A word from Chez Boet
A chic Parisian-style bistro, Chez Boët serves authentic, market-inspired French classics such as Kobe boeuf bourguignon, bouillabaisse, orange duck, locally-sourced seafood, and cheese Fondue. Our menu is now 90% gluten-free and features Kobe beef, organic spices, and healthy French sea salt. The country-French cuisine is inspired by classic recipes of fresh seasonal ingredients handed down through generations of French home cooks. Mixologist Philippe recommends French aperitifs, his classic cocktails, digestifs or scotchs from the full bar. Warm service and designer decor create a welcoming ambiance perfect for an intimate dinner or for entertaining friends. An outdoor covered terrace has views of the waterfront village of Crayton Cove. Since 2003, Parisian imports Lisa and Philippe Boët have been organizing private parties for groups and celebrations.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Very good French food...loved the coq au vin and escargot. Topped it off with the chocolate fondue. Wonderful live music. Great bar. Cozy lounges. Outdoor seating great for the sunset."

  • "Chez Boet exceeded our expectations. The dining room was warm and relaxing and the food was outstanding. The duck was amazing and foie gras was prepared perfectly. We also had an endive salad that was unique and delicious. Our waiter was helpful with recommendations. We have been to many outstanding restaurants in Naples but wanted to try something new so we gave Chez Boet a shot. It was well worth it and we will go back."

  • "Great food and conscientious service made this hidden French restaurant a special experience for my wife's birthday."

  • "The waiter gave us a very good recommendation from the menu and we all really enjoyed his choice."

  • "Appetizers (pate and escargot) and entrees ( tangines, duck, bouillabaisse ) were excellent. Desserts (Apple and flour less cake) were just ok. Service and ambience excellent. 3rd time there, and will go again."

  • "Chez Boet has become our favorite go-to spot in Old Naples. The food is consistently of the highest quality, with creative and thoughtful presentation. Service is outstanding. The husband and wife owners are on the premises, mixing with their customers. This is not my first review of Chez Boet, and it only gets better each year. It tops our list of where to take the out of town visitors, most of whom have done the 5th Avenue and 3rd Street routines."

  • "The servers totally turned our order around, bringing the salad before the appetizer, then the dinner came out. We sent it back and insisted on the appetizer next. Of course the dinner was not as hot when it came after that. Regardless, it was all delicious in a cozy atmosphere."

  • "I ordered a special, cassoulet, anticipating cassoulets I had eaten at other restaurants and at home. Instead of a nice thick sauce, it was more like bean soup. The best cassoulets have chunks of multiple meats, especially sausage, in addition to the duck. There was something I could not recognize but mostly celery and onions. I make better cassoulet at home. Others in the party seemed pleased with their choices. I also found the bread ordinary. In all, for the price of the restaurant, we would have been more satisfied elsewhere."

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed the bistro ambience. Very welcoming. Outstanding service, delicious food. Enjoyed my escargot and crispy duck. Onion soup was outstanding. Fresh fish in parchment yummy. Will make this a regular place to get my French fix. Good wines. Bon appetite!"

  • "We love Chez Boet.....it is small, intimate and the food is excellent. Our server was very attentive. Our friends from out of town were very impressed with the evening. Nearly every table was full and the noise level was higher than usual but certainly didn't interfere with our evening. Lisa and Phillippe (the owners) visit most every table and are very personable, making you feel like you're eating in their home. The duck that two of us had was very, very good and we finished with crème brulee that was a fitting ending to a lovely evening. We'll definitely be returning!"

  • "We were there for my father-in-laws birthday in Feb., with another couple, so 6 of us. We shared a few apps....the chicken liver salad was heavenly with caramelized onions, mussels were very good in a light white wine lemon sauce and of course the Escargots. The Tagine entrees were very nice, 2 at the table had them. A popular ethnic food of France with the Moroccan flair, a very earthy and hearty stew with curry & spices. Oh, & the Fondue.....one pot though is good for 6 people. They said we should order 2....there was a lot left over."

  • "We had a lovely evening. The food was good and interesting. The service was attentive and friendly. We love the intimate feeling of the restaurant. You feel like you have been out for a special meal. It is my husband's favorite restaurant."

  • "Dining at Chez Boet is so comfortable to dine in that we almost forget we're in a great restaurant. The wait staff is great, the food is delicious, and the owners make you feel like you've been invited into their home as a guest...someone with whom they haven't seen in years and can't wait to entertain and get reacquainted. The most comfortable restaurant in Naples in which to dine!!"

  • "Away from the crowds and frenzy of 5th Ave, Chez Boet is a bit of an oasis. The owner is very personable and takes the time to chat and connect with her customers. I struggle a bit to find an appetizer but inevitably I have a good, authentic French meal."

  • "A great meal. Lovely feel to the restaurant and terrific service. We have dined at almost every restaurant in Naples . Definitely a great spot."

  • "We had an excellent meal, perfect salmon and beautifully prepared duck. A special endive salad was tasty and the escargots were very good. Professional and polite service. Had to skip dessert tonight but will definetly have the fondue next time."

  • "Good classic French food in a comfortable, relatively quiet room. I started with onion soup which was good, not overly cheesy as American restaurants often make it. My wife had a salad which she enjoyed. Both of us had a fish special which was pricey at more than $30-. It was in a cream sauce and so were the potatoes. Mixed vegetables, very well done, came with it. The staff was older than normal. Our waiter was in his seventies, very low key, but charming. If you like French cooking, Chez Boet is worth a visit. It won't stand out from other French restaurants, but then French food is usually very good."

  • "This restaurant is on the small side, intimate, friendly and unpretentious. The ambience is comfortably upscale. You won't go wrong with any of their menu choices. Food prices are moderate and reasonable. House wines are inexpensive and very good in my humble opinion, but if you want to spend more they have a very nice selection. This our favorite Naples dinner date location."

  • "We love French food, and this is our favorite french restaurant in town. Always, always have the pate…it is the best! This weekend we both ordered the rack of lamb and it was cooked to perfection. And the sauce with it was delicious. Ended our dinner with coffee and the puff pastry napoleon. A great meal as always. My husband's only complaint is that there is not much of a bourbon selection from which to choose, and being from KY he does know his bourbon."

  • "Once again, one of the best restaurant experiences in the Naples area"

  • "We love Chez Boet. If you want a delicious meal, this is the place to go. We have eaten here several times and the food has always been consistently good. Our favorites are the escargot, rack of lamb and duck. I also had a glass of French Riesling which was one of the best I've tasted for a reasonable price. Our dessert was a Napoleon which was very light and delicious. Our server was also very attentive and recommended a couple of items which turned out to be excellent choices. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Lastly, we asked Lisa, one of the owners, if they ever have chocolate mousse or profiteroles on the menu. She said the next time we come back to call her 48 hours before and she will have one of them as a special dessert."

  • "We will never dine at this restaurant again! There are many alternative french restaurants so this one can be missed. Our waiter was rude and obnoxious! For example, I asked for mustard for the pate and was given an attitude. Furthermore, because he did not listen to our order, he served the wrong item. When questioned, he gave a scathing remark! The food is good but his behavior was totally unacceptable and ruined what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. Disgraceful!"

  • "Good standard bistro fare in a good location by the water. Pleasant ambiance with music, a nice change from the noisy places that are so often the case."

  • "Well-done, if limited Valentine's Day menu at Chez Boet, one of the last bastions of traditional French cooking in Naples. A beautiful room. nice wine list and friendly, if overwhelmed service. Despite being in the first seating, things were happening at a pretty glacial pace with lots of confusion. A fine meal but not inexpensive."

  • "Good basic French food. Had some difficulty in being seated at the time of our reservation. Worth it if you are in the neighborhood but not worth seeking out."

  • "The ambience is unremarkable. On the night we went to Chez Boet, it was very busy and very, very noisy. No decor to absorb the noise. There was piano playing but we could not hear it over the noise. The food was mediocre. The fois gras had a slightly warm sauce over the cold fois gras. The snapper in parchment was ok but not outstanding. The poached pear with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce was already wilting when served. The other guests at the table had the salmon and beef Wellington. Again, the consensus was that the food was ok but not exceptional. My lingering impression of this restaurant is that it is extremely noisy serving mediocre food with good service."

  • "I made dinner reservations for our party of six friends for Valentine's night a month in advance at this cute little French bistro. The owner, Lisa assured me that the menu was not an expensive fixed price one for that evening and she even emailed me a copy several weeks before since it was a limited menu off their regular one. I emailed each guest a copy of the menu and they were happy with the choices and prices, especially being a la cart. Everything was excellent and all of us enjoyed our meals, we did end up with only five people which was better since the round table was small and better suited for five adults. We will return for another night in the future!"

  • "We were led to believe by the adverts that this was a waterfront restaurant, which it is not. We arrived early and were seated in a waiting area and served drinks. Still, we ended up waiting 20 minutes past our reservation time to finally get seated at our table. The menu was extremely limited and ridiculously overpriced ($45 for a two inch slice of Beef Wellington), served by a waiter that clearly was simply going through the motions."

  • "The food tasted as if it had been warmed up, My wife had the beef wellington it was tough and not heated throughout. I had the snapper, which I would not order again. A disappointing valentine dinner."

  • "Went Valentines Day - so limited menu and very busy. Food arrived in timely fashion. Portions were just right and prepared perfectly. The pâté appetizer was outstanding. The only negative is we were seated at a small round cafe table which is charming and adds to French ambiance but definitely not practical for dinner. Bottom line is we would go back and would recommend."

  • "If you are, as I am, fatigued by noisy restaurants with even worse music give this a try. Weekday found soft live piano music, available parking in the rear, informal but prompt service. We have been there just once but the menu is quite broad, food delicately prepared, and if our second trip is as good as our first experience, we will add Chez Boet to our short list of "regulars" in a town full of good restaurants."
