Chesapeake Inn RestaurantGreat Mothers Day Brunch! We have a had a fantastic Mothers Day brunch at Chesapeake Inn 2 years in a row now. My wife enjoyed the first one so much, it was a given that we'd be back for Mothers Day again this year. Outstanding food, wide selection and well prepared, and the atmosphere and view are fantastic. I suspect this restaurant is very enjoyable for just about any meal, and we'll certainly be back again for the brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food and a fun atmosphereDelicious food and a fun atmosphere with a beautiful view!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day BrunchBeat Mothers Day brunch ever! Even my picky 10 year old loved it!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day DinnerOur visit was very relaxing with the scenic view and the food and service was very good.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible Mother's Day BrunchOur family of 6 (2 parents, 2 grandparents, 2 young kids) all had a wonderful meal & brunch experience on Mother's Day. The brunch buffet was massive, delicious, and kid/adult friendly. My young kids had plenty of choices - from fresh fruit, made-while-you-wait waffles, cheese, crackers, scrambled eggs,to pastries, bagels, muffins, etc. The adults in our party enjoyed the crab cakes, prime rib, salads, salmon,& side dishes galore. Dessert was amazing - lots of mini-sized treats allowed us to sample a few. There was even a gluten-free option for my diabetic father. We ate outside on the new terrace - phenomenal!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Mother's Day BrunchAll I can say is that this place has got it together. I wanted to take my mom somewhere for Mother's Day that was a little more upscale than the traditional breakfast chains. When I saw the brunch buffet menu, I knew I had to get us reservations. Every point in the dining room looks out at the Chesapeake Bay and there are windows all around looking out at the marina, which was wonderful. We requested a seat right at a window and they accommodated our request. Everything I ate was amazing. From the omelette (lump crab meat, cheese, peppers, onions & old bay seasoning) to the crab bisque soup (probably my FAVORITE dish) to the crab cakes and many side dishes. Great coffee! Oh, and the apple tart at the dessert bar was outstanding!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMImpressedThis was only our second time dining at cheaspeake inn and we are wowed by the friendly staff, incredible service and out of this world food. We were celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary and was a certainly a wonderful way to celebrate.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Experience - SpecialValet Parking:
+ Quick, courteous, convenient
- $4 charge with literally no other options, especially with handicap person in our party.
Hostess/Host:
+Friendly and attentive, great table next to window with panoramic views.
Waiter and bussing staff:
+Friendly, attentive, pleasant. Usually bussing staff tend to be shy - ours were very interactive.
Food:
+Extensive menu appropriate to atmosphere and expectations. Added bonus was being able to view it online prior to making reservation.
+ food was very good and portions were just right. great quality, even service pace despite is being busy. Party of four - no alcohol, three apps, four entrees, and four desserts was around $200 before adding in gratuity.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMInsist on a window seatDrove a long distance to get here, only to be seated next to a wall with no view. We were a party of four; arrived at our reservation time, but a table was not ready. When we asked for a different table (with a view), we were told that the wait would be another 20 minutes. With only about 40% of the place filled, there were several 8-ups available, but no 4-ups. We called their bluff and got up from the table just as the waiter arrived with water. He seemed rather upset with the hostesses and told them, "just seat them at the 8-up; no one is using them and no one is coming to use them." Sure enough, that's what we did. After that, everything was great!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat time and good foodI went with some out of town guests. They have never been there before. We chose to dine inside because it was relatively cold even for a day in May. Matt was our server and he did a fabulous job of ensuring each guest was taken care of. The food was delicious too. Great dining experience. After eating we proceeded downstairs to enjoy the nightlife, which was very convenient. The entertainment was amazing! Our server downstairs was Faith and she too was very attentive.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service were excellent.Food and service were excellent. Pricey, couldn't afford it on a regulare basis. We surprised our daughter for her 26th birthday with an unbelievable dinner. The food is perfecto. Every table receives a basket of mixed artisan breads. Every table you can see a beautiful view. You come here for the food, the view, and the ambiance. You are not disappointed here. We will be back again and again.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMExperience was very good overall,Experience was very good overall, but desserts (cakes) were very dry from sitting out too long.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMvisited for Easter Brunchvisited for Easter Brunch and it was outstanding. Our kids loved it too,3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe centerpieces were beautiful,The centerpieces were beautiful, the table settings lovely. the bunny giving an egg to the children a nice touch, however I thought there could have been more "kid friendly" food items, and lastly the food tables were very tight and one very far away.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMA very nice experience. ThisA very nice experience. This was our 4th or 5th Easter Brunch at the Inn and although the Bloody Mary's were not a strong as we remembered, the selection and quality of the food was excellent. Julie our waitress did a great job, was cordial and put up with my silliness.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary No. 43We have been here before but not for several years. We had an excellent meal based on wonderful and honest recommendations from our waitress, Julie. The naked fish option is a unique addition to the menu. It was our anniversary and Julie brought us complimentary champagne!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMService was excellent (BillService was excellent (Bill was our server)...Very attentive but never poorly timed.
Food was not as good as we have had in the past......the crab cake was very soupy in the interior (mayo???) and the tuna was over cooked and very dry....the tuna was returned, but came back dryer the second time......(guess I should not have complained?)
Great atmosphere!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were greeted cordially,We were greeted cordially, seated and attended to in a timely and cordial manner. We had a lovely time with our group and were treated very well.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
