We had the fried pickles starter (interesting but won't get them again--too filling), seafood combination (mussels, crabcake, shrimp), one of the burgers and shrimp oriechiette (shrimp with pasta, asparagas & cream sauce). All were top quality, good sized portions, perfectly seasoned. The service was just right: cordial, on time, made us feel welcome. Mystery Beer is always fun. Happy Hour drinks are good, but the special bar drinks are too good to pass up (and not on Happy Hour unfortunately). Food is always quick to arrive, top quality, and delicious. The food was excellent and always is......the only hitch that I've ever encountered at CG's is that sometimes the primary wait person is not the one who serves the food, and on some of those occasions, the food has not been super hot. Our waitress, Christine, was outstanding and the oysters were exquisite! It was a wonderful way to celebrate 84 years young!

Also the deviled eggs reminded me so much of home. I loved them! I had the Chef Geoff burger which was cooked perfectly and my sweet potato french fries were to die for! My husband had the short ribs which were again a throw back to home cooking. Very flavorful! Our server was attentive and really knew the menu. He was really friendly and fun.
