The food at Chef Station was as always quite good. This was a special occassion "Birthday" and we indicated that when we made the reservation and it was neither mentioned nor was there any special "treat" for celebrating a birthday. The food service felt a little rushed in terms of courses coming too fast.

Chef's Station is a great place! I almost hesitate to tell too many people about it because I don't want it to become too crowded. The food is fabulous. The ambiance is older world...remember when you could hear yourself talk in a restaurant? If you miss those days, this is your place.

Chef's Station is a delight. The Salvadorian chicken soup special was delicious and filling, the salads fresh and interesting, and two foie gras starter was amazing. We also enjoyed the risotto special and the quail starter. We generally order at least one special here and are never disappointed. The chocolate cake with walnut ice cream is a constant winner.

This was our 3rd or 4th visit to Chef's Station and the first for our guests. Our server was so nice but maybe a little inexperienced in terms of initial timing.... We waited 20 minutes or so for our bottle of wine to show up. That being said, the service for the rest of the meal was great. 3 in our party had fish ( all three kinds on the menu ) and all raved about how delicious it was. I ordered the short ribs and they were FABULOUS!! Moist, tender and not fatty at all. Our starters included the mussels and the beet salad with warm goat cheese. Raves all around for both. What we love most about the restaurant (aside from the excellent food ) is the ambiance and the staff. I love the look of the room-warm and inviting.
