Chelsea RistoranteSuper Italian ExperienceI grew up in NYC and have had many Italian meals in traditional Italian restaurants. This is my go-to place in Chelsea for an authentic experience and it did not disappoint, even on Mother's Day. I had a group of 6 and everyone had a wonderful meal. Great staff, wonderful service, fresh fish, lovely ambiance and delicious homemade cheesecake. Could not have asked for more - from the warm greeting to the complimentary apertifs. Just. The service was first-rate and the food could not have been more fresh and authentic. Two of us had the ravioli special, one had the chicken special and I had a veal dish. No complaints from anyone -- only rave reviews!! It was starting to fill up when we left. We mostly had light dishes so I can't comment on the main entrees. Two of us had the Marguerita pizza which was a very tasty thin-crust pizza. I was somewhat dissapointed because I was expecting fresh mozzarella and more basil (which the waiter brought at my request). Two others had the eggplant and mozzarella appetizer from the specials menu and the artichoke haearts. They enjoyed both. The selections were varied and the pasta was homemade .
I enjoyed my fish selection and and my vegeterian daughter enjoyed her pizza. Would definitely return. Its very spacious with authentic food,good wine list and perfect hosts .
