One waiter was servicing the entire restaurant including the bar. The table was not comfortable we had requested round which they didn't have but only two tables acomadate 5 people. We had the less desirable one since the other was taken. The food was good the service slow with one waiter not bus staff. Unusual for an expensive restaurant even on a Sunday night. Not even a bar tender.

Our first dinner at Chez Moi was about a month ago on a Sunday night. It was a delightful evening, from the fresh bread to the well-managed service to the perfectly prepared and served poulet rotie. Our vegan son and his fiancee loved the vegetable ragout. Everything was lovely, graciously attended to, and we were anxious to return. This last visit was on a Saturday night and we brought friends. We were seated in the back room (usually reserved for private parties) because they were so busy, and we were not treated like the guests we thought we were. We had the same server as our previous visit, so that was not the problem. But the service was brusk, entrees arrived while we were still enjoying our charcuterie, and the poulet rotie was dry and overcooked. The presentation was different as well - this time it was just kind of plopped on a plate instead of nestled in a dish like last time. We were truly disappointed with the experience, and surprised at the dramatic difference in the space of a month. Perhaps it was a case of Sunday quiet vs Saturday business?

We had a delightful dinner at Chez Moi. We were there in-time to take advantage of their Early Bird prix fixe menu which is a tremendous value. We started with the Soup du Jour (cream of asparagus) and the Green lentil salad. Both were excellent. Although their cassoulet has chicken instead of the traditional duck, it has a rich flavor that includes rosemary and mixes well with white beans. The Idaho trout with sorrel and quinoa offers complementary flavors that enhance the fish. For dessert we would recommend the Gateau Breton Salidou which is a butter cake with a scoop of not too sweet ice cream in a caramel sauce. You can control the overall sweetness by how much caramel sauce you use. f you like bistro food, this is THE place.

Charming French bistro tucked into the neighborhood. Outstanding service - never rushed, he let us take our time and really enjoy our meal and evening. We started with the tarte flambé, which my friend loved but I thought was just so-so. For our dinners, I had the boeuf bourguignon and my friend had cassoulet. Both were absolutely delicious! The unctuous red wine sauce was rich and complex and I wanted to lick the plate. The cassoulet was cooked to perfection with 'just tender enough' white beans that tasted creamy next to the duck confit with hints of all the meaty and herbaceous flavors popping. I do love a good shortbread and while the brittany cake is creative and interesting tasting, it was not my favorite.

I took my daughter to chez moi for her 16 birthday, something special! I had made a note in the reservation it was her birthday and she is also a French student and would like to talk to someone in French if possible. We were greeted by the owner/chef at the door with a " happy birthday" and then he joined us at or table to speak to my daughter in French! Everything about our experience here was top notch! Our server Bethany was the sweetest most attentive server and we also had a very nice conversation with her as she was a French exchange student at one time. And then there is the food OMG, sheer heaven!!! We had the French onion soup the beef tenderloin in pastry puff and the Brittney cake. Best experience ever! Do yourself a favor GO!!

The fall menu option was delicious from the pumpkin soup to the pumpkin crème brulee. My daughter and I shared the prix fixe menu and I got a separate soup and that was perfect for us. The only negative was a table behind me had an absolutely humongous bottle of wine that they'd obviously brought with them and as they drank more they got louder and louder. Very hard to carry on our own conversation. Food and service were excellent.

Our second visit was a disappointment. Examples: polenta almost inedible because of dried herbs sprinkled on top (not sprinkled, dumped), mussels were over cooked and rubbery, cassoulet was dry, dry, dry. Must have been one heck of an off night. Don't think we'll be going back.

We had a fantastic meal at Chez Moi last night. The food was delicious- I had the steak au poivre, my aunt and uncle split the whole sea bass and my francophile wife had the best beef bourguignon of her life. Bad start but things picked up. We unknowingly wandered into the middle of Moules Festival and we are not mussel fans. We were seated at a tiny "deuce" table next to the lavatory and waited forever for a drink. So loud we had to read lips -- probably the rattle of mussel shells. Iffy wines by the glass, bitter sourdough French bread (I didn't know the French did sourdough) and after a good 25 minute wait, a weary waiter finally took our order. Worth it, Yes! My husband said it was the best cassoulet he had ever tasted. Onion soup was watery, my asparagus soup, better and I had another house speciality, the trout. Our second wine was lovely and we were not charged for the first. We would return for the cassoulet.
