."

  • "From the time I walked in and no one even told me that someone would be with me shortly to the warm water to the watermelon beet salad with few beets and watermelon rind to the poached striped bass with tough vegetables, it was all bad. Nothing more to say. Dined there years ago and didn't return until the other evening. Now, I remember why."
