The food was amazing, as always. We have been there before as we were introduced to the place because they are participants with the Taste of Fall Fundraiser. I brought my in-laws as I knew this would make a good impression and they would enjoy the food. we were happily surprised when the chef came out to talk with us, it added to the whole experience. The staff was polite and warm. They all loved it and this will be on my go-to list for special occasions, guests in town, or just a good dinner with my husband.

We were regulars at the former Red Rooster at this location and Chez Moi...is even better. This is authentic Parisian dining, even though, yes, the chef/owner hails from Alsace. The sauces, the pate, the bread, etc. Excellent, and at a reasonable price.

We have been frequenting Chez moi ever since it opened about 2 years ago. From the beginning Chef Dominique has served classic Bistro Food, but often is adding his own modern twist. It has been an outstanding place for a very, very good meal at a fair price. the wine list is extensive, even the "by the Glass" pours". We have gone back often an will continue to do so.

We had four items, two appetizers and two entrees. Every item was top notch. Steak Frites were an unique take on a classic, and the trout had a sauce that was just fantastic. I honestly cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Wonderful food and service, and the ambiance was fantastic! Went for brunch with some friends, I got the steak and frites, and the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. They also have great bloody Mary's and a great bottomless mimosa deal. One of my friends got the smoked salmon crepe - and that was fantastic, light and divine and something I would order next time. Would highly recommend!

We dined early outside and had the prix fixe dinner for $29. There were many choices and the ones the 4 of us chose were excellent. Our server knew just how to take care of us (he worked at Cafe Bernard at same spot for many years). To top it off the chef stopped by our table and we had a really enjoyable conversation with him. The whole evening was such a personal, relaxing experience.

Every aspect of our dining experience was exceptional. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, and our server, Nichole, greeted us with two glasses of champagne. Nichole gave us some good recommendations, and we chose a split pea soup special, a melon and prosciutto salad, the duck entree and a mushroom ravioli special. The appetizers were sublime, but the ravioli from Chez Moi was the best ravioli I've ever tasted. The portions were perfectly appropriate. We had the Brittany cake to finish everything off, and both of us loved it.

My wife had taken our grown children here before, but I had not been yet...simply said, it was one of the best gastronomic experiences I've had in a long, long time. Dominique and his beautiful wife India are warm and inviting, and Bethany was the perfect server. It's a very quaint space in the Halstead area. The food is lovingly prepared and presented in classic French style. We all felt like part of the family, and will most certainly be back again!

I would say Chez Moi is a "Good" French Restaurant. Honestly, however, I was expecting a bit more. The rabbit and the duck had rave reviews from my dining companions, but I was less than impressed with their "Casoulet"- it was very heavy on the beans and light on everything else. Traditional French items (Kir Royale and Foie Gras) lacked that special something for me. The service was good and responsive... the place just left me wanting a little more.

The restaurant was very accommodating. Our reservation was in the middle of a thunderstorm. One couple was stuck on the Metra which was not moving at all. Finally they cancelled saying they were just going home when the train started. But then the train started and they came after all. Chez Moi held our dinner orders, and let the tardy couple order the pre-fixe meal. In the middle of all this, they were also serving a large wedding party dinner.

Very nice decor and outside dining area. Service was excellent. They have an early prix fixe dinner for $29 for 3 courses. We tried 6 different dishes and all were delicious. Standouts included the french onion soup, salmon, the cassoulet, and the shortbread dessert. Our server Nicole and the manager Tony were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We asked Nicole to pair wines with each of the dishes and the pairings were perfect. We can't wait to go back to introduce others to gem.
