I ordered the escargots as an appetizer and was not disappointed. It was buttery goodness and you just have to dip your bread to fully enjoy. For my entree I had the rack of lamb which was carved tableside. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the sides that came with, potatoes and carrots, were beyond delicious. I splurged and had the chocolate souffle for dessert per the waiter's suggestion. All I can say is that he became my new best friend. They have an extensive wine list that you can buy by the glass or bottle. You don't need a special reason to dine here. Just go and enjoy a wonderful dining experience. The wine selection is the main reason we don't come to this restaurant more often. And they don't allow custoners to bring their own. A very limited selection of california wines and a larger but not great french selection. So many places seem at a lose about where you are to be seated, even with a reservation. Not the case at Chez-Nous. Staff was very professional and friendly. They allowed us to move through the meal at our own pace. Wide menu - wish I could have tried a number of items. Hard to choose; but the choices we had were excellent. It was divine. The ambience, service, pace, & selection were fabulous. Incredibly romantic. It is expensive, but not as high add some places we've been that were not as pleasant. Our total bilk with appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts was about $150. We don't drink alcohol, so that probably cut the average bill by quite a bit. I stuck with water. The staff was very patient and posh without being snooty. I would highly recommend this to anyone celebrating a very special occasion our just wanting to make their partner feel very special.
